I am not a big fan of blood being drawn. I came here out of necessity and a closer location completely booked on appointments. I do recommend you get an appointment because it gets you in and out. I was called close to my scheduled time however I was told to go to another room because apparently a lady who I assume was a walk in had a problem with me going before her. She screamed out loud to the hematologist "I have been waiting!!" "Why is he going before me?" LOL I felt awkward about this and let it be. So I waited around 10 minutes and the hematologist called me in for that blood draw. Unfortunately she did not know how to draw blood because I got stuck 2 times with no blood drawn. She had to get a more experienced person and he was able to get it done on the first try. Thank goodness for him. Sadly I do not recommend coming here and I will definitely not be back here in the future. read more

If you must give blood you need to come here. They have the best vampires that will not use you as a pin cushion. I am a very difficult pic. The 1st vampire didn't even try to draw any blood. It was too difficult. She got a Danielle who must be the chief vampire because she got 3 tubes with only 1 pic. Yeah, if must give blood I wouldn't go anywhere else. Face covering is required and you can wait in their very clean waiting room or in your vehicle. It was quick and I made an online appointment. Now to go eat a dozen donuts!!! read more

I have never had to use Quest until my son needed blood work. Unaware that it is best to make an appointment, we showed up on a Saturday at 11 AM (one hour before it closes). The employees are very unprofessional in the way the approach informing the people in the waiting room that appointments are priority and waiting list might not be seen. How is just said it in the previous sentence is the proper way to inform instead of the way we were informed. We we rudely told "I hope yall are all appointments because we close in a hour and we will no see anyone after 12, we dont get overtime, I don't work for free, they dont put in on my check". When we would ask questions she would interrupt and overtalk everyone. This is the 1919 N Loop W Suite 125, Houston, TX 77008 location. Horrible customer service and needs training. read more

I'm going to give 3 stars only because today's experience was bad enough to bring it from the 5 I would have always rated it in the past. Unfortunately, I haven't ever written a review in the past but I have always had great people help me BUT today was an entirely different story. I took my 12 yr old son in for his first blood drawing experience and I honestly don't know if it could have been more awful. This guy calls him back and I said "how are you?" as we walked through the door and got some kind of bare minimum response from him and then we get to the room, my son is clearly freaking out a little, so I'm telling him it's going to be fine just take some deep breaths, mind you still no interaction with us at all as he slams around and looks frustrated. After he got all his stuff together he asks my son which arm he wanted to use and I tell him this is his first time if he could try to walk him through it, my son was getting pale at this point and says to the guy, I could use some words of encouragement........CRICKETS.....wow. So I tell the little man its gonna be fine, he takes the blood and my son gets super pale and all slurry, says he can't see and zero response, just shoves a alcohol pad in his face, tells my son to hold it and basically acted like he didn't care, I'm guessing he wasn't acting though. I don't know that I could have hand picked a worse person for his first experience. read more

This quest location is the best I've found so far. It's a little out of the way but it's miles apart from any other location I've been to. There was about 6 people in the waiting room when we arrived, it took them about five to seven mins to make their way through the people waiting. The phlebotomist my aunt got was great nice, friendly and got my aunt in one poke which is always great. I also let the girl do my blood work. I showed her where they normally find mine and she felt for 2 seconds and got it 1st poke. Great quest would recommend to anyone. read more

This was the first time we used this center, though we have used Quest Diagnostics before elsewhere in Houston. The staff at this center was rather unprofessional, which relates to our primary issues. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk, so my significant other signed in. As she finished signing in, someone opened the door and looked at the sign in sheet. My SO sat down because we were unsure of what they wanted us to do and then the lady just said "You can come back" without actually greeting us. After she got my SO back there and ready to draw blood, they looked at the paperwork from the doctor and said there was an issue because the code from the doctor's paperwork didn't match the code in their office computer for the requested tests. The woman called the doctor's office and eventually had another employee come and speak with her. For twenty minutes, my SO waited for them to figure it out, just to overhear the second employee explain to the first that the codes had been changed and she was wrong--the doctor's office paperwork was correct. After this, the two began discussing how her doctor's office didn't know what they were doing. Her blood draw didn't hurt more than usual, but it bled much more than normal and bruised severely, which has never happened before. She gets blood drawn regularly for testing for a medication she takes, and she has never had such a dark and massive bruise on her arm before. Once the blood draw was complete, they gave her three days' worth of multiple tests to take home and do but only gave her verbal instructions; she has no paperwork about the tests and has to hope that she understood everything correctly and remembers what to do. They also gave her the tests in a clear, plastic bag that was in no way discreet and allowed anyone in the waiting room to see the tests she was leaving with. Overall, the center was clean; the rooms looked sterile and they used gloves and items appropriately. However, she did see a sharps container next to the chair where she had to sit for testing that contained used sharps as well as the plastic tubes for drawing blood; the lid was open so the sharps would have been accessible if someone had been moving around. This was a disappointing visit for us despite our experiences with Quest Diagnostics and we do not intend to use this particular center again. read more

I made an appointment, arrived on time, to find six people on the posted waiting list. I scanned the code for received when I made the appointment-my name went to the top of the list and I was called back almost immediately. Friendly, professional, competent staff! Definitely recommend - but make an appointment ! read more

Awesome staff! I found the Ipad check-in process extremely easy and quick but did hear older patients complaining about the technology. I made an appointment the night before and felt like I was in the office only about 20/30 minutes total. read more

I had to have a lot of lab work done and was happy to find this location real close to home. The phlebotomist had a difficult time getting their system to verify my insurance but finally got it done. What I really like is the iPad check in system, so simple. The facility was clean and the staff were professional. My phlebotomist had to draw 16 vials on me - a record for both of us! She got blood with one stick that went in smoothly and I didn't even feel it. read more

If you can avoid going to Quest Diagnostics I highly advise you do so!! They sent my bill to collections without properly notifying me beforehand and when I contacted them the response I got was completely unreasonable and down right rude. I had no idea I even still had a balance and according to the collections agency they had my address incorrect. This was not my fault and yet they made NO effort to contact me about it. No call (which obviously they had the right phone number because the collection agency called me), no email... nothing. read more

Christina is the best at getting blood out of me. She never misses and it's practically painless. If you're a person who's hard to stick, see Christina. read more

Very friendly staff, Ken opened the door to the exam rooms with a smile on his face and positive communication between he and I. Maybe a 2 minute wait, not long at all. Ken knew what he was doing, very professional. read more

The first time I got lab work done here my phlebotomist was very professional. However, I got lab work done today and the person drawing my blood was picking at her fingernails and at one point stuck her finger in her mouth and chewed on her finger nail. Then without washing hands/using hand sanitizer she took my blood. I was completely horrified. read more
