Lourie from L&K Appliance Repair was the first to contact me directly and, even though it was a Sunday morning, she asked me to call her to talk through the likely issues, rather than just scheduling a Service call. Lourie was extremely knowledgeable and, upon answering a few of her questions, we came to the conclusion that the repair would cost more than replacing the washer itself. It's increasingly rare to find a company that is willing to put customer service ahead of profit and help someone avoid throwing good money after bad. I would highly recommend Lourie and L&K Appliance Repair to anyone, and we will certainly be using them the next time we have, any type of appliance issue.

Found L&K on yelp and tried calling, even though I didn't expect an answer after hours. But Lori answered and said she was in my area and said she'd swing by. I explained the problem, she said what she thought it probably was on the phone and said it's an easy fix. When she got here, she took a look, found the problem right away, put in a temporary fix so the machine would work for me, and said she would get the part it needed ordered and meet me back here after our trip. Her quote was very affordable. I was so happy that she was willing to just swing by and help me out so that I could get back to the pre-packing laundry that was so needed. I don't feel like most people these days are willing to just help a stranger out like she did, especially after business hours, but she was great!

I called and spoke to the owner, HE GAVE ME NO EXCUSES OR EXPLANATION, SAID "LETS GET THAT TAKEN CARE OF", AND LUCKILY HAD A TIME THE NEXT DAY THAT WORKED FOR HIM TO COME OUT AND FINISH THE JOB. -The only two reasons they did not get a 5 star was forgetting the return vent in the first place. However, as i explained they were Amazing on warrantying their work, admitting the mistake, and fast to respond with a fix. -The second reason is that when they installed some vent covers they didn't install the screws nicely, i know sometimes its hard to get them to stick properly especially in older homes, but at that point you put some calk in the hole let it sit a while or while you are cleaning the vent and then the screw will hold fast. Also, they didn't put some of the covers in the way they came out, sounds like nothing but the hot air vent ended up blowing in my face all the next night instead of at my feet. I flipped the vents back to original positioning and all was fine. -Just a few little things i didn't like, but i would entirely recommend them to any friends and family. Also, the immediate response and acceptance of responsibility for forgetting a vent was much appreciated. If it were possibly i would give them a 4.5 out of 5, and i will definitely be using them 4-5 years down the line when i need my vents cleaned again.

Consumer beware... this company serviced our furnace in the attic and right after they left…read more(unknown to us) the furnace started leaking as the condensation pipe they had blown on during their 'tune up' they unfortunately jarred apart and it started to slow leak condensation into our walls!! We gave them a fair chance to take responsibility for this before posting a bad review by sending an email and certified letter to them with repair invoices (costs we incurred) and photos of the flood damage asking for reimbursement (under 3k), but they took zero responsibility. Despite being the last ones to touch the pipe they sent me a lengthy email back blaming the people that installed the furnace five years prior when the house was built, claiming it was installed incorrectly! Can you imagine?! Mind you these people have serviced our furnace the last three years and never once mentioned a faulty installation as part of their duty to let us know if something with our furnace wasn't right!!! I would absolutely not use this company unless you're willing to have your house flooded due to their negligence and then get stuck with the bill ontop of the stress of your brand new home being damaged. They came and replaced a fuse for $300, but they warned her that the unit was original with the 30-year home and it was on its last legs. It surely would break over the hot summer and would need to be completely replaced at $8 to $9k if she agreed to do it right now. Or, if she waited, she was told that it would cost more this summer. I was on the phone and heard the salesman say this. I told her to first get a second opinion because this just sounded too much like a pressure job on a single 20-something female. We had another local company come that same day and they inspected the system. They told my daughter that the system was only 6 or 7 years old--not 30--and showed her the proof. It has plenty of life ahead, completely contradicting Larsen's technician. This second company did not charge my daughter a penny to come out and said they wouldn't give her a quote because she did not need a new unit. I am so glad my daughter got a second opinion. Now I am wondering if my other two units really needed their systems replaced. Larsen has lost my trust and I won't use them again. I will not recommend them and have found a new heating/ac company I will use in the future. Honesty counts. I asked for a response from the owner and he has not written me back. From the start, this company has been a nightmare to deal with. They repeatedly canceled appointments at the last minute, often with no explanation or warning. Each time I tried to reschedule, I was either pushed out weeks or given vague time windows that were also later canceled. There's only one technician, and it's clear they're overwhelmed, but that still doesn't justify how rude and unprofessional the phone staff are. When I expressed my understandable frustration over yet another cancellation, they actually told me I was "not being respectful." Really? What happened to listening to your customers and understanding their point of view? It's clear they don't care about their customers at all--no accountability, no apology, just defensiveness and attitude. I later checked their reviews (wish I had done it sooner) and saw nothing but 1-star ratings. It's honestly no surprise. If you value your time, your money, and basic respect, avoid Bill's Appliance Service at all costs.

As one of only two LG certified repair shops locally, it was good to see the caliber of people at Bill's in case I need to use them again. They had an appointment available in a reasonable time and we were called when Dakota was coming. It was right near the start time they had quoted me.
