the staff is rude. I had an order to take my 1 year old here when the lady looked at the sheet they told me my doctor didn't order a hemoglobin test an asked me what test I wanted to do today. I asked didn't a cbc test have hemoglobin. she didn't know she had to Google it. We go to do the test she can't find my babies vein and keeps pricking him as he's screaming. I start crying and another staff member comes in and starts giving me an attitude and threatening to call the cops when I tell her what is going on. This location needs to be reported. When I arrived I found the office was closed and had to use their mobile unit which was outside in 90 degree heat. Then once I was in and had my blood drawn I was informed they couldn't complete everything my Doctor order. They were unable to take a urine sample at that location and they gave me a container to take home and drop off at another Quest location. When I arrived home I found there weren't any orders included in the bag. So I tried to call and only got a voice mail telling me to go to the Web page Not happy already, I do not drive and had to have my wife take the sample to the closet QUEST, and after arriving she was told she needed to check in. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP. First of all I should have been informed the location I made the appointment at was basically closed do to remodeling and recommend another location Then they didn't enclose Dr order for sample Worst was making us make multiple trips and couldn't just take sample and say sorry for the inconvenience but instead make my wife find a place to park and come in, then insist she needs to sign in.. Quest represents everything that is bad about Ocala. The worst....maybe, have heard that Labcorp is worse but I cannot imagine how. This was the second time i went and after no parking, no seating and long wait with rude clients playing 'Dance Moms' show loudly on her phone next to me, they did not have the test I had the appointment for. . I've never been so disgusted with a lack of customer service, compassion and care for elderly and just healthcare patients in general. In a waiting room with a TV and two tablets for everybody to check in. Not everybody is tech savvy and there were many people who needed assistance checking in or didn't even know that they did and assume because they have paperwork, but they were already checked in and no one bothered to tell them anything. It wasn't until after they've set there a couple of hours and didn't get any call that they go to the door and are finally told that they have to turn around and check in and now having waited hours and being in the front of the line they're in the back of the line. Many people were called and quickly taken off the list when some of these people couldn't get up out of their seat in the time frame that these people called them, they tell you that you can go outside if you are on a standby list or if your appointment is not for a minute and they will call you on your phone and tell you, but I witnessed myself that that was not the case for many of the patients there. Many elderly people were in pain. They were losing the ride that was supposed to take them back home. One elderly lady who looked about 80 years old had been there from 9:00 until almost 1:00 and her ride came while she was in the back. Finally just asking questions and left and she had no way home and so I watched her go out into the hot heat begged her not to and she said I'm not even going to get my lab work done here. I'm going to walk to another hospital and she was going to walk to Advent health rather than wait there another minute. Another one was in so much pain and couldn't sit there anymore and she burst into tears. Was absolutely the worst customer service and the unfathomable lack of compassion and care that I've ever seen. I've received more care in a grocery store than I did there and I will never go back to That facility. The only thing right about it was that it was a lab because I definitely felt they were being treated like Lab rats and not people. After waiting from the morning time until late afternoon and getting called back, I was told that they were no longer administering the drug test that I needed in order to obtain employment. Had they informed me of that sooner while I was on the list for all those hours I could have tried to shuffle maybe reschedule or look for another facility. Instead I waited from 9:00 till almost 2:00 to be told I can't be tested. And as frustrated as I am about that, I'm even more frustrated at how the elderly and disabled people were disregarded an unassisted in the waiting room. I can't believe this is the best that we can do. As someone who no longer has their parents and thought about how these are somebody's parents and I would never want them to experience that just to go give blood or a sample. Lab or not. It is a healthcare facility. It is not a retail store and people should have been given much more care consideration, information and assistance then I saw today and I am mortified. I came out of that backroom the way most did in complete tears feeling dejected and confused as to why even bothered to come there. It is my hope that what I experienced at the facility on 17th is not indicative of the company as a whole but definitely someone needs to do something. There should be somebody in an informational capacity in the waiting room to assist people. There's a learning curve; not everybody has tech savvy. Not everybody can sit in a chair for 10 hours and you never know with somebody with a health issue is going through. How dare they treat them with such disregard. read more

No receptionist and I know why. Just easier to be bad when no one can complain. No help checking in and my Mom is 90 so thank goodness I took her. Got put on a standby list then sat for an hour and a half. When I asked what was going on the Lab lady said every time someone walks in with an appointment you get bumped! I probably saw 6 technicians working and could not seem to get my mom in. Left and won't be back. We are nothing more the "cattle" here. This is going to be a SCATHING review! The level of patient care at this facility is impersonal and horrible! There is such a lack of compassion and empathy for patients and more of an 'empty the cattle car' mentality. While I understand that patients with appointments are given priority over walk-ins, no one should have to wait over two hours only to find out that they refuse to see you 10 minutes before closing. There were at least 2 no shows during the time I waited, and evidently they made no effort to use that as an opportunity to fit me in. If they are not able to see you as a walk-in, they should at least tell you or just not accept walk-ins at all. This was such a horrible and humiliating experience! I thought that at least waiting until near closing time, they would be able to fit me in last, but they didn't even do that. In fact, it was apparent that the lady who refused me service took great pleasure in kicking me out! This is what you get from trying to do business with a woke company that fills the waiting room air with videos about saving the planet and Bill Gates and with his lectures about 'misinformation'. I'm sure they thought I was some white supremacist who deserves to be treated like a second class citizen, and they felt completely justified in denying me service. What you get from them is pious judgement instead of patient care. Unacceptable! I am just a patient who needs to get his blood work done, and I was under the wrong impression that they would help me. Instead, they did absolutely nothing for me, and demanded that I leave. If I could give it a zero star rating, I absolutely would. Quest diagnostics is the worst! There is no receptionist, so you have to stand by the door, quickly try to grab someone's attention when they open it, for them to be rude to you most of the time! The sign in process is ridiculous, as many elderly do not understand how to use the check-in kiosk. Yet there is no receptionist to assist with these matters. The wait time for walkins is absolutely ridiculous. The fact that you cannot just drop off a specimen is insane. If you're short staffed, hire more staff... Polite, competent ones at that! Sadly, these reviews do not mean anything. Quest has always been, and obviously always will be, a disappointment. I hate, and always dread, visiting this business. read more

Never had trouble with this lab until my last two visits. I was leaving stool samples. Had received three Ova and Parasite tubes. In the past I was told that these tests were done on three stools because parasites have a life cycle and can be hard to detect depending on when samples are collected. So I assumed lab needed three samples from three stools. Turned first sample in. No problem. Next sample was rejected because there was not enough stool in the tube. This after being told not to "over fill" it when they gave it to me in the first place. Okay, my mistake for not getting it exactly on the line. Got another tube. The next time I made sure that I filled it right to the line, but was told that this tube would not be accepted because they need two tubes full from one stool for this specific test, something they could have explained the time I brought in the second sample. I told them so, obviously irate but no name calling, etc.. No apology. Just more sample tubes. read more

Rude, terrible staff. The security guard was helping people sign in and doing it wrong. There is a QR code on your phone that they tell you to scan. Security guard said no there isn't and I have to scan my Drivers License. Then when I was called back for my test, I asked about it. The person checking me in was completely snarky and escalated the situation by taking me out to the front and showing me that there is a place for QR and I am stupid. Then she took me to the back and was again rude. She said someone would be in to draw my blood. When this person asked me how I was doing, I told her of my experience. The person who checked me in came back and said get out! They told me to leave without getting my blood test. Don't waste your time here. STAY AWAY! Supervisor and corporate don't care either. So a friend came to me and asked what to do with her lump and bruise on her arm and what would cause this; as I am a phlebotomist and instructor of phlebotomy. Clearly it was a tech by the name of Phyllis who gave my friend a hard time from the second she stepped in the facility. She described the needle to me which is known as a straight needle right into her superficial vein. Hmmm...vendetta because my friend gave her attitude back after receiving Phyllis's attitude? Or is Phyllis simply this incompetent because WITHOUT a tourniquet on, she has a huge..I repeat HUGE plump juicy one in her AC vein. I have been in the field for 25 years and this is unacceptable. I always hear horror stories whether it be from local hospitals, or Quest from many of my friends and family and I am curious as to how you stay in business. I made an appointment online. I arrived for my appointment, checked in on my phone. All very smooth. I went in. A young lady, came out, called my name, told me which room to go to. I went in, and I sat down. Several minutes later she came in and said I'm so sorry. I had a really big cup of strong coffee this morning. She proceeded to tell me that she needed to draw eight tubes of blood. The first stick went well after the second tube of blood she reached for another tube and twisted the needle and ripped my vein, smiled at me and said well, we got 2 maybe I should've used a butterfly. At which point I began to get dizzy and nauseous, she yelled for someone named Phyllis, who told her to tell me that I had to leave and come back in a different time to have my blood drawn. And then promptly threw away the blood that she had already drawn. I wish I could attach a picture of what my arm looks like two hours later and continues to work like days later. read more

There's a couple of Quest locations located through out the county. This one is always packed with customers but a long wait can be avoided by making an appointment. You won't be taken in at your appointment time but you will be taken in within 20 minutes which is a lot quicker than the hour you could be waiting. It particularly comes in handy if you're fasting test and need to eat relatively soon. read more

I had a very terrible experience at this quest Diagnostics. I've been here a few times before and I was told the wait was an hour so I was signed in and provided my phone number. I waited in the car and after 15 minutes I came back inside for the lady working to tell me I've been taken off the list and that they have been "calling my name" and I didn't answer. I asked why they didn't call the number they asked for and she responded with "well that's how it works and we don't call the number". I had to wait additional time and I was treated very rudely. Wish I could give 0 stars! Horrible scammers! Don't go here! First of all your phone scheduling machine is broken and had to go on the website to schedule my appointment. There is no receptionist when you walk in, only 2 iPads looking machines to check in. I am pregnant and went in to get bloodwork done and was told the MOST I would be held liable to pay total would be $250 for the panel test and it may be less but nothing over that amount. I got a print out of this information on that day that I did the bloodwork. Staff was rude during visit and obviously don't know what they are doing because I still have a line on my arm months later that is now a scar that will not go away because of the shot and that has never happened to me in my life. They called me a couple weeks later and told me I will only have to pay $150, great news! BUT THEN I get a bill in the mail a month and a half later stating I owe $500. You are a bunch of scammers! Telling me I only have to pay $250 the most and then charging $500. I went in today and nobody knows anything about what's going on. Still trying to resolve this issue. No customer service. Messed up the billing. They did not send to the insurance company. Staff were rude when I told them that my husband dose have insurance.

Arrived at 2:40 for a quick test already paid for and registered. Checked in at the kiosk and was given a wait time of 3 min, I was the only person in the lobby. Employee comes out and tells me they don't take walk ins after 2:30. I politely say my paper says testing until 3 and they close at 3:30. She tells me again no walks after 2:30 so I repeat that I'm following the directions on the order for this location and she replies the computer shuts down at 2:30. At this time there are 2 more people checking in. I say ok and go to leave and another employee comes out and calls my name. I explain and again I'm told they don't take walk ins after 2:30 because it takes a long time. It's a urine sample... Got home and checked the website which gives the same 3:00 and 3:30 times that my order states, no separate times for walk ins. Not sure how those other people in the lobby were going to be tested with the computers down and all. Staff: you've been hired to do a job for Quest who states test until 3, not don't take walk ins because you don't want to run the risk of being held up 5 extra minutes. read more
