Went here for lunch around 11:30 and it was dead, only one other person sitting inside eating. The person working the register where you order had zero social skills. He just stood there, wouldn't make eye contact and touched the computer when you said what you wanted. I said thank you several times and he never said a word except at the very end asking if I wanted my receipt. The portion sizes are big. I got the chicken hibachi with half and half noodle and rice (no extra price which I was happy about). You only get one small little side of yum yum sauce for a large container of food which is unfortunate. Additional sides of sauce are .50 each. The food appeared to be already cooked and was put in containers quickly. I did like that I was asked if I wanted teriyaki sauce on top and how much at the end. The food was decent. Kind of dry but sauce made it better. I've had better hibachi at a mall food court though. I attempted to use the bathroom which appeared to be unlocked and there was a gap between the door and frame. However it was locked and an employee was standing there next to the door on his phone and said "I think someone is in there". I did feel a little uncomfortable as I left as there were about 5 employees just standing behind the counter with nothing better to do them stare at me which was odd. read more

I love sushi, I eat a lot of it. I've tried many different places. This sushi was just ok, it was regular run of the mill sushi. I got the shrimp and beef combo which was decent, however the veggies that came with it were appalling. Literally ALL CABBAGE, with ONE piece of broccoli. Which is crazy to me. There's a bit of a wait on weekend evenings but that's a given for a decently priced meal and they FILL IT UP each time (in my experience). The staff is kind and always on top of that assembly line. I have noticed the sauce a bit more runny this time maybe a different batch then usual but still tasty. The added onions, seasame seeds, and sauce drizzled at the end really ties it all together. The only one that had anything but lust behind their eyes was the friendly young cashier. The rest of your employees, disgusting. What makes it work, is that when I was VISIBLY uncomfortable, the two nearest line cooks, were giggling, while the other was smirking maintaining direct eye contact. I've been told by other pretty women, that they've experienced this as well. Every time it's so uncomfortable. I get it, I'm pretty, but teach your employees class. I honestly don't agree with the bad reviews. I actually like Quickway. The money you are spending is not that much and you're still getting great portions. I especially love their spring rolls. I believe they still have eliminated seating so you probably still have to do carry out. But if you are on a budget and want some quick Japanese food you can't go wrong with Quickway. read more

Then when I call to say something it's like going through a polygraph, cavity search and X-ray before someone's end says I'm sorry that's not right we will fix it on your next order. It's like pulling teeth (thankfully I some fake ones left) to get my wrong orders made right. So we stopped coming, and we stopped telling people about this place. The portions are a joke. Paying for extra meat and getting barely anything... just buy a second meal. Don't bother asking for yum yum sauce unless you have a kidney to spare. WTF? Run to Walmart and get some. Ordered a hibachi meal. It took almost 30 minutes which for a quick service restaurant is unacceptable. I began to request a refund and then they rushed my order to not give me my money back. Then I asked for the hibachi sauce, which is what you do at a Quickway and the person literally threatened me because he didn't like that I was upset. Like he was ready to instigate a fight. I'm a grown ass man that could be his father. Yes I was upset. Upset that it took forever to get my food. And now I'm pissed that I was threatened because I was unhappy with the service. I will NEVER go back in this store. I have ate at Quickway Rockville and Germantown for YEARS and never had the issue or customer service I experienced here today. Terrible. read more

The salmon was dry and fried rice, head big chunks of white rice and was hard. I also had some sushi which was not too bad. You could tell the cream cheese had been sitting because it was a little soft, and they barely gave you a quarter teaspoon of wasabi, literally crumbles and the ginger was almost fuchsia in color. DELICIOUS. Great place to grab some affordable hibachi. I love the teriyaki chicken and fried rice combo. Everything is freshly made and seasoned well. Of course, oil is used heavily as is the case with most hibachi places, so don't come here expecting a light meal. I appreciate the value of each meal and find the prices to be reasonable. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant, but takeout is just as efficient. The location is great with tons of parking and other shops nearby. I highly recommend stopping here if you're craving hibachi and look forward to trying more of the menu! read more

OK, so I like it. It's a great concept. Fast, cheap, and super convenient location on my way home from work. The portions are huge. The thing that I don't like is the quality. On multiple occasions the chicken has been extremely over cooked. It's impossible to cut with a fork. They drench it in sauce, which I am convinced is to help mask the burnt flavor. The beef is usually chewy. Not good. The fried rice is fine. I haven't tried the noodles. The real highlight here is the mixed vegetables. They are always cooked properly but bland so I recommend adding some of that yum-yum sauce for flavor. The customer service has always been great. They get you in and out pretty quick. There's not a lot of seating but it seems to be more of a take-out spot anyway. Food is served in styrofoam containers so if you don't finish at the restaurant, you can easily take home. You pick a protein (starting at $5.95), then select your add-ons at $1.75 each. After that, you choose your noodles, rice and sides. The chefs behind the counter will whip it up and serve it to you. Today, I chose the tofu with mixed veggies and fried rice. I added 4 pieces of California roll, 3 pieces of dumplings and a small soda. My total was $11.75. The tofu was amazing. Seasoned and cooked perfectly! All of the other foods were tasty as well. Service was very friendly and fast. Dining area looked very clean. Business was slow, but I am assuming people don't know they are open here yet. I am excited to come back and try the rest of the menu, which includes fusion and specialty sushi rolls. read more

I love quickway. It satisfies my hibachi craving. I always get the chicken and shrimp wth extra shrimp, rice, extra sauce and lots of cabbage. It's not super fancy but it's good. They give you big portions so I can hardly ever eat it all in one sitting. The price is reasonable. Mine always comes out to be on the higher side but that's because I get extra shrimp. The place is clean and pleasant. There really isn't much to complain about. It does have a chipotle type atmosphere but that doesn't bother me. When I want hibachi this is where I go. It's worth a try. I've been eating here quite often for about a year now and I have yet to be disappointed. They also have some sushi rolls. The offerings on the menu. protein : shrimp - chicken - beef, pick 1-3 Sides : *Japanese "salad" ,this one, er-um yeah...chopped iceberg...wait for it....chopped iceberg...that's all! *A cucumber, onion vingerette salad *Steamed cabbage and carrots Starches : * spaghetti diameter lo-mein noodles *fried rice Flat top grill sautéed, add teriyaki if desired... Serve. Seating was simple but adequate. Decor, simple but fine. Not noisy. Our meals Beef and shrimp, noodles and cabbage mix. Chicken and shrimp noodles, rice and cabbage mix Both dishes were tasty and cooked well. The rice was not great, my guess was the batch. The noodles were the bomb! I am updating this review since the past two times I've come here, my experience was completely disgusting. On the most recent visit, the woman who was working the cash register was doing so with her food service gloves on. She was ringing up orders, taking cash, and giving change in the same gloves in which she proceeded to prepare sushi! I watched her go from the cash register to the sushi counter, rolling and pressing the rice with her dirty gloves. She never changed them and continued to go back forth to the register and then prepare sushi orders. On one other occasion before this, again I ordered sushi. The man was mopping the floor, when my order was put in, he put the mop in the bucket and used the same gloves to begin preparing my food! More over, he was completely offended when I asked him to change his gloves and prepare a fresh order for me! Someone is going to get terribly sick from eating food at this establishment if they don't start taking steps to prepare food in a sanitary manner. I'm sure this is their daily practice. How many times have people placed their orders and sat at their tables, only for their food to be prepared in dirty gloves? They just didn't witness it. read more

Pretty good food. The beef and chicken are both good as well as the noodles, fried rice and steamed veggies. They used to have a cucumber salad and pasta that they no longer have which is unfortunate as they don't offer enough veggies. The yum yum sauce is good and the used to have bottle of it out on the counter but now they give you a tiny jar of it and charge you $.50 for extra which is extremely grimy.
