My daughter had to get blood drawn for her one year checkup, regular lead & hemoglobin level testing. The reviews had me a little nervous but the employees were very courteous and friendly. She didn't like it - but they kept her dad and I very comfortable and at ease. The only reason I docked a star, I made an appointment at 1:45 via Quest automated phone system, and come 4pm they had no notice.... But did in fact take us promptly in front of others in the full waiting room! read more

Got to the office at 4:35, no sign in sheet so waited at front till someone finally comes out at 4:43 and tells me that they do not take new patients after 4:30 and that I would have to come in another time. I explain that I have previously come in as late at 4:45 and have never had this problem. She said I can make an appointment for tomorrow but she will not process me today. There is no posted sign telling you this and their hours say they are open till 5pm. Ill go to LabCorp from now on since they took me right down the hall from them no problem at 4:45 and they also close at 5pm. read more

I walked in without an appointment 2 days before Thanksgiving at 2 pm to have some blood drawn for a metabolic panel. I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman that asked me to sign in & provide my insurance info. Immediately after signing in I was lead back to room 3. The actual blood drawing procedure was quick and pain free. It was as pleasant of an experience as having blood drawn can be. I will definitely go back for future blood work needs! read more

Really bad service here. A 70yr old granny was there since 9am on 8/23/16. Waited until 11, was wondering why they still haven't call her name and wants me to go translate for her. I looked at the sign in sheet and she was the first on the sheet, I waited at the front desk to try to ask one of the lady, but all of them were in the back room having Starbucks and eating their lunches chit chatting. Finally, after 10 mins of standing there without being help, a lady walked out and acted like I was totally invisible and grabbed some tissues. I have to scream and catch her attention, she looked at me with this very impatient look. I asked what was the deal with this granny, she said she didn't make appointment and walked back in the room again. Omg right? So I have to tell the grandma that she may have to go make appointment, she told me she didn't eat all mornjng so she can do her blood test and she have to take buses there, and asked me to help ask how much longer she needs to wait. I waited for another 10 mins at the front, same lady came out and so I have to flag her down and ask her. She looked at the sign in sheet and goes, there's 4 appointments ahead of her so probably an hour to 2. Wtf? 4 people blood drawn takes an hour to do? You act like I've never got my blood drawn before, it probably take you guys less than 5 mins for each patient. What a lazy dumb brat. I told her that was ridiculous. I just feel so sorry for the old lady becos her blood test have to be fasting and she haven't eat anything the whole morning while they were in there taking their sweet time eating. read more

I've been here once since my last pregnancy, today is my second time, when I arrive, they were talking at the counter didn't even greet, so I just sign in myself, after sign in, they still didn't tell me what to do, so I just sat down, 2 mins later after their chilling conversation, one of the lady finally ask me a question, "why you skip #75 on the paper and sign in on second page?", "I didn't see it." Of course! Why would I do that if I see it??? Come on?? And why the hell you didn't tell me when I was signing in? And what the hell you want me to do now?? Anyway.. So she ask me to give her my insurance card, and have a sit again... 5 mins later, she ask me to go into the room, didn't say anything else, she expect I know what to do, she look at my arms and all she said is "oh you got a small vein there" didn't ask me to close my pawn or get ready, just poke my arm!! Ouch!!! That was really hurt!! I've never feel like that when I go to other place for blood draw.. Now its still hurting after 1 hour later!!! I feel unwelcome, and she is really rude!!! I wish I can give 0 star!! I will never return!!! read more

If I could give a -10 I would. One of the most horrible experiences I've ever had and what's worse is it was with my 4 day old son. Our son had jaundice when he was born and we were told to test his blood. When we got here they were unprofessional to start, taking about their personal lives and what their going to have for lunch before checking in patients. When it was my sons turn they told the new girl to do, she made it clear she did not know how and kept saying she didn't want to and they kept telling her to just try it, all this in front of us! They said things like "do it right or might get a clot" like wtf?! Are you seriously being that unprofessional and making it blatantly clear that the new girl that doesn't know how to do it and is not confident in doing it really do it? And have these conversations as though your not in front of us. He's 4 days old! Right as we were getting mad and ready to pick him up and go my husband said if you not capable we'll go else where! but they had just finished it. I will never come back here ever again. I've had 2 other bad experiences here for myself but never this bad. Stay away! They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I've been to other Quest facilities and they've been fine. This place is terrible! Rude personnel, won't return phone calls, lose orders, rough blood draws... You'd be better off going to a different facility if at all possible. read more

My email to QUEST: I made an appointment about a week ago for a blood test to take place on Thursday, September 29th at 8:15 am at your East 14th San Leandro, CA lab.The day prior to the appointment I called the San Leandro,CA office to confirm my appointment. I got an automated answering system which was of no use to me. I wanted to speak to a human being. Immediately after hanging up I emailed through your web site for confirmation appointment and to this day I did not get any response. I went to the lab on East 14th San Leandro about 10 minutes before the appointment time. I signed in and when my time came to be seen I was told that I did not have an appointment. It seems that I did not fully complete the online appointment form. So I was told that I will be seen as a "walk-in". I waited for 2 hours and I still was not attended to. When I asked one of the technicians when would be my turn I was told " I don't know. We only have three people working" The technicians were also manning the desk and reviewing the lab orders and checking insurance eligibility etc. The waiting room was filled to capacity with patients, some of whom were frail, sickly senior citizens in wheel chairs and they were waiting in excess of 90 minutes. They looked tired and frustrated. The patients were also overflowing outside the waiting room to the corridor. There were some patients who had appointments but they were still waiting to be seen more than 45 minutes later. It is really cruel and inhumane to see the poor suffering people waiting so long especially those who had fasted for 12 hours and who looked like they would faint at any moment. After waiting for more than 2 hours and 10 minutes I expressed my frustrations loudly. One of the patients heard me and told me to go around the corner to another lab in the same building. I took her advice and went there. I had not been there before. The receptionist welcomed me and within 15 minutes my blood was drawn and I was on my way. The service was quick and very professional. They gave me a business card and gave me the assurance that I can make appointments online and call and talk to a human being. I will never again go back to Quest. The name of the lab is LabCorp. Because I was so concerned about the well being of the patients at your lab I told them to go to LabCorp immediately to alleviate their suffering. I hope you will pass on this complaint to your CEO. The service has to improve drastically so that you can serve the community and the patients who are deserving of your care and concern. Another day, another long line at Quest. Again, they're "understaffed" (which seems to be the standard excuse). 27 people in line waiting. Only one(!) staff person on duty. She has to sign you in, process your insurance info and then draw your blood. One person had been waiting nearly an hour and she had an appointment. By this time it was 45 mins past her scheduled appointment time. read more
