I visited this place with a friend and we ordered one Ragda Patties and one golgapa or pani Puri. The service was quick but I honestly wasn't impressed with the food much. The pani Puri was mostly broken and leaked whenever we filled them. The pani was quite normal, you will primarily taste only jaljeera in it and it wasn't interesting. I'm a bit unsure as to if there was an option for getting different variety of pani. The description mentioned something like garlic sauce, but I didn't see it in my plate. Finally, I was a bit disappointed with the Ragda patty because most of the times I've had that in India or anywhere I've got at least 2 Patties with Ragda. Here, not only it served just one patty but that seemed to be too small. The taste was just ok, the Ragda was a bit warm but the patty was not warm at all. I'll be a bit conscious of ordering stuff from here.

This is food truck in Sunnyvale next to Lawrence Expressway. I think their samosas are the best I have had in the bay area. Samosas are served with a tamarind chutney which was very yummy and enhances the taste of the samosa. Unlike at most other places, the masala inside their samosa is much more flavorful and not too bland. Their aloo tikki chaat was yummy too with really balanced flavors of khatta meetha ( sour and sweet). Parking can be big hassle here but if you somehow find one, this truck is totally worth .

Amazing awesome yummy chaat with all the flavors- reminded me of the dahi puri and sev puri I used to eat in Mumbai. We tried the Frankie, dahi puri and samosa chaat. All were amazing. Our four year old wanted water and we didn't have any and the owner gave her a shake on the house. Friendly service and amazing food! If you are missing India or just want to eat chaat, come here. Highly recommend. PS- you can ask them to make the chaat based on the spice level of your liking.

I drove to the temple in Palo Alto to visit my grandpa (his picture is there) and decided to get gas on my way back. Had no idea there was a food truck meet up here. I was determined to stop by after Costco. I was excited to see momos on the menu. That was the first truck I saw. I didn't eat it the same day. These tasted great, still. I microwaved them but if I wasn't super lazy, steaming them for a few minutes would do the trick. The chicken momos were succulent. The chicken chili momos were earthy and had some heat to it. The chili sauce it came w/ elevated the heat, it was spicy but super tolerable. Accepts cards. Service was friendly. Will be back!

Are we really at a point where people are just so accustomed to average food such that mediocre eateries are terrific to them? I came across this food truck at an Off the Grid event. I actually was excited to try this food truck as the photos on their Yelp page looked good... first mistake. The photos are incredibly outdated as this truck no longer serve mac and cheese nor collard greens, which are two dishes that I enjoy. Even their main fried chicken and waffle menu has gone from about ten items down to five. Nevertheless, I decided to get a fried chicken and waffle sandwich and ordered the Spicy and I Know It. It was honestly the saddest sandwich I have ever seen. The waffle was barely the same quality as what you would get at the continental breakfast served at your local inn. The cheese was sliced processed cheese that you get at Safeway and the fried chicken was worse than what you get at KFC. The cherry on top was that the maple syrup that they gave you with the waffles was a packaged condiment like what you would get at a fast food joint. I am truly shocked at the almost perfect score of this truck. Whether I give a place a perfect or a mediocre rating, I still somewhat understand the overall rating but in the case, I am truly lost.

Yelp said this place is open till midnight but I wasn't taking any chances driving from Hayward, so I called their number and they confirmed that they are open till midnight, all days! The truck is parked on a 7-11 parking lot on S. Abbot. They have two tables and 4 chairs for people wanting to sit there and eat. We ordered an Achari chaap ( soya protein) and a Rumali roti for my husband. For myself I got their tandoori chicken which came with 2 drumsticks and two thighs. The chicken itself was juicy and definitely well marinated. The achari chaap was a bit tangy for my husband's liking but had great taste and flavor if you ask me. The Rumali roti was soft and fresh. We also had chai which was creamy and hot! Food came out quite fast even though they had said it would take 15 mins. A couple things that stood out were the portions, which were plentiful and the prices which are very reasonable. Sunny the person at the window was super nice and patient taking our order and didn't mind husband and I going back and forth over what we wanted to eat. However, we were told that bhaturas (and anything fried) aren't available after 10 PM, which was really disappointing. We were instead offered chole kulche, and since we didn't have many late-night options, we agreed. We were told the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes, but when we arrived, the food already felt cold, like it had been sitting out for a while. It got worse when we reached home--the kulchas were burnt, making the meal quite unpleasant. After a long day of travel, this was the last thing we expected. We were too tired to go back, but honestly, this was not acceptable. If you're advertising late hours, the quality and availability should match. This experience was really disappointing.

The chinese bhel was okay, but didn't have much flavor. Lastly the ragda pattice had so much potential. The flavor was there, but it was insanely spicy- even as someone with a med/high spice tolerance. You could feel the burn traveling down to your stomach. Yesterday, I ordered a Vada Pav, Shalimar Egg Mughlai (on their recommendation from their list of egg dishes), and a Veg Frankie -- and honestly, none of it lived up to the hype(5 stars currently) or price point. Vada Pav: It was okay. The "mirchi" served alongside was literally a raw Thai green chili. Really? At least pan-fry it with some salt and oil to enhance the flavor. For over $10 with taxes, this was already pricier than better Vada Pavs you can get at places like Elco Drive, and yet it offered nothing exceptional. Frankie: This one made me genuinely angry. It was a soggy maida roll stuffed with the same aloo masala from the Vada Pav, plus a few sad shreds of cabbage. That's it. And they had the audacity to charge $12 for it. ($1.50 for cheese, lol I am glad we didn't add)This isn't a Frankie -- it's a lazy repackaged Vada Pav with no flavor or creativity. They threw in some pickled jalapeños on the side, which only added confusion. If you're running a fusion menu(well partially), at least mention it upfront instead of misleading customers. Egg Shalimar Mughlai: At $13, it was passable but still not impressive. The bun on the side was not toasted or anything. Better than the Frankie, but nothing I'd recommend or return for. I was so excited for trying this place but, overall, this place is overpriced, underwhelming, and frankly disappointing. If your Vada Pav and Frankie are practically identical, maybe inform customers before they order both. I wouldn't recommend Maya Kitchen -- save your time, appetite and money and go somewhere else.
