First time trying milk tea in a long time and decided to try Quickly. I was going to try the location in Atwater but I did not know there is one in Merced. When my husband and I first came here I loved the vibes, they were playing music and the staff was really nice making conversations and they knew all the answers to our questions since I wasn't familiar with the flavors. Now that they changed the staff it doesn't feel the same but the milk tea is still good. I recommend Tiger, Unicorn, Taro (no caffeine), Jasmine, Thai Milk Teas & the Strawberry Banana Kiwi smoothie. I didn't know what this place was so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately I went on a Saturday during what I'm assuming was peak hours because the line was to the door. Figured I'd yelp this place as I waited nearly 15 in line. Felt like leaving many times but told myself to stick it out. Finally got to the counter and ordered a Jasmine milk tea, my fav. Almost started to regret my decision as I sat and waited another 15 minutes and read reviews about how their drinks a food suck when they're busy, but a little too late. I had already paid almost 5 dollars for a large drink so I figured if it was bad I'd leave a bad review. When I finally got my drink, I walked outside and sighed a sigh of relief being able to escape the over crowded room. Popped the straw in, took a sip and......bliss. My drink was incredibly refreshing and delicious. I'll def be back again but I'd probably preorder or come when it's not peak hours. 5 stars! read more

First time here and I liked it. Quickly is big in the Bay Area. I don't frequent Merced too much so I was pleasantly surprised to see it here. I actually was gunning for Starbucks but saw Quicklys and decided to jump in. Free Wifi. Good Boba Tea. Had a teriyaki chicken bowl, nothing special but it satisfied enough. All in all I'd recommend. I haven't had the best experience with Quickly in Merced recently. Both times when ordering the SUPER size drinks, my drinks came out bland. I supposed my mango drink would of been sweet, but it wasn't. I think the ratio/proportion when blending was incorrect, but who knows. During one of my visit, I asked the employee to see what they can do, he stated that they couldn't do anything about it. I'm sure they can because from prior experience in fast food/restaurant, the cost to replace an item is well below the charges. I'm so happy to see Quickly's open in Merced and as a student/boba lover, I'm definitely going to be coming here more often. They have a wide selection of drinks including regular teas, milk teas, slushies, and smoothies to choose from. All are very affordable and there are also various cup sizes with an option of getting a mason jar for $2 extra. Quickly's also offer snacks such as teriyaki bowls, takoyaki, and the staple at most places - popcorn chicken. What sets them apart from most tea places is their drink of the day (or week, I can't remember) given to you at a special price of $1.99. Today's was the Unicorn Milk Tea and I think this is a great way to advertise new drinks and get customers to familiarize and experiment with your menu. I've been here twice already, once when they first opened about a month ago and today. I got my same Jasmine Milk Tea w/ boba and was pleased to see that their drinks are consistent as mine tasted just as great as it did my first visit. I also tried their Taro Milk Tea and I have to say I'm shook because of how tasty it was. It wasn't powdery at all and you get a nice balance of taro flavor and milk. Quickly's drinks are not amazing compared to many other places that serve milk tea, but I personally enjoy their easy-on-the-wallet comfort foods. Hoping this location will offer the same drinks/foods as the other ones in the Bay Area! Update (1/17/17): They're missing certain dishes compared to the other locations, but have claimed that they will add them in the near future. The popcorn chicken here tastes just like how it is at the other locations I've been to--not saliva-inducing, but works well as a guilty snack. The bento plate is very affordable (roughly $7 for two sides of your choice, salad, rice, and terikyaki chicken), but after my first order of it, I would have to say it's not worth it. The salad is plain and comes with very little dressing. The rice is utterly subpar; my rice cooker makes better-tasting rice. Only the teriyaki chicken is of decent quality. Quickly's tea, once again, can be said to be mediocre when taking into account all the other top-tier boba shops over the Bay Area, but compared to the shops in Merced as of 2016, its drinks are near the top of the list. Mango Coconut Delight is my go-to when I have sugar cravings and Jasmine Milk Tea is a good one for starters. I'm hoping to see boba shops (and shops in general) that offer a tastier and wider variety open up in Merced in the future! read more

Really excited that Merced has a Quickly now! I have always enjoyed their large selection of drinks and food. What's better is that everything is fairly priced and affordable. As a college student with a budget I can find myself coming here often to have a nice lunch and satisfy my cravings for boba. The place is a bit tiny and not much seating to accommodate everyone during their busy days. I definitely recommend to try their crispy popcorn chicken and crispy octopus. Everything is made using powders. I got diarrhea for two days after drink it. the employees used a straw to test out my drink and put it back in. The teriyaki bowl I got had sooooo much rice in it. I've been waiting for Quickly's to open for so long and I can't tell you how excited I was to have a well-known boba spot open up in Merced (finally!!). This location is the cleanest and nicest looking Quickly's I've ever been to. They have the usual big, orange menu, but no orange walls, tables, or chairs. Instead, they have grey walls, wooden tables and a couch - more modern looking, haha. Drinks I've tried at this location so far: - Unicorn milk tea w/boba - Panda milk tea w/black and white boba - Rose tea w/strawberry stars (too sweet!) - Litchi milk tea w/boba - Jasmine milk tea w/egg pudding (the egg pudding tasted kind of funny and not as soft/smooth as it should be) Some of these drinks were only $1.99 because of their 'Daily Special', which is a good way to let people try different things on their menu. The panda milk tea is my favorite, it's described as jasmine milk tea with bubble milk tea, and black and white boba is included. (White boba is actually agar boba and not tapioca). I don't recommend the rose tea, it was extremely sweet and there are actual rose petals in it and it was a bit annoying to drink cause the rose petals would get stuck on my tongue. Litchi milk tea tasted like regular milk tea poured over pumps of litchi syrup - nothing special. But there are so many drink options on their menu, I'm sure everyone can find something they like eventually! The popcorn chicken is good - pretty consistent with other Quickly's that I've been to. They have a variety of sauces you can use and if you dine in, they give you a plate which is super convenient and less messy. They also give out stamp cards and after 9 stamps, you get $2.50 off a drink. Not your usual free drink reward but it's pretty close! All in all, super happy about this new establishment and my go-to spot for boba in Merced. read more

The menu at Quickly is intense!! They have over 100 items drinks+appetizers! This menu is listed so no pictures are shown expect certain ones that are photographed on the wall. This place is quite new and modern. Three different TV, K-POP music through out the store, board games, good atmosphere. Pricing is decent and all around offers good flavors as for drinks variety. They are quite busy during times bc it's near the UC so a lot of college students come by but the service is decent. Before Quickly, only one other Boba Shop was open and the wait times there was ridiculous. Parking is hectic at times---it's in a plaza so parking is limited at times. I've gotten their appetizers a few times it's not the best but decent enough to buy--I would have to say that every time I've order their fried appetizers it has been salty! In comparison to other Quickly shops, this one is actually really good. The wait time isn't too long and they have a lot of food and drink options as well as occasional specials that encourage you to come back. The staff are nice and there's usually tables. My freshman class went on a college tour at UC Merced not that long ago, and the service given to us within this boba shop was terrible. Despite seeing the long line of people, the workers have just decided to go at a slower pace just to piss the customers off. Not only that, workers would skip many orders and providing inconsistency and wasting precious time. For instance, when having order numbers at the 20s, they skipped all of those orders and served 47; who only had one drink. I do not recommend going to this facility when wanting something to eat/drink during a campus tour and you would just be wasting your time. read more
