This is always my go to location to get blood out. I have really small veins, so it's always tricky. Lately I've been having the same person, Nelson, take my blood. I'm here to talk about the two most recent times I've had Nelson. I came here after a really bad flare where I couldn't eat for 5 days and couldn't drink much for 5 days due to the flare pain. After getting out of the hospital my doctor sent me here for more tests. So that just made it even harder to find a vein. Nelson got it on the second try.(he did have to try both my arms) He's always been really helpful and if you're a chicken when it comes to needles like I am, he's great at making you feel comfortable I also had Nelson do my pre op bloodwork. I was in the hospital a few nights prior and then had to come here. I showed him the only area they could get blood out of (showed him where my Iv was in the hospital) It didn't hurt, So I told him to try there. He told me to take a deep breath In and I was waiting to feel the needle to exhale, but I didn't even feel it. He was already taking blood out. This was literally 100 percent painless. If you have a hard time getting blood out, ASK for Nelson!! My veins are extremely small and he is amazing. Nelson always makes it pain FREE. And my veins are always hard to find since I'm always so dehydrated from the pain not being able to drink enough fluids and keep it down The only thing I hate is how I have to upload my ID and insurance card every single time vs them just keeping it on file But making an appointment is a breeze. I highly recommend it. Sometimes it can be extremely busy here. They do have limited handicap spots up front which fill up fast. Other wise there's other parking on site but you do have to walk (not super far) They always make it easy to look up my results. I get an email saying my results are ready, I sign in and boom! Everything is there There's a lot of chairs to sit in while waiting for your appointment. There's also chairs outside the waiting room in the hallway which is where I usually sit Things can get wild in the waiting room. There's so many rude people asking when their turn is (make an appointment! They are always on schedule) Good luck to everyone!! And Nelson is a godsend read more

I loved this Quest Diagnostics lab. It was very easy to get an appointment online. Parking was easy. When I entered the lab there was no line and no one was in the waiting room. I checked in using the check in link that was texted to me and I was called in within a minute. I forgot my phlebotomist tech's name, but she was extremely thorough, professional, and the smoothest needle stick I have ever experienced! I was in and out within 15 minutes. Maybe it was just me, but the process was quite literally painless. Made an appointment online, checked in on my phone. Was called back at my exact appointment time. The only downside was the lady who took me back and entered my labs into the system seemed like she was due for a break. She kept checking her watch, was a bit cold, and then actually left without saying anything to me. Another phlebotomist came in and took over, who was WONDERFUL. Jess was friendly, and so professional. She nailed my vein on the first attempt (usually a hard task as they're deep). She reviewed the work of the first one and noticed she didn't enter two of the requested blood tests. This means a second jab, which she apologized profusely for. But it honestly didn't matter because she got my other arm with no issue. I'm just so glad she checked the other's work to not waste my time. Thank you Jess! You're amazing! read more

Where do I even begin? Sooooo, my doctor says I need bloodwork every 4 weeks ...sounds simple, right? WRONG!!!! Fast forward to Friday, my first appointment, and... Wow!!!! I walk into what looks like the set of a suuuuper low-budget medical drama: 15 people packed in like sardines, several were literally standing in the hallway. The vibe? Suuuuper Sketchy aaaaand Cringe!! The staff? Let's just say if they smiled, I missed it. I couldn't tell if they were working or being held against their will. Not exactly the confidence boost you want before someone sticks a needle in your arm. Juuuuuust sayin'! Oh! Aaaaaand pro tip - Make an appointment. Sure, they say they welcome walk-ins, buuuuut based on the chaos I witnessed, that's like saying you're welcome to crash a wedding... good luck getting a piece of cake. During the hour I waited (yes, an hour), walk-ins kept asking where they were on the list. No one had answers, and these folks were NOT happy campers. Honestly, it was like a medical office meets Survivor: Waiting Room Edition. lol. (Yes, I love Survivor!) I really try and only write positive reviews on Yelp. Been to this location twice. The first time they didn't collect accurate labs ordered so I had to return for another draw. Uninformative, unprofessional staff. Walk ins are welcome but they treat you like they can't see you knowing you been waiting over an hour. The staff needs to learn to how to communicate with waiting patients. A kind enough patient suggested to go on line because they still had appointments. I asked the nurse (Pauline) what time I could be seen and she couldn't give me a time frame. She never bothered to say check on line , appointments might still be available. All she said was .. " I DONT KNOW WHEN YOU'LL BE SEEN" That's when a patient was kind of enough to suggest making the on line appointment.. luckily I got an appointment just 20 minute after the Pauline told me she couldn't help me with any information. Just comes to show the staff lacks efficiency and professionalism. Pauline tried drawing my blood and failed. Not only does she lack customer service skills but but, lacks the skill to draw blood on small veins. She wanted me to come back another day after waiting for almost 3 hours. Smooth process overall. Checked in for my appointment at the kiosk and was called in shortly. Sal helped me out and he was quick and efficient. Horrible experience. If I could rate this place a -1 star I totally would. The type of care they provide is worse than soggy cereal that's been left outside in the sun for days. The "care" quality is HORRIBLE. My office experience was also horrible. They do not take the time to run your insurance prior so they charge you a fee upfront and then send you back out to WAIT for another slot later on in the day. read more

The customer service of Quest Diagnostics is trash. It was my fault that I forgot my paper order and was late for about 20 minutes. I asked one of the phlebotomist if it would be a problem to still do bloodwork for being 20 minutes late and she instantly gave me an annoyed look and said she had no control over any appointments because everything is done online/automated. I had to do a breath test and my doctor recommended this place. I made an appointment online and they had a lot of availability. The location was easy to find and ample parking. Upon entering the building, the building is very quiet. Quest diagnostics is located on the 2nd floor and they had a kiosk to check in. The wait time was no longer than 5 minutes. The first time I came here they didn't have my test but they told me to reschedule my appointment and come in the following week. I scheduled an appointment for the following week and they had my test. I was able to check in on my phone the second time and I waited no more than 2 minutes. The ladies here who take your blood or lab work are super nice. They really try to get you to get in and put. It is a small area but they are very efficient: I would definitely come here again if I need to do future lab work. read more

Should have read the reviews before scheduling a lab here. Booked appointment online. Checked in online as I always do for my other quest lab appointment. Walked in didn't see my name on the board so I checked in again in clinic. Between the time my appt was and a lab tech came out 15 min passed and my name was not on board so I inquired. She was rude and said if we call your name twice and you are not here we move on. In 5 min walking from parking lot to lab that must've happened. She said you are stand by now. I didn't hear any name call and she said she heard it and had an attitude. Mind you no one comes out and I waited 15 min after my appt time before someone did. So she said well it's pretty late after your appointment time. Of course it looks late to you I've been waiting and no one has come out in 15min! I'm a little confused by all the negative reviews regarding this facility. I showed up at 7:50am with a 8:00am appointment - checked in at the kiosk and took a seat. Within 5 mins I was called in, had my info verified, blood drawn and urine sample done in about 10 mins. The staff were polite, efficient and had zero problem with the procedure. I know everyone's experience can vary, but it was about as easy as could be on my end. Yes, it's a bit of an older building and it's on the 2nd floor at the end of the hall - but none of this should really matter. I would recommend this location. read more

Genuine question to quest management. Do you stress your workers out so bad that they are miserable by giving them an unfriendly work environment and unrealistic expectations? Or are they just rude and miserable and intolerant by nature? From now on I will have my docs send lab orders elsewhere. Ugh.... Setting up an appointment was quick and easy so that was a plus. They send email and text confirmations. The entrance to the location is a bit hard to find as it is on the back side not facing the street. Then you have to take an elevator to the 2nd floor and walk to the back of the building. They sent a link earlier in the day for the check in process. Click the link and take a seat, you don't have to check in with a live person. The wait was about 10 minutes so that was reasonable. They called me and we went to a back room to have a seat. I know the drill, they always have a hard time finding a vein to draw blood. Also, I can't watch, I have to look away, it's just my thing but I still feel all of it. This is where everything went downhill. She prepped the left arm, did her thing and put a band aid on it. I was getting ready to leave and she said, wait, I didn't get any blood. I was thinking what? You were in there long enough! She then tried the right arm. She's there moving around, rubbing, poking, the works, right? Then puts a band aid and says she didn't draw any blood. She asked if I wanted to come back or have someone else try. At this point, both arms are in pain and I'm upset. I just left. That just ruined my day. So now I'm dead since she can't find blood. Thanks. I did see the reviews on here and should have listened, but this location was more convenient and you would THINK someone who draws blood all day would know what they are doing.... Horrible. I checked in both my kids. One kid had an appointment at 12:30, but I couldn't register my second kid for the same time slot. So I went an hour early hoping to check in my other kid in as a walk - in. After checking both kids in I had to wait over 1 hour to get service. They said they only had 1 kid checked in. Even though I checked in both kids. She then wanted me to proceed to check in again even after acknowledging that her computer system had an error. I must say, I was preparing for a difficult time based on some of the reviews I've been reading. Honesty, I was pleasantly surprised. I showed up as a walk on. No appointment. Expecting to be turned away or wait a few hours before I got service. Not even close. I showed up, dude in the front was totally helpful. Asked me to sign in on the kiosk. Which I did. Kiosk prompted the questions. Which I answered. Waited my turn. 10 minutes tops. In and out. Nurse took my blood. I was out faster than I knew it. What more can I ask for a diagnostic location? BAD EXPERIENCE: The phlebotomists was very rude! He said I had to pay him $35 or he could not take blood. Then I said Ok, I'll just go to LabCorp he said he would change something in his computer and it would be OK. Then he took my blood. I had to digitally sign on some kind of a black pad. He did not explain anything about this procedure except to say sign here. Good thing I said NO and that I was going to LabCorp or I'm sure I would be out the money. The office and building look dirty. I Could not use the elevator because it smelled so bad. I had to get out and at 88 years old climb the stairs to Quest Labs on 2nd Fl offices on Termino Ave. LB. Two stars because I made an appointment, was taken, and got out within 20 minutes. This location is located within an old dilapidated medical building that is absolutely disgusting. The whole office just felt dirty and gross. Walk in and you have to use a touch screen to check in. They make you place your ID and Insurance card on a platform underneath the scanner and it takes images of your cards. Then, you have to wait your turn. I waited about 5 minutes and was called. The lady was yelling at me calling my name and was asking where my MD order was. I had it in hand and handed it to her. She then wanted my insurance card again, yet I just scanned it into their machine. So why does the check-in kiosk scan your insurance card and save an image of it, only for them to be asking to see your insurance card again? Makes no sense and very inconvenient. She then takes me in the back for the blood draw. The chair that you sit in for the procedure looked like it hand't been wiped down in 10 years! Dirty, filthy, appalling to say the least. The lady drawing my blood (Maria T.) was yelling at me when she talked. Asking me to confirm my name and DOB. Then she did the blood draw. I love how Quest Diagnostic phlebotomists assume the patient sitting in the chair knows nothing about this basic procedure. Everyone in the business knows, you don't wipe the area with an alcohol pad, then poke the area with your gloved finger before inserting the needle. Well, Maria T wiped the area with the alcohol pad, poked it, then proceeded to wave her hand to fan the area dry before inserting the needle! Good grief! Everyone knows that you DON'T do that! It completely contaminates the site. Please realize that the patient you are about to poke could be in the business and knows better! After the blood draw was complete, I had blood pooling all over the gauze, then Maria had me sign on a digital signature pad before leaving. Who knows how many people have touched that thing! Insurance hassle. No help. Just pay. Surely this is covered by insurance but there is no help on how to file Orr even paperwork.

Went in for a blood draw/screening. It's in a very old building, in the second floor. I had an appointment at 7:20 but went right when they opened. There's a tablet used to check-in and I had issues scanning my license so I skipped that part and it still let me check-in. I was seen within 5 minutes since not many other people were there yet. They were very quick with the blood draw and I was pretty much in and out. My arm hurt for a few hours after but I'm a wimp when it comes to these things. The clinic was overall clean. I walked in without an appointment and was called back within 10 minutes. Everyone was friendly and professional. The waiting area is on the smaller side with a few chairs spaced out but we were also given an option to wait in our cars and receive a text when it was our turn. Candee took care of me and she was fantastic. I was lucky that there was no wait. Candee was very gentle, I barely felt the needle go in my arm, and I didn't get a bruise afterwards either. I go to Quest all the time, and this is one of the worst. I always schedule appointments, and I'm usually in and out with no issues, even when there is a room full of walk-ins. My appointment was for 10:45 AM. That is when I arrived. About 7 people ahead of us, two of which had appointments. The others were walk-ins. The guy at the front (in one of the pictures someone posted) processed everything serially. So it didn't matter if you had an appointment or not. An appointment was useless...first come first served. On top of that, the only other phlebotomist there took her time chatting with every client. 10 minutes worth with one client, and I know she was done doing the blood draw. I'm all for friendly service, but after you're done drawing blood, it's time to move on and stop talking about your kids. Especially when you have a waiting room full of patients who have been waiting for about 45 minutes, which is how long it took for me, even with my dubious appointment. I asked for a butterfly and she said she had another needle that was the same gauge and she pulled out a gigantic needle that was three times the size of the butterfly. I freaked out because I recognized it wasn't the same size as a butterfly and she tossed it and went for a butterfly. Please don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining!!! read more

I give quest diagnostics five stars for a speedy blood draw, but because I was harassed by the female parking attendant with a middle eastern accent, this place gets zero stars too. On average they get a score of three. Let me tell you my story.. it might happen to you, so beware. Today on July 7 I drove past the kiosk to get to the parking garage when the female parking attendant ran after me, yelling at me to stop. She had the audacity to inquire what business I had to be on the property. (Its a medical building. I'm not there for grocery shopping.) Obviously I had an appointment. For me it was with quest diagnostics and I told her that. Well when I walked out if my car the harassment didn't end there. She called security to escort me into the hospital, which she said I had to go, and that is no where near my destination of 1760 termino, suite 200. Her harrassment caused me to be delayed for my appointment and worst of all it left me feeling oppressed and abused. I was wearing sweat pants, a t-shirt and tennis shoes. My car was well kept and clean. Why was I subjected to harassment? I never want to visit this place again. I'm looking for an alternate location if I ever need blood drawn again. Small lab on the 2nd floor. If you're coming off the elevator, when you come to the long hallway, you make a left and walk to the end. It's the last door on your right. I had an appointment around 1pm and was able to sign in with my code on the kiosk. Was then called in for my blood draw within 5 minutes. Very friendly front desk and lab technicians. No receptionist to help you check in on the kiosk, the phlebotomists are very rude, they don't let you get a word in. They are very unknowledgeable as well. She palpitated for my vein, thinking she got it. When she inserted the needle she wasn't able to get any blood she started fishing for my vein, something you not suppose to do. The only reason they get two stars is for how quickly I was called in without an appointment since walk ins are welcome. I came to this location because it was the closest to my place, next time I would rather go to a further location to get better patient care. read more
