If I could give them a 0 I would. I've been in school for years and I've been doing drug tests since I started nursing school in 2016. I placed the order with my school and they give me a printed form to take to ANYYY quest. I make an appointment online, I show up to my appointment and the lady (who was chewing her gum very unprofessionally) told me at first they don't do urine test at this specific location. I told her it's impossible and she said well we do but I can't do it for you today. I told her everyone scans the paper and is able to do it. EVERY SINGLE TIME I HAVE BEEN TO A QUEST THROUGH SCHOOL THIS IS THE PROCESS. Last I checked I wasn't blind and I can see how the process is done. She then refuses to even scan my paper and says she can't do it. They supposedly open at 8 am. I had an appointment for 8:30 am, and when I arrived no one was here and the door was locked. I waited until after 9:05 am and then left. I received no notice whatsoever about the fact that they would not be able to keep my appointment. Two other people were waiting for their appointments at the same time. Someone who works in the building says that this kind of thing happens all the time with this Quest location. There's another location at 4849 Van Nuys, which I walked to, but they were fully booked and said getting a walk-in appointment could take a very long time. They didn't know anything about what was going on and didn't have any way to find out. (There is no way to reach anyone at Quest on the phone ever, as far as I can tell). Ironically, after I had left, I received an email that my appointment was cancelled due to building maintenance which, I assure you, was not happening while I was there. read more

I wish I could give this place a negative rating!!! I went online to the Quest Diagnostics website on 3/8/23 at about 9:30pm to make my appointment for the next day at 12:00pm. I got a text confirmation, as well as a confirmation on my Quest Diagnostics app, which I also use. Showed up for my appointment on the day and time I reserved and was passed over 3 times over a 35 min. period, at which point I asked the woman working there why I keep getting passed over. She asked me for my name and said that I do not appear in her system. When I continued to discuss the matter with her she told me she was with a patient (Who literally just walked in) and closed the door in my face. The second time she came out, I showed her my app with the confirmation, and she again said, your name is not in our system. I told her that may be, but I have a confirmation, which she did not look at, and said that she needed to see a text message or an email. When I showed her my text confirmation she again said she was with a patient and then her attitude turned from bad to worse. After showing her the app, and the text confirmation, she said that the guy she just let in was waiting there for a long time. I said so am I! That's when she said that she does not feel comfortable and said that she was not going to take my blood at this time. Her name is Breana, or Briana. Dark curly long hair, about 5'5" tall and very kurt. There used to be a really nice woman there called Mila, but she's not there anymore. Wasted an hour of my time over something that was their fault and I left without getting my lab work done because there was absolutely no way with the attitude they gave me I would let them get near me with a needle. Very unorganized and unprofessional with multiple people waiting for help/had questions with no front desk worker. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to help multiple people check in with the tablet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They wasted over an hour of my time over an address that I had ready while I was still in the lab work room! Also there was vials of patients blood just sitting in the lab room on the counter. The tech was out of the room for 2 minutes. What if someone does something with the vials?! To just leave it out on the counter unattended is unacceptable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wish I had gotten their names because the attitude they gave my care coordinator and I is unacceptable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] More details: [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, there is no secretary. You check in with a tablet and there were multiple people who needed help or had questions and there was no one to assist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That's not the issue in my case though. I had an order from my surgeon for labs. They call me in to take blood and I hand the paper. She leaves the room comes back and says this isn't an order. I said "well this is what my doctor gave me. I clarified that it's an order and they said yes, it says what panels are needed and has the doctors information on it". She says nope the doctors address isn't on here. I say oh okay I can give you the address. The tech says well you have to talk to the other person because she's saying this isn't an order. Even though the doctors name, NPI, phone and fax, patient diagnosis code and what lab panels were needed were all on the paper along with the doctors signature and what the labs were needed for. She then says you have 10 minutes to have the doctor fax the order with the address and sends me back out to the waiting room even though I had the address ready to give!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I call my care coordinator and she says she has never had this issue with quest diagnostics and has sent orders the same way for hundreds of people and asks to speak to the technician.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wait there another 10 minutes because of course there is no employee at the front and a different technician comes out which I assume is who my tech had spoken to since there were only 2 employees!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]She comes out and I hand the phone to her and my care coordinator explains that it IS an order and the tech says "well I have no idea what is going on I come out and these people hand a phone to me".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She then asks my coordinator if they have an account with them and my coordinator says no but that they don't need an account because they've sent hundreds of people to quest and have never had this issue. The tech agrees that an account ISN'T needed and they just have to manually enter the doctors information. I say well okay the doctors NPI and everything is on the order the only thing missing is the address which I had on my phone! She then calls in her patient and I am stuck in the waiting room again even though I have the address. I wait about 20 minutes (again keep in mind there's about 5 people standing by the desk with questions) and my original tech still hasn't come out. After those 20 minutes the second tech who had spoken to my patient care coordinator comes out and I say I have the address and that I wrote it down on the order and she proceeds to tell me well your appointment was at 9:30 so you have to wait. There's over 10 people waiting in the waiting room why would I have to wait when I had an appointment and all they were missing was the address which took me 1 second to pull up!!!! Horrible, incompetent, and rude, workers who should stay far away from the medical field. Also not a good look to have 2 unhealthy techs who each weigh a minimum of 300 pounds working in healthcare. I wish I had gotten their names but you'll know who they are cause they look like blimps :) read more

I had the day off so I figured it's a good day to get my fasting blood test done. I called and the message said they take walk ins. That is a lie. They will take you if someone cancels or doesn't show up. After waiting for over an hour I left and called the supervisor. She said that she didn't see my name on the walk in list but I could go back in and I would be taken care of. After checking in again and another 45 minutes, I called again. She thought I was at a different office. She told me there were 2 people signed in and 2 more appointments scheduled but they MIGHT be able to get me before they close the office for lunch! I told the supervisor I came back because she said they would take care of me. She apologized for her mistake but I wasted almost 3 hours here. Didn't get my test. Came here for my 1 hour glucose test in which I booked online. Before I book the time, it asks if it's for 1 hour or 3 hour glucose, mine is for 1 hour. It allows me to book for 4:00pm. I show up, she calls me back on time & explains that they close at 5pm and isn't allowed to do my 1 hour glucose test. At this rate, I'm beyond confused because A) it shouldn't allow you to book an appt if it "before closing" & B) if you close at 5pm then I'll be done with the glucose by then. She proceeds to tell me that my Fresh Test (which is just a cleaner, gluten free alternative to the awful glucose drink they make pregnant women drink) I already knew this would come up so I show her the small print on their website that allows the drink. She says she can't take me & to WALK IN another day & I'll be on standby (basically in case someone doesn't show up) i won't be coming back to this location, ever. read more

Prudencia is the best. I'm a very difficult stick and have been injured numerous times while giving and getting blood drawn. She def knows what she is doing and is experienced. She knew my arm was a hard stick but still got me in one attempt. That NEVER happens for me and am very grateful. I will be back to this location if I ever need to have blood drawn again. Worst customer service I have ever received. Showed up with a confirmed appointment at 12pm from my doctor. I tired to check in on tablet and was having difficulty... Waited for over 10 mins for the girl standing at the desk to even acknowledge me. When I asked for help she told me to just use the table I proceeded to tell her I was having issues with it. She then said I couldn't be seen because they were going on lunch. I continued to try and let her know I had an appointment at 12 I had taken a screenshot of my confirmation and she told me that they couldn't take me in anymore and said that my confirmation wasn't valid because it was a screenshot. At this point I was frustrated but really needed my blood work for my doctor so I signed up for standby. They then kicked me out of the office and said I had to leave and return at 1:30. I asked for a phone number for a manager or somebody I could speak with, and they just gave me the business card to make an appointment, as I was waiting in the lobby and even as I was walking away, I could hear them talk and laugh about how they weren't going to take another appointment and how they don't have time for that and rude remarks about myself. Every time I've came here it's been a bad experience terrible customer service And people who are just there for a paycheck. I got there a few minutes before my appointment time (scheduled online.) Nobody was at the front desk, but there is a small kiosk there allowing you to check in. Which I did. But, I had to use the restroom very badly and had to go to the orthodontist's office next door to get the key. This hospital has no keyless restrooms - even on the upper floors! But, thankfully, the restroom was spotless and smelled like a strawberry patch. +1 star for that. There was only one phlebotomist on duty and there were 4 or 5 of us that she had to wait on, including one woman who just couldn't pee enough liquid into the cup (that was a conversation I really could've lived without hearing.) The phlebotomist put me in one room and left me there for like 5 minutes and then told me to come to another room. After she took the blood, she gave me a piece of cotton, said "hold it", and then left for another 5 minutes. I guess she ran out of tape. It seems this location is overworked and understaffed. Oh by the way, they will ask you to sign a form stating that the tubes of blood they took are yours...so if you have a weakness about seeing your own blood, you'd better not come here! haha If this had been LabCorp, I would have been done and out of there far sooner. But, my workplace now only uses Quest Diagnostics! Oh well. Next time I'll try another location. Oh yeah - if you want free parking, you have to park blocks away in the residential area. Otherwise...be prepared to pay the lot attendant for every minute you're there! read more

Quest is no longer what it was: it bought up all the competition, so they are all over LA, but service is terrible, often with only one employee to do everything. You can't call to ask questions because the whole phone system is automated. Lots of locales, so some are better than others, but you don't know until you try a different one. A lousy way to do business! After my negative review, I received a request from Quest to contact them. Finally a phone number that worked! I am happy to say that they sounded very concerned about the problem. But the real test will be whether this creates change in their website and other outreach for possible clients.If you need to reach them and talk to a human, call them at 800-420-7225 for their Patient Advocacy dept. or test them at patientadvocacy@quest diagnostics.com. We came to this place after our doctor visit because they say they take walk-ins. Although we understood that appointments were a priority, there was no way for them to even accommodate the people walking in. No way for people to sign in or for them to know how many people they need to accommodate. The front desk lady was extremely rude in raising her voice to patients simply asking when they think they'll be able to be seen. And of course, they close at 5pm, so they just expect everyone to wait until then only to be told they can't be seen? Unbelievably unprofessional on the front desk lady and unorganized on their part for not being able to see at least a couple walk-ins at a time in between appointments. I also tried to call them to schedule an appointment for the next week instead and they just let the phone ring. I tried again once I got home and they let it ring again. Horrible services. read more
