Had the pleasure of visiting another Quest for the vampire sacrifice! What I did like about today's visit was that it was empty for a late afternoon appointment and got it the same day. Unfortunately I got bit 2 times today for whatever reason they couldn't find blood. Also felt my hematologist could've been a little more animated as opposed to being a zombie today on top of her apparently letting the less experienced person try to draw blood for me. I have come across good hematologists in the past at other Quest unfortunately though not here, won't return. read more

Woe is I for being diabetic and having to get blood drawn on a regular basis. Quest is one of the largest lab operations in the country, and most of my experiences have been OK, even in this particular location. However, there was one occasion here when they couldn't find a doctor's order, so I left and went back home only to find out that the dude looking things up really didn't know what he was doing. (They called me back and said "Our bad," without seeming to give a rat's furry behind about my time and travel.) More recently, the phlebotomist drew my blood and wished me a wonderful day. The next day, I was informed that my blood "coagulated" and that I would need to return for another draw. I call bull. Though I went back and let them draw again, which was also a painless experience, I let them know that blood doesn't just coagulate in a vile. Not mine at least. (It didn't "coagulate on the second draw.) The truth is, someone mislabeled or mishandled my lab specimens. Why not just admit the mistake? There are other Quest locations around here, and I have and will continue to avoid this one. read more

Quest is not safe for blood draws anymore, try Labcorp instead. The phlebotomist that took my blood today touched my vein with her very unsanitary finger right before inserting the needle. Making sure to insert every germ she's come across into that vein. The point of cleaning the site with alcohol is to disinfect, so why would you re-infect it by touching it again right before insertion? Patient safety is not their #1 concern here, please go somewhere else. read more

Worst lab ever. No receptionist; electronic check-in that works in other Quest labs fails here. QR code they insist you use does not work. Have to pound on the inner door to get someone to come out. Filthy waiting room, plus last time I had to walk around the homeless sleeping in the doorway. Multiple people waiting well over an hour past appointment time. Once you do get the blood drawn, 2 weeks or more to get result. Find another location or a whole different company. read more

This is the worst QUEST! Do NOT COME HERE! They have you check in on a computer and then your name gets dropped and then they tell you to check in again. The staff is NOT helpful at all. People have been sitting here waiting for almost 2 hours and when we say anything to the staff all they tell you is to keep checking in. This place is a MESS! read more

This place is a joke. I was there for 15 minutes, no one ever showed up at the front desk. The only option was to self check-in. Put my info into the self check-in and my appointment could not be found. Attempted the scan code, my info and even the appointment code, nothing worked. Since there is no one at the front desk, could not address the problem with anyone. Definitely looking for another option next time. read more

Always clean and quick, even when I don't have an appointment. You go in and sign up on the iPad and if you made an appointment online enter your code, otherwise just enter your info. Then you sit and wait. The longest I've ever had to wait is 15 minutes or so, and that was without an appointment. The workers have always been super friendly and are really good at blood draws (all I've had done there), so I appreciate that! I love that it's right down the road from my house and super easy to get in and out. They also have your name on a board that shows your wait time so that's nice as well. I really don't like having blood drawn, but sometimes it's necessary and sometimes you do it because it's the right thing to do (like for a blood drive). So when you can go somewhere that can make it quick, easy, and pretty much painless, with minimal bruising, then yes that makes me a fan! read more

I've been to 3 Quest locations so far and this one definitely had the largest waiting area (great for social distancing) and plenty of parking. I made an appointment ahead of time and used the link Quest texted me to sign in on my phone once I had arrived. I went around 3pm on a Wednesday and was the only person in the waiting room. On this visit, I was picking up items for a 24hr test and the technician explained what I needed to do and answered any questions I had. the techs are rude and cut people in front of others. Seems like if you complain enough, they will call you in front of others. it happened to me, and when I complained, the tech called Jeniffer in the San Carlos location "missed" my vein. she placed the torniquete way to loose (I am a RN) and smiling said that we had to try again. Their iPads weren't working and there was no one at the front desk to manage check-ins. So some ppl checked in on paper and some on the iPads. They couldn't figure out what order to go in. They weren't very friendly either. The estimated wait time for walk-ins was 5 minutes when I checked online before coming. We ended up waiting 25 minutes with ppl going out of order. Easy appointment set up online. They have I pads for quick check in at the window. This is a nice clean location. It's we'll run and I only had to wait 5 mins to get my blood work done. The staff was friendly and professional. The facility is clean and my only complaint was the loud tv in the waiting area. There is plenty of parking and plenty of seating though. Horrible service. Got there before 8am with an appt. for wellness check blood draw. Called back 20 minute later to room 2. First, Claudia said I would owe money which I know I don't since have met our deductible for the year. Second, when she stuck me in my right arm, she missed and upon trying to correct jabbed me in my right bicep causing me to wince and cry out in pain. No apologies; just asked for my left arm??? Success there, bandaide on both arms and released. On the drive to work, my bandaide came loose and I was bleeding all over. Ugh! Never going back! read more

No one really likes to go get their blood drawn or have other medical tests but I always have had a good experience here. Folks are friendly who draw the blood and they are very good at what they do. With 40-50 sticks a day, they either at good or they go find something else. Best advice: make an appointment online. When you do that, you are in and out in 5-10 minutes. Otherwise, the wait can be at least 30-40 minutes. read more

I'm not sure why quest employees have such a bad attitude all the time. I was close to this location and stopped in. There was no place to sit with the distancing. So I chive the txt option. The lady was rude signing in to a guy without a mask on I left and waited for the txt and shipped next door then looked to see if there was a seat. You don't get to speak to a person when you make an appointment and you don't get to speak to a person when you show up to check in. You better hope the iPad checks you in correctly because there is no way to tell if you're actually signed in. When I finally can stop someone to ask where I am on the list, I am not actually on the list even though I made an appointment and checked in on the iPad. Then turns out they can't find my paperwork but of course there's no one at the front desk to check when you arrive so you have to wait just to check that too. So I fasted for 14 hours now and wasted my whole day just for them to tell me they don't have my paperwork. I am beyond pissed. read more

I rarely write reviews of places other than restaurants, and so this is not balanced. That is, I'm only reviewing them because they are so bad. Also, I'm not sure how they stack up related to other diagnostic labs. Reason 1: I've gone to Quest centers in Webster near the hospital (closed now), Nassau Bay (closed now), on Space Center Blvd. and now this one. As you can tell I get a lot of blood tests. With the exception of a brief period, because of an exceptional blood draw worker at Nassau Bay, every time I go to Quest I go home with a hematoma (a black & blue swollen area where they inserted the needle and it bleeds under the skin -- see pictures). I'm not sure why this is since I can't remember getting one in the hospital where they wake you way too early to draw blood every morning and I've probably had 100+ blood draws in hospitals. There's a psychological learning concept called "Knowledge of Results." When a person can see the result of an action, they learn to do it better. Imagine you shot a basketball at the hoop but never saw what happened after the ball left your hand. You might never learn to hit the basket. Maybe the Quest phlebotomists (fancy name for a blood draw person) have never worked in a setting where they see the hematomas. They draw each patron's blood and s/he immediately leaves. Whatever the reason they almost always leave me with ugly hematomas that take a week or two to clear up. Reason 2: The following has been a consistent pattern since they began providing for reservations. I always make a reservation, which is supposed to mean I only have to wait until the next phlebotomist is free. The last time I went I was there 2 minutes before my appointment. When I arrived I was the only person in the waiting room. I waited 30 or so minutes while at least 4 and maybe 5 people who came in after me were served. In the past I asked why this is, and I got the answer, "Maybe those people had earlier appointments." To which I said, "So the best thing for me to do is show up an hour later than my appointment time." Answer: "No you would have missed your appointment." Gee I do not believe 4 or 5 people had earlier appointments and arrived late, but even if it was so, I should be taken first because I was there at the appointed time. This becomes only my fifth one star rating of 184 reviews! Next visit -- May 11th, 2017: Again, I had one of their pointless appointments. I arrived 10 minutes before the time. I watched while numerous people who arrived after me and had no appointment were taken, finished and left. Again, I asked why this was happening. This time the answer given was, "You are assigned to Marybeth [made up name] and she isn't available." SAY, WHAT? Well then assign me to someone who is available. "We can't do that." And again, I left with a hematoma -- see picture. read more

Today I came to complete blood work and a urinalysis ordered by my physicians office. Where they originally ordered didn't work here but Brittani went out of her way & helped me figure out what I needed to do! After calling the Physicians office & getting the order transferred I came back in and signed in & called back by Aurora? (I know her name started with an A and she wears glasses and I feel awful for not remembering because she was awesome! Her stick was quick and painless she got the panels done before my anxiety could set in! Kudos to Brittani and her that I interacted with today & all their help! This place looks like a war zone. So mis mismanaged. My paper wait was sent here three times. To be told blood work costs $1600. My doc set it up on his account to save me money. Now it should be around $200. I made an appointment. They don't know what that means. I have literally spent hours here and hopefully will get my blood work done today. They refused to call my doctors off or be of any help. This has been a miserable experience. Three tries to get blood work done ridiculous. read more

Probably the NICEST PEOPLE I have met since my move to Texas! I had 4 different places where the blood was drawn, and DID NOT feel anything when the needles were inserted. Staff was very rude and refused to answer my question about which tube went with which drop off sample for my babys tests. 45 minute wait just to pick up a tube and it would have been longer had I not flagged someone down. They have no one working the front desk and use an automated system that prioritizes appt over a quick pick up. It could have taken all day as appts keep rolling in. Never again! read more

I feel I was not treated professionally at all. The lady drawing my blood didn't even introduce herself. Wore gloves to call me from waiting room and typing in my information. I'm not sure if they were clean or dirty. I asked her to change her gloves before drawing my blood. Her response was that's what I'm going to do. Not friendly at all. I've had a lot of lab work done and usually I'm warned before I'm stuck, she didn't even warn me. I felt she was rough. I will ask my doctor to send me to a different lab in the future. Also, no one greets you when you walk in. You read signs and register on an iPad. No idea of how long your wait may be. read more

If you can avoid going to Quest Diagnostics I highly advise you do so!! They sent my bill to collections without properly notifying me beforehand and when I contacted them the response I got was completely unreasonable and down right rude. I had no idea I even still had a balance and according to the collections agency they had my address incorrect. This was not my fault and yet they made NO effort to contact me about it. No call (which obviously they had the right phone number because the collection agency called me), no email... nothing. read more

Yay for this new location! I absolutely love it! So modern and very clean. Jessica assisted me and she was amazing!!! This woman knows her veins! I highly recommend her if you are a hard stick. My husband just went there and the experience was horrible. He had a very bad experience with needles in the past but that is besides the point. It seemed that his phlebotomist was in a rush(very few ppl in the waiting room). I understand it's your job but show a little empathy even if you dont understand. This is the medical field, it should be expected that some ppl will need more time than others. Show some compassion. I'll be honest, I rarely use Quest anymore because of bad experiences at different locations, but the staff at this one deserve a raise and five stars.
