Went here for lunch around 11:30 and it was dead, only one other person sitting inside eating. The person working the register where you order had zero social skills. He just stood there, wouldn't make eye contact and touched the computer when you said what you wanted. I said thank you several times and he never said a word except at the very end asking if I wanted my receipt. The portion sizes are big. I got the chicken hibachi with half and half noodle and rice (no extra price which I was happy about). You only get one small little side of yum yum sauce for a large container of food which is unfortunate. Additional sides of sauce are .50 each. The food appeared to be already cooked and was put in containers quickly. I did like that I was asked if I wanted teriyaki sauce on top and how much at the end. The food was decent. Kind of dry but sauce made it better. I've had better hibachi at a mall food court though. I attempted to use the bathroom which appeared to be unlocked and there was a gap between the door and frame. However it was locked and an employee was standing there next to the door on his phone and said "I think someone is in there". I did feel a little uncomfortable as I left as there were about 5 employees just standing behind the counter with nothing better to do them stare at me which was odd. read more

I love sushi, I eat a lot of it. I've tried many different places. This sushi was just ok, it was regular run of the mill sushi. I got the shrimp and beef combo which was decent, however the veggies that came with it were appalling. Literally ALL CABBAGE, with ONE piece of broccoli. Which is crazy to me. Tried this place for something new, probably won't order from here again. However I will say that the food was ready quick and came hot. read more

The service is bad and the order taker doesn't understand English. When walked in the restaurant, the cashier ignored me and was filling phone orders and those that came up to pick them up, instead of acknowledging me in front of him. Do not recommend this place. read more

We order take out from this place frequently! Horrible customer service when interacting with any employee who works the lead register to take orders! No attention to specific details on an order has resulted in numerous times getting home, then realizing my order is INCORRECT! Also recently found out from my bank that I was charged TWICE on my card for the same order, the same day! The food is usually undercooked or overcooked and dry! Will probably not going back any time soon and would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

Zero stars. Terrible. Very small portions, veggies are all cabbage on 3 entrees. Chicken and beef portions a joke. Never again! Watered down yum yum. Lowest quality of meat imaginable. Close up! . read more

This spot is one of my local favorites, filling and tasty every single time! There's a bit of a wait on weekend evenings but that's a given for a decently priced meal and they FILL IT UP each time (in my experience). The staff is kind and always on top of that assembly line. I have noticed the sauce a bit more runny this time maybe a different batch then usual but still tasty. The added onions, seasame seeds, and sauce drizzled at the end really ties it all together. Their bento boxes are quite filling too! I love quickway! read more

Kids love the fried rice and sushi. For the price is cheaper than any other fast food. Problem is the folks taking your order. He is an ahole. Never smiles. Never says hello or welcome. Have to repeat your order several times. Dude sucks. He is probably the owners son pisses he has the job. Get rid of him. This is not NYC. read more

Been coming here for years and I've never had a bad experience! It may not be the best hibachi but it most definitely is the best bang for your buck especially even with inflation my meal of beef and chicken is still around $10 bucks! Food was fantastic. What's not fantastic, is being a woman and walking into an empty food place and be greeted with 10, gawking, perverted cooks staring directly at me. The only one that had anything but lust behind their eyes was the friendly young cashier. The rest of your employees, disgusting. What makes it work, is that when I was VISIBLY uncomfortable, the two nearest line cooks, were giggling, while the other was smirking maintaining direct eye contact. I've been told by other pretty women, that they've experienced this as well. Every time it's so uncomfortable. I get it, I'm pretty, but teach your employees class. Have them stare at their f*cking feet if they can't keep their jaws off the floor. Women- beware. Bring your partners in with you if you don't want to be stared down by 10 men at the same time. GROSS. I don't pay money for food to be sexually intimidated every time I step foot in your establishment. read more

I honestly don't agree with the bad reviews. I actually like Quickway. The money you are spending is not that much and you're still getting great portions. I especially love their spring rolls. I believe they still have eliminated seating so you probably still have to do carry out. But if you are on a budget and want some quick Japanese food you can't go wrong with Quickway. read more

Really wish I could give no stars! This place continues to disappoint. Dry, hard rice and chicken, dirty establishment. It's pretty much a carryout seeing as though you can't sit down and eat. And you think maybe you just got them on a bad night, but nope. We will not be returning. I can make better food at home. read more

Quickway Japanese Hibachi continues to offer disappointing experiences with poor customer service and cleanliness issues. Despite its marginal cuisine, the overall atmosphere suffers due to neglect in maintaining cleanliness and a lack of attentive customer care. Would recommend trying another local restaurant before throwing your money away at this McDonalds of a hibachi restaurant. read more

Every time we go here (last time was yesterday). We hope it will be like it was when we first started going but let the penny pinching begin for food that is so overcooked I'm going to the dentist Wednesday. (Not a joke!) so many things wrong but the main thing ... when you fry shrimp for sushi- the goal is not to vaporize it or form rock crystal/candy but if it is then you've succeeded the last 2 visits. Also, why have a menu showing people what they will get if you're going to make it your way every time. I've come in several times and every time I order the same thing but it's made differently every time. I'm gunna come in one time and just say surprise me ... because clearly you do anyways but more importantly what I want doesn't matter as a customer. Then when I call to say something it's like going through a polygraph, cavity search and X-ray before someone's end says I'm sorry that's not right we will fix it on your next order. It's like pulling teeth (thankfully I some fake ones left) to get my wrong orders made right. So we stopped coming, and we stopped telling people about this place. The portions are a joke. Paying for extra meat and getting barely anything... just buy a second meal. Don't bother asking for yum yum sauce unless you have a kidney to spare. WTF? Run to Walmart and get some. It's not like it's that hard to make anyways. Yours isn't that secretive. I can make my own (better than yours even) at home. This place is going to go under if it doesn't get out of its own micromanaging way. Insane. Gave 2 stars for the times our orders were right and the food wasn't wasn't over cooked, over seasoned, underwhelming or just plain crappy. read more

I am a frequent user of Quickway in this site location does not know how to cook the chicken. The grill was not cleaned, and the chicken was burnt so much so that it was in edible. read more

Ordered a hibachi meal. It took almost 30 minutes which for a quick service restaurant is unacceptable. I began to request a refund and then they rushed my order to not give me my money back. Then I asked for the hibachi sauce, which is what you do at a Quickway and the person literally threatened me because he didn't like that I was upset. Like he was ready to instigate a fight. I'm a grown ass man that could be his father. Yes I was upset. Upset that it took forever to get my food. And now I'm pissed that I was threatened because I was unhappy with the service. I will NEVER go back in this store. I have ate at Quickway Rockville and Germantown for YEARS and never had the issue or customer service I experienced here today. Terrible. read more

Quickway Japanese Hibachi - noodles and meat in a styrofoam container - Japanese Near Me - Frederick, Maryland

DELICIOUS. Great place to grab some affordable hibachi. I love the teriyaki chicken and fried rice combo. Everything is freshly made and seasoned well. Of course, oil is used heavily as is the case with most hibachi places, so don't come here expecting a light meal. I appreciate the value of each meal and find the prices to be reasonable. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant, but takeout is just as efficient. The location is great with tons of parking and other shops nearby. I highly recommend stopping here if you're craving hibachi and look forward to trying more of the menu! read more

I ordered food from this restaurant through Uber eats and it was horrible. I had the salmon and steak with rice and vegetables. The steak was burnt. The salmon was dry and fried rice, head big chunks of white rice and was hard. I also had some sushi which was not too bad. You could tell the cream cheese had been sitting because it was a little soft, and they barely gave you a quarter teaspoon of wasabi, literally crumbles and the ginger was almost fuchsia in color. I would expect a Japanese restaurant to have good sushi and fresh ingredients. I will never order from here again.. read more

OK, so I like it. It's a great concept. Fast, cheap, and super convenient location on my way home from work. The portions are huge. The thing that I don't like is the quality. On multiple occasions the chicken has been extremely over cooked. It's impossible to cut with a fork. They drench it in sauce, which I am convinced is to help mask the burnt flavor. The beef is usually chewy. Not good. The fried rice is fine. I haven't tried the noodles. The real highlight here is the mixed vegetables. They are always cooked properly but bland so I recommend adding some of that yum-yum sauce for flavor. The customer service has always been great. They get you in and out pretty quick. There's not a lot of seating but it seems to be more of a take-out spot anyway. Food is served in styrofoam containers so if you don't finish at the restaurant, you can easily take home. Super convenient. read more

So like, super great food. You should try this place!! BUT service can improve. I called to place a order at this location so I could just come and pick it up. No one answered the phone so I just drove over. The guy at the register was NOT the most pleasant. I'm not even sure he was awake. I could hear the phone ringing off the hook for like 5 minutes straight and no one even hesitated to pick it up. I gave my order - repeated it a good amount to him to make sure it was right. He didn't go back over the order when I finished. 10 mins pass by - my number is called. My white rice was fried, they forgot the green onions on a meal that literally says it comes with it. And jipped me on a paid for yum yum sauce. BUTTTT food is amazing. HUGE portions! Will be back, but will have to check my order before I leave. Good luck doordashers. read more

The 1 star is for the service and the way their ordering and pick up process is. My family and I enjoy their food however they're super busy all the time and you pick your orders up in the same location as the people ordering. They line is typically out the door and it can take you 20 min or more to get to the register to pick up your food. They need a separate place to pick up online orders. read more

The food is always tasty, prepared to order and is still hot when I take my carryout back to work. I normally get the beef and shrimp combo. CARRYOUT ORDERS BEWARE: The last 2 times ordering, my meal has been incorrect. Last time my order was chicken and shrimp suppose to be beef & shrimp. Today I ordered the beef and shrimp bento, of course, no shrimp. This is twice now I've over paid for what I actually received. The Chefs need to pay more attention to customers orders instead of rushing to fill orders. read more

5I like the fact that there is ample seating and an outside patio. However, this restaurant should not be a stand alone restaurant. It seems like a lot of extra overhead for nothing. It should be in the food court of the mall. I ordered the chicken hibachi. Apparently, you get three sides. I chose a tossed salad, pasta and steamed vegetables. First of all when did bow tie pasta become a Japanese side? Anyway, I didn't realize until after the fact that they put the hibachi chicken in the same plate as all the sides. I guess that would have been fine but I don't want smoking hot chicken on top of my tossed salad. At any rate, I feel like if you want hibachi chicken for cheap just go to the food court at the mall. read more

I've been eyeing the construction of this place over the past month or so. I was pretty sure it was going to be a Chipotle-style Japanese restaurant. When I drove by on Friday, I saw grand opening flags flying, signalling the arrival of a new joint to try. I went today at 12 noon for lunch. The menu is large and easy to read. You pick a protein (starting at $5.95), then select your add-ons at $1.75 each. After that, you choose your noodles, rice and sides. The chefs behind the counter will whip it up and serve it to you. Today, I chose the tofu with mixed veggies and fried rice. I added 4 pieces of California roll, 3 pieces of dumplings and a small soda. My total was $11.75. The tofu was amazing. Seasoned and cooked perfectly! All of the other foods were tasty as well. Service was very friendly and fast. Dining area looked very clean. Business was slow, but I am assuming people don't know they are open here yet. I am excited to come back and try the rest of the menu, which includes fusion and specialty sushi rolls. read more

Food was great service was great ambiance was great for the cost being great for the budget 10/10 recommendations from me

Yum yum is watered down, barely any meat, rice wasn't cooked all the way, and just overall not a great experience.

I love quickway. It satisfies my hibachi craving. I always get the chicken and shrimp wth extra shrimp, rice, extra sauce and lots of cabbage. It's not super fancy but it's good. They give you big portions so I can hardly ever eat it all in one sitting. The price is reasonable. Mine always comes out to be on the higher side but that's because I get extra shrimp. The place is clean and pleasant. There really isn't much to complain about. It does have a chipotle type atmosphere but that doesn't bother me. When I want hibachi this is where I go. It's worth a try. I've been eating here quite often for about a year now and I have yet to be disappointed. They also have some sushi rolls. The shrimp tempura is delicious and worth trying. read more

So I'm from the area but had never heard of Quickway. Lazy Fish is currently closed because of an employee with COVID, so I decided to give Quickway a try. I am not disappointed, at all. I got the Green Dragon roll - 10/10, shrimp tempura roll - 8/10, and the spicy crab and shrimp roll - 5/10 (only because I couldn't eat it due to low tolerance of spices). Oh and I got the chicken dumplings - a bargain, 5 for about $3! Quickway might just become my go-to! read more

Friday evening, no kids for the weekend, no commute...can you say "date night?!" So my girlfriend mentioned she wanted a hibachi meal. We've been to Flaming Grill, I mentioned Quickway for dinner. She agreed, looking up reviews on Yelp, it was a mix of reviews. The usual, "can't make them happy" reviews, the good reviews and the excellent reviews. The good outweighed the bad. Time to go! We arrived with expectations of limited parking along the street from Yelpers heads-up No big deal, a few seconds around the corner was parking, a 2 minute walk at most. Upon entering a quick look around and yes, as mentioned in other reviews, a Chipoltesque feel. The offerings on the menu. protein : shrimp - chicken - beef, pick 1-3 Sides : *Japanese "salad" ,this one, er-um yeah...chopped iceberg...wait for it....chopped iceberg...that's all! *A cucumber, onion vingerette salad *Steamed cabbage and carrots Starches : * spaghetti diameter lo-mein noodles *fried rice Flat top grill sautéed, add teriyaki if desired... Serve. Seating was simple but adequate. Decor, simple but fine. Not noisy. Our meals Beef and shrimp, noodles and cabbage mix. Chicken and shrimp noodles, rice and cabbage mix Both dishes were tasty and cooked well. The rice was not great, my guess was the batch. The noodles were the bomb! We really liked that they were "spaghetti thin" but were lo-mein. Overall experience was pleasing. Fast service. Reasonably priced. Give them a try, worthy neighborhood fast hibachi! read more

Last night we ordered food from this place for pick up. It was really an effort since the fam and I haven't been eating out lately. It was extremely disappointing. I got shrimp hibachi with white rice, I kid you not- got three shrimp on white rice. That's it. No sauce. No veggies. Nothing. So had to eat three bites and trash the rest. Never ever goof there again. None of my family got any veggies with their order. It was bare minimum - rice and chicken. That's it. No sauce. Nothing. read more

I am updating this review since the past two times I've come here, my experience was completely disgusting. On the most recent visit, the woman who was working the cash register was doing so with her food service gloves on. She was ringing up orders, taking cash, and giving change in the same gloves in which she proceeded to prepare sushi! I watched her go from the cash register to the sushi counter, rolling and pressing the rice with her dirty gloves. She never changed them and continued to go back forth to the register and then prepare sushi orders. On one other occasion before this, again I ordered sushi. The man was mopping the floor, when my order was put in, he put the mop in the bucket and used the same gloves to begin preparing my food! More over, he was completely offended when I asked him to change his gloves and prepare a fresh order for me! Someone is going to get terribly sick from eating food at this establishment if they don't start taking steps to prepare food in a sanitary manner. I'm sure this is their daily practice. How many times have people placed their orders and sat at their tables, only for their food to be prepared in dirty gloves? They just didn't witness it. read more

Still says you can eat inside. You can't. Food wasn't that great. Lady taking orders shouting into microphone. I asked for a cup for water. They give me a small plastic cup. No water to be found. No napkins available either. Had to even ask for a fork. Very disappointing place. read more

It's great! I'm not sure why the bad reviews? You all should not expect a gourmet experience for 10 bucks?! The food was all perfect. They are cooking it right in front of you so it's gonna take a few minutes. I would highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat! Loved it! read more

Pretty good food. The beef and chicken are both good as well as the noodles, fried rice and steamed veggies. They used to have a cucumber salad and pasta that they no longer have which is unfortunate as they don't offer enough veggies. The yum yum sauce is good and the used to have bottle of it out on the counter but now they give you a tiny jar of it and charge you $.50 for extra which is extremely grimy. Service is pretty slow and is my no means "quick" per the name. read more
