This is a great location and hours 6am to 3pm , the staff is super with a quick, pain free stick for bloodwork and gentle nature . The check in is simple at a kiosk . The appointments were on time the day and time I arrived . My only hesitation for five stars is the parking lot has zero lighting for 6am appointments and I am ok with that but it would be much safer for elderly clients to be able to see where they are walking! I've been to three Quest labs in Vero beach, Palm Beach Gardens for blood draws. All three times resulted in employees not being able to draw blood tried over and over got someone else to help. And all three resulted in large hemotomas and also large brusings. Employees not friendly and don't seem to be trained well. read more

I had blood work done by Alexa at the Quest facility in Vero Beach. I cannot say enough about the high level of expertise she displayed when drawing my blood. I have had so many bad experiences in the past regarding difficulty finding my vein. Only one arm can be used for this procedure. On March 6 2023 I had blood drawn at quest diagnostic off 60 E in Vero beach. The phlebotomist there were rude, disrespectful and totally lacking of social skills. They don't where their name tags and have a very intimidating affect. Before turning me over to the other pleb she told me to sit up like a big girl. I am 71 yrs old. When I first moved to Vero Beach in 2011, I used Labcorp for all my lab work and was extremely satisfied. However, several years ago, Labcorp shut down their offices next to IRMC and I have been using Quest Diagnostics. From day one, I noticed a big difference in the quality of service and the cleanliness of the facility. Quest Diagnostics, way before the COVID pandemic occurred, was not as clean, the employees were not as professional and the general atmosphere was of a lower quality than I had been used to. Recently, I visited Quest to pick up a lab kit for an internal illness that had been plaguing me for several months. Check in is via computer and since I was there for a pickup, rather than a procedure, the wait time was about 15 minutes - still a bit long for what I was there for, but acceptable - in Vero Beach. WhenI returned two days later to drop off the specimens, I signed in as usual and elected to wait outside rather than sit inside a crowded, potentially unhealthy waiting room. After about 20 minutes, I received a text that my appointment was ready and I returned to the facility. Upon entering, there was no one sitting at the three desks inside the reception area. So, I took a seat and began to wait. After 15 minutes, having seen other patients enter, register, get treatment and leave, I approached the reception window and asked one of the staff if I could just drop off the specimen rather than wait further. She asked me my name and when I gave it to her, she said, "we called you earlier, where were you?" I told her I had opted to wait outside in my car, had gotten the text and had returned when I was notified, to find no one manning the desks to be made known that I had returned. She looked a bit skeptical and told me to have a seat and someone would be with me shortly. After an additional 15 minutes, with everyone in the waiting room having been seen except me, I again approached the window, only to find no one sitting at the desks. I continued to stand there for five more minutes until, finally, an an employee came into the office. I asked her if I could drop off my specimen, that I had been patiently waiting for over 45 minutes and I was getting a bit tired of waiting. She took my specimen and asked me to come to window 2. After apologizing for the long wait, she asked me for my insurance cards. I informed her that when I picked up the specimen kit, I had been asked to produce my cards - and told her there had been no change in 2 days, nor had there been any change in the last 10 years. She indicated that the staff member on the previous visit had not "saved" the documents. What a joke? I was asked to sign a form stipulating that I had dropped off the specimen and I left the facility. This was not a good visit. It was a total waste of my time and proved once again that Quest Diagnostics has the absolute worst record of procedures among the many labs I've visited throughout Florida. While I was waiting, I overheard one of the employees tell a patient that the long waiting time was due to COVID-19. What a joke! The long waiting time is not a product of the pandemic but a product of the lousy business practices in place at Quest Diagnostics and the absolute incompetence of the Quest staff. At this facility, there are minimal efforts made to safeguard patients from the pandemic. Chairs are spaced approximately five feet apart in the main waiting room, and about the same distance apart in the secondary waiting room. A bottle of waterless hand cleaner sits on a shelf in the waiting room, but no cleaning whatsoever is done to a treatment room or space after a procedure has been completed. Once blood has been drawn, the wound is covered with a gauze pad and no more than two strips of paper tape. I've had blood work three times in the last year and each time the paper tape works loose, leaving the would uncovered after only an hour. According to most physicians, wounds of this nature should be covered for a minimum of two hours. There is one pen per station for the general public to use. This pen is not cleaned after a patient uses it. Staff do wear masks, and the general public is encouraged to wear masks - but denial of service is not enforced if a patient enters the facility without a mask. No one polices the main waiting room. Children are allowed to run amok. COVID has helped cover up a lot of bad business practices and companies are getting away with shoddy customer service because of those practices - not COVID 19. Quest is a prime example of another poorly managed, minority business in the health care field. I can assure you. This was my last visit to this incompetent business. UGH! read more

Although I had an appointment, the office was full of people. No one greets you, instead there are signs with instructions and a computer to sign in. This was my first visit and I found everything very impersonal. I was told to sign that I would pay over $167 for urinalysis that I have never paid for before although I have insurance. I was given instructions and told to wait where there were many others already waiting. When I asked how long the wait was, I was told they didn't know. I left and will never return to this location. read more

It's unfortunate that one rude person in an office could result in a poor review, but that's how it is: the office staff is a team and the team is only as good as its weakest player. This woman dripped venom and hostility. I do understand these are difficult times and these people have a difficult job to do. Still, being rude is not ok. I very calmly called her on it and her reply? "I'm not being rude, this is how I talk". I would hate to have her lose her job. Rather, my hope is that if enough people comment, perhaps a supervisor, without naming names, could speak to the staff about the need to treat customers with respect. In any case, I will never step foot in that lab again. read more

This is a fantastic Quest location! Everyone is very friendly, personable and helpful. I was concerned when I first walked in because it was so busy but I was in and out very quickly! I get a little nervous around needles but with the friendly people around me I never felt a thing or had a moment to get uptight. Thank you so much! read more

This place never heard the word "CIVIL". The first live person never looked at me, even though I clearly said good morning to her, and repeated it. She just held out her hand and said cards. I might add she was sitting and I was standing. Finally she said "room 3". So I moved onto room 3. After a few minutes in walked another person I assumed to be a technician who also did not look at me said " sit in that chair". I said,"good morning" and received no reply. Then I said, how come no one speaks in here or says good morning. To which she turned and YELLED - GOOD MORNING...That was the entire conversation we had, except for when she told me that I had not properly breathed into a test bag -which she had not instructed me how it was to be done. I think Quest management should be ashamed to put their name on this awful establishment....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

The attitude and the behavior of the front desk does not even deserve one star. One star ONLY because of the phlebotomist -- a very nice lady. The front desk was at best unfriendly. When called to Computer 2, the woman behind the desk rapped sharply on a hand written sign that said "Lab Request/ Driver's License/Insurance Card." She never looked up. Never said a word. Grabbed the documents off the counter. Slid a bill toward me. When I started to pay in cash, she wrote a note that said debit or credit card. By that time, I GUESSED that she had laryngitis... but wouldn't it have been NICE, COURTEOUS, CIVIL if only she had written THAT on the counter note? I was offended by her rude behavior. We will find another lab. Convenience is certainly not everything. read more

I went here for blood work for a research study for my pregnancy and pregnancy blood work. It took over a week and a half to get the results for pregnancy. The worst part was that I got poked twice for a blood draw the same day to get in the last lab for my research study. Was under the impression that Lady (she has a name I'm trying to be respectful) had it handled, she had the number and fax number for where everything was going. It was for a TB test via blood. This was done the second. I've called many times, to their awful phone line meant to not help you (robots). Called the number for Lady (she has a name) several times, and today finally got a hold of someone who told me that the lab requisition was there but it was never drawn. Only have 1 week to get the blood drawn, and have medication shipped, but they won't ship to me until I have a negative result. This is literally a matter of life and death for my growing baby, if i Dont get this medicine then there is a high likelyhood that I will have another stillbirth. Thank you Lady and Quest for dropping the ball, and probably disqualifying me from this research study. I recommend no one goes here. Oh you also won't get access to your results for about 3 weeks! This business actually gave 2 different A1C levels to 2 different doctors from the same blood draw. They also will require you to give them a credit card for the charges or they will refuse service to you. They will automatically charge your credit card the patient responsibly cost before you have even received any confirmation from you insurance. You will not get a invoice and have a chance to pay it by check or online. I can't tell you how many times a medical billing has been more than the insurance said you owed and trying to get your money back is unbelievable. If I had another option with my insurance I would never go to this place again. They truly stink! read more
