In short: Not worth it. Consistently poor experience. Just go to Ding Tea. Long answer: I've been going to Quickly Boba since 2016 because they used to be the only boba shop in Carson, but I've finally had enough. No more. Some staff is shockingly bad, management seems to not care about customer experience at all, and the drinks are inconsistent. I'll now list all my complaints. In general, wait times are long, smoothies are not blended well, and boba is often still frozen. Management - Some of the choices they've made over the years make me think they kinda have disdain for customers, or at least don't care about the customer experience. Example #1: Years ago, someone stole a plant from their store. It was caught on video, and management decided to post flyers all over the store showing a screenshot of the thief with a lecture about respecting store property and threatening to take legal action. Yes, it's messed up that someone stole their plant. But these flyers made it a pretty uncomfortable environment for every other customer. Example #2: Since the start of the pandemic, they've had customers order outside the front door behind a plastic shield. It's now March 2023, and they still have the same setup. It's bad for several reasons. First, it's hard to communicate with the staff because it's right next to a noisy street. Second, it's outdoors with no cover from the sun/rain. Third, it's directly next to a busy street and a parking lot, with only 3 dirty chairs to sit. Staff - Example #1: Today, I went and ordered a Thai tea w/out boba. There were no customers there when I arrived, and no customers came after me, yet I waited over 15 minutes. I hate to bother staff, but finally I decided to ask how much longer it would take. The same guy who took my order came out to talk to me. He seemed confused, so I told him I've been waiting 15 minutes. He started looking at his iPad for a bit, then asked me what I ordered. I told him again, large Thai tea. Then he started looking at the iPad again. Then he asked if I ordered online. At this point, I was absolutely shocked. This is the same guy who took my order 15 minutes earlier. And there have been zero customers after me. Yet somehow he seemed to not remember at all. I told him "No, I ordered from you right here." Finally, another guy comes out with a Thai tea and apologized for the wait. I could tell he was annoyed by his oblivious coworker. SMH, this was wild. Example #2 - On more than one occasion, they've been out of Oreos, which are used to make many of the smoothies. Oreos are not hard to find, so I'm not sure why they have a hard time keeping them in stock, especially when it's an ingredient in so many of their items. Example #3 - I once ordered a white chocolate smoothie, but the drink I got tasted very much like coffee. I hate to send food back, but I don't really like coffee and caffeine makes me jittery, so I told them I think my drink is wrong. They tried to convince me it was correct, which I was not expecting. White chocolate and coffee are pretty distinctively different. Finally they begrudgingly made me a new drink, but they made me feel unnecessarily uncomfortable about it. read more

Can't beat the value of the Super Size drink (1 liter). I acquired the taste for their house milk tea and rarely get the Thai tea or taro because they are not the flavor or creamy texture I like. Sometimes I'll get the almond or honey almond if I'm in the mood for sweet or really sweet. For a while I switched to the crystal boba because the texture of the regular boba was off (firm in the middle, not chewy all the way through), but have stopped altogether because boba adds a lot of calories to the drink! My family enjoys their flavored teas and mint cookies smoothie. Their Five Stars reward program is cool, too. They used to text a lot of holiday and random offers, but not so much this summer (didn't hear from them on my birthday). If you don't have Five-Stars rewards to use, you can also get a discount with a Yelp check-in. The young staff are usually friendly and seem to enjoy their work, and rarely make mistakes. They are open during covid-19 and we can order from outside. Cashier will be inside and take the order(she was very kind). My drink taro milk tea tasted very rich.. which means i think they added too much powder however still good when it thins down after the ice melts and boba taste little blend (not sweet). Consistency is the key to great Boba. I enjoy coming here because it's local and excellent customer service and it's a hole in the wall. Its also cheaper than DingTea. I came and took pix of the menu cuz the ones on here are really blurry. I usually call ahead and pick it up on time. I'm in and out in no more than 5 min. Quickly Boba is a go to of mine because they have a plethora of selection, aside from being on a main st (coincidentally named Main St), lol. It's easy to access and they are quick with prepping your order. They also have FiveStars, which is a program in which you enter your phone number and you accumulate points towards rewards (free drinks). That in itself motivates you more to go and get a refreshing drink. They have three sizes to choose from and you can select your sweetness level as well. The only thing I would advise is to not go around 3ish as that is the time the kiddos get out from the local high school and they love Quickly Boba too, lol. It gets busy around that time. The only reason I will return to this place is if they have some type of buy one, get one deal. On my most recent visit I forgot my stamp card and asked to start a new one. The guy said they ran out.. and that was it. No offer to stamp my receipt so I can combine the stamps with my other stamp card(s). Just... "oh.. we ran out." If you're trying to build a loyal fan-base... you gotta work with your customers. This is why I took off the 1-star. That aside, milk tea quality is the same. Since I only ordered 2 regular milk teas I didn't wait even 3 minutes since it was pretty much: cup, boba, ice, pour milk tea, seal with lid & repeat. Other than my most recent visit, service is Ok. Message to the owners: I understand this is a family business, but don't let your older family members (ie older men) hang around the front. It's creepy and slightly discouraging for us female customers. Especially when they just STARE REALLY HARD at anyone who pulls into the plaza, parks and MIGHT walk into your business. My friend said it best. Quickly is like the McDonald's of boba shops. Not necessarily the highest quality, but definitely reliable and consistent. I like that they have so many varieties of flavors including almond, fruits, and florals such as rose and lavender. Their milk teas are reliable. They have both regular sized and mini boba. I always prefer the regular sized boba, because you get more of the chewiness with it. Their egg pudding is also pretty good. They let you adjust the sweetness, which I love. I also like how they have daily specials-- there's some buy-one-get-one-free days for certain drinks. One of my complaints is that sometimes they are understaffed on popular nights, such as Friday nights, so that it takes a while for them to make your drinks. The other complaint is that I wish they had snacks commonly found at Taiwanese boba shops, such as popcorn chicken. Other than that, they have good drinks, ranging from milk based, tea based, slushies, and smoothies. read more

Their boba is okay. I tend to go during the weekends for their buy one get one half off milk teas. They offer mini boba but I would suggest getting it mixed with regular size. They offer yakult slush and that was delicious. I've also tried their avocado smoothie and lychee slush and both were good as well. I wasn't a fan of their flavored teas. On another note, their service still needs a lot of work. Every time I go, it's the same lady and she's usually slow and looks like she doesn't want to be there. They also don't have the initiative to ask you about stamp cards so you have to ask them. Overall, it's just a regular boba spot, nothing fancy.
