We gave them a fair chance to take responsibility for this before posting a bad review by sending an email and certified letter to them with repair invoices (costs we incurred) and photos of the flood damage asking for reimbursement (under 3k), but they took zero responsibility. Despite being the last ones to touch the pipe they sent me a lengthy email back blaming the people that installed the furnace five years prior when the house was built, claiming it was installed incorrectly! Can you imagine?! Mind you these people have serviced our furnace the last three years and never once mentioned a faulty installation as part of their duty to let us know if something with our furnace wasn't right!!! I would absolutely not use this company unless you're willing to have your house flooded due to their negligence and then get stuck with the bill ontop of the stress of your brand new home being damaged. They came and replaced a fuse for $300, but they warned her that the unit was original with the 30-year home and it was on its last legs. It surely would break over the hot summer and would need to be completely replaced at $8 to $9k if she agreed to do it right now. Or, if she waited, she was told that it would cost more this summer. I was on the phone and heard the salesman say this. I told her to first get a second opinion because this just sounded too much like a pressure job on a single 20-something female. We had another local company come that same day and they inspected the system. They told my daughter that the system was only 6 or 7 years old--not 30--and showed her the proof. It has plenty of life ahead, completely contradicting Larsen's technician. This second company did not charge my daughter a penny to come out and said they wouldn't give her a quote because she did not need a new unit. I am so glad my daughter got a second opinion. Now I am wondering if my other two units really needed their systems replaced. Larsen has lost my trust and I won't use them again. I will not recommend them and have found a new heating/ac company I will use in the future. Honesty counts. I asked for a response from the owner and he has not written me back. Each time I tried to reschedule, I was either pushed out weeks or given vague time windows that were also later canceled. There's only one technician, and it's clear they're overwhelmed, but that still doesn't justify how rude and unprofessional the phone staff are. When I expressed my understandable frustration over yet another cancellation, they actually told me I was "not being respectful." Really? What happened to listening to your customers and understanding their point of view? It's clear they don't care about their customers at all--no accountability, no apology, just defensiveness and attitude. I later checked their reviews (wish I had done it sooner) and saw nothing but 1-star ratings. It's honestly no surprise. If you value your time, your money, and basic respect, avoid Bill's Appliance Service at all costs.

It took them two full weeks just to get back to me after I inquired about renting a washer and dryer. Then out of nowhere, I received a random text asking if I was still interested--no apology, no explanation. We scheduled a delivery, which was then rescheduled because of the stairs in my townhome. That part was understandable. They said they'd come on another day when someone named Liston had help from his 15-year-old brother--which already seemed unprofessional. When they finally showed up, they dropped the washer in my hallway--right against an interior wall where my TV was mounted on the other side. The impact caused my TV to fall and break completely. I immediately asked for their insurance information, only to be told they don't have any coverage. When I requested they cover the cost of the damage they caused, they refused. In the end, they didn't even leave the washer and dryer--so they came into my home, broke my property, refused accountability, and left me with nothing. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company. They are careless, uninsured, and take no responsibility for the damage they cause. This is the kind of business that gives Utah service providers a bad name.
