Terrible customer service. Booked an appointment a week in advance for 11:15am. It is now almost noon and someone who walked in just went ahead of me. I brought this to Silvia's attention, and she did absolutely nothing. I spent thousands of dollars on labs with Quest and after today I will be switching to Lab Corp. Avoid this office. I had a confirmed appointment, they even sent me a reminder by email. But when I arrived on time, there was a note on the door stating that they were "temporarily" closed -- just for the day of my appointment. One-half hour AFTER the scheduled time, they sent me a "notice" of cancellation. If you make an appointment here, don't expect that they'll keep it. read more

Well, I was actually afraid to go to this place after I read all the reviews but decided to give it a shot anyway. What can I say... the service was amazing. I went there in the early morning and was quickly invited to the torture room, as I call it. The male specialist in his fifties or even sixties did the job quickly and painlessly. He was joking all the time - probably he noticed that I'm scared AF and didn't feel very comfortable. He even said a couple of phrases in my native language. Overall, everything was great, quickly and professionally. Probably I will go there again soon. I have been to five Quest locations in the past couple years and this is definitely one of the best ones. Clean, good sized waiting room with a tv and magazines. Self check in on an ipad. The wait is never too long and the phlebotomists treat you with kindness and respect. Walk-ins are welcome. I know lab draw can sometimes be anxiety provoking for patients and I am so grateful that this quest location has good customer service. I'd recommend it for my friends and family. read more

This place is amazing. Every time I come I wait less than 5 minutes and the phlebotomists are golden here!!! I am scared of blood draws and every time (even without me telling them about my fear) they do it so carefully, politely, and most importantly pain free! They distract me with friendly conversations such that I have no idea when they manage to draw multiple tubes of blood. This place is kind, professional, clean, and very good! When I had to for my first test a few years ago I was terrified of all the bad Quest reviews in Pasadena. But this place on MADISON is perfect. I go here regularly and so does my family. They are perfect! I could not recommend this place more. read more

The place is clean/sterile and they can execute lab work: plus 1 star Charges significantly more for the same exact tests at neighboring labs: minus 1 star Long waits even with appointments: minus 1 star Frustrating telephone prompt system: minus 1 star Terrible customer service department: minus 1 star Wouldn't have cared about paying more if they knew how to treat customers. I like paying more for a higher level of service but paying more for bad service just leaves a really bad taste in your mouth. Decided to try Quest for the first time and it was one of my worst experiences ever. They are competent at what they do but they forget you're a customer. Maybe this is just the medical industry in general? Anyway, there was a mix up in billing and trying to sort it out with them was a nightmare. Hope you never have to go through this with them. The smaller labs around here (ABC & Sun Labs) have much better customer service. If you need a place to go that's covered by insurance and can't choose another lab then go with Quest and hope the billing isn't screwed up. If you don't have insurance go to ABC or Sun Lab as their cash prices are way cheaper and a human picks up the phone which is a huuuuge plus in my book. read more

Great phlebotomist! Arrived, got in no waiting. Phlebotomist was able to get my vein on the first try. (last place I had blood drawn stuck me over 15 times!) Was in and out in under 15 min. Had a problem getting test results at my PCP. PCP said that QUEST cancelled my tests. What??? Went in and spoke with Ben (same person who originally drew my blood). He assured me QUEST never cancels tests, and he went out of his way to fix a problem that wasn't his fault. Ben called the main office and straightened everything out and they are sending all my test results to my doctor ASAP! Minor inconvenience but problem solved ;) read more

Have taken my baby 3 times in 3 years for blood draws. The phlebotomist Ben has a gift. My baby doesn't even react when the tiny needle goes in, he just watches mesmerized. No fuss, no tears and it's over before he knows what happened. Ben is very calm and patient. I think his demeanor helps put my baby at ease. read more

Had an appointment for blood test, then a 24 hour urine sample. Came in the next day to drop off urine sample. Had to sign in on sheet just to drop off the sample, and waited. And waited. And waited. An hour plus. Still waiting as I type this. Just to drop off a sample. read more

Designed for people who have no job. Hours are incredibly inconvenient. Staff is nice and professional.

One star for cleanliness and presentation. All the pros stops right there. Poor patient service. Went in for stool test....they don't even give a proper collection kit. No tongue depressor to collect. Clear bag to keep the containers. Wouldn't let me use the bathroom at the facility....you have to get the keys and go round the hall to use the restroom. And once you come back.....with a clear bag you sit in the waiting room for over 30 mins for them to just accept the sample!!!!! And mind you, just the person who gave the container should do the paperwork. I am sure anyone in the lab can collect the sample from the patient. Rude horrible patient service. Why do they forget that it's "patients" - mostly sick people coming to them. And treat them with respect and humanity. read more

My experience at this location was awesome! I didn't make an appointment, but planned on walking in right at 8am. I was second in line and got seen right away. I told the phlebotomist that I normally faint when getting blood drawn. He immediately had me lay down versus drawing blood sitting up. He was courteous and the experience was pain-free! Quick easy and painless. I have extremely thin veins and had just been bruised badly just one week before from a blood draw and they were only able to get one vial of blood. Ms. Ouzounian was a God send with her skills. Quick painless and got 5 vials! Thank you for putting me at ease. read more

I've been here twice and both times the wait was short and the process was quick and easy. Check in at the tablet at the desk and wait until they call your name. They will ask for your insurance card and/or referral papers when they call you up and then you go back and sit for another few minutes until they call you to the back rooms. I have non-visible veins but they are always able to find them at the first shot! The people working here are efficient and courteous and the clinic is clean and bright with nice window views. Drawing blood is never fun but this place makes it a little bit better. read more

First time patient at this location. I was able to easily make an appointment online which I love. When I go there, I was 25 minutes early but they were able to take me right in which was also great. Ponce took my blood and was able to get it all with one poke. A lot of places struggle to find my veins and he had no problem. Painless, quick, easy and friendly. Would definitely go back. read more

The woman at the font desk yelled at the people in the waiting room, and shouted out personal information about their tests. One couple gave up and left. this is the best place to have blood work done. ive been coming here for the past 7 yrs + ive never had a problem nor been falsely charged. the staff is professional and friendly here. i make my appts online and im seen as soon as im seated and out fast. they are quick and comforting about the needle/blood drawing process :) i love this place. today i went to the one in hawthorn and i regret it soo much. they tried to rip me off by making me pay $215 up front when i had sufficient medical funds. i even called my insurance company to confirm today. if that horrible place in hawthorn tries to charge me, im fighting their charges and filing a complaint against them. sorry, im just really pissed at myself for not driving to the pasadena location today. read more

I'm pregnant and had to take my glucose challenge test here. The building was easy to find, easy to park (although expensive at $5 to park in the lot), and very clean (it's actually adorable if you appreciate small historic buildings). The lab was easy to find and pristine. There's a tablet you sign into and then you turn in paperwork when your name is called. I came on a Friday morning around 10am and the wait time was very short. The woman at the desk was very efficient and kind. I have anxiety about getting my blood drawn because I have small, hard-to-find veins and have had quite a few painful experiences. I told her my concern and she was understanding. Ben was my phlebotomist and even though he had a hard time finding my vein, he was still able to get the draw on the first stick and it was very quick and almost painless. I would happily come back here if I needed anymore lab work done. read more

This review applies to Quest the company, not the specific facility where the blood was drawn. Several months ago I elected to have a blood test drawn to determine if I may be at risk of having a rare complication from a dental extraction because I had been taking a drug for osteoporosis that has been linked to osteonecrosis of the jaw following dental surgery. The blood was drawn more than a week prior to my scheduled surgery and was supposed to have a 4 day turn around. On the day of the scheduled procedure the results were not yet available but I elected to go ahead with the procedure. When I returned for follow-up a week later (now two weeks after the blood test was drawn) the results were still not available. My physician called the lab and and was told the test had not been run yet because the reagents needed to run the test were not available. Since the result would be of no use at that point, he told them to cancel the test. They refused to do so. Since then I have made numerous phone calls to Quest about this. They ran the test anyway after both myself and my physician told them to cancel the test and they continue to bill me for it. This is an unethical company and I would avoid dealing with it if at all possible. read more
