This was my 2nd visit to this office of Labcorp. I have never had a bad experience with any of…read moretheir other locations until this one. My 1st visit last year and the visit today made me very angry and frustrated at how unprofessional a medical office can be. During both visits they could not find the fax that my doctor had sent over for the test. I had called multiple times for both visits and could not get thru..left messages and got no call backs to confirm they had my orders. The staff didn't express any concern or remore and just blamed the doctor and me for not calling. I went to UCHealth Labs as a walkin and they had me in and out in 5 minutes and the experience was so professional and I felt they cared. I thought the staff at Labcorp seemed like a lowclass medical office....just pushing people thru like cattle. I will NEVER go to this office again. It's like a "sh_tshow".

Honestly, how is LabCorp still in business? I don't care which facility you go to, it's clear that…read morethe staff cannot focus on their job because there are too few of them - I even had someone in the middle of a blood draw excuse herself to answer the phone once! About half the time they blow out my veins if they can even find them and I leave with bruises; and a couple of times when I've told them I have small veins and they might want a butterfly needle I've been snapped at because "they know what they're doing". But worst of all is the fact that recently, their website has just stopped working, and you can click a million links without getting a chance to make an appointment. Not that it matters in a way, since you're going to be waiting forever no matter what! They're pretty much the only game in town, so this is a great opportunity for someone to start a functional business that actually treats patients like they give a damn. It's inexcusable for any business to be this consistently bad, but especially when people rely on them for their health!

Aside from the wrong address on Google, very pleased. Since my son was diagnosed we have been to…read moredozens of labs dozens of times each. Labcorp (we've used five locations) is consistently the worst, quest (we've used three locations) is better but not usually covered by our insurance, and CLS (we've used two locations) is the best. We have never had problems at CLS that are common for Labcorp. Labcorp screws up a lab at least once every other visit - granted my son gets a lot of labs, but they are terrible. CLS has yet to screw up any of his labs and we've been there consistently for a while now. They have been professional, prompt, and communicative. It's almost as good as Children's Hospital main campus (NOT Parker which is Labcorp quality) for a fraction of the cost. Hard to find. Google sent me to the Admin Office on Union. The lab is in the Anthony's complex but not on the side with parking. It is around the back of the building (enter off Alameda & Routt). I spent an hour trying to find the lab. The staff was very proficient once I did. I was surprised the admin staff said that people come to their office all the time, yet they don't correct their address on google.

AS IS TYPICAL FOR ALL WELLNESS EXAMS, I FILLED OUT THEIR FORMS, I WAS WEIGHED, THEY TOOK MY BLOOD PRESSURE, AND I LET THE DOCTOR KNOW I WAS IN MENOPAUSE WHEN HE ASKED GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT MY HEALTH. THEIR LETTER STATES THAT DISCUSSING THESE THINGS NECESSITATES A $165 FEE (A NEW PATIENT FEE) AND THAT I AM BEING CHARGED THIS FEE BECAUSE I AM UNDERWEIGHT AND IN MENOPAUSE...I HAVE CONTACTED DORA AND AM NOW CONTACTING AN ATTORNEY (THE ATTORNEY I HAVE THROUGH MY EMPLOYER REVIEWED THE LETTER AND SAID IT LOOKS BAD FOR COMMON SPIRIT). COMMON SPIRIT--REMOVE THIS $165 FEE--I SHOULD NOT BE BILLED EXTRA FOR COMING IN, FOLLOWING ALL OF YOUR DIRECTIONS, FILLING OUT YOUR FORMS, AND ANSWERING THE DOCTOR'S QUESTIONS. THIS IS PRICE-GOUGING AND YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR IT. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHARGE PATIENTS EXTRA DUE TO RACE OR AGE. AND IF YOU WISH TO CHARGE EXTRA FEES, YOU MUST DISCLOSE THIS TO PATIENTS AHEAD OF TIME. HERE ARE DETAILS OF WHAT I EXPERIENCED... I booked an appointment for a routine physical with Dr. Mahoney. That is all I wanted or needed--a physical and basic bloodwork. At no time did anyone let me know verbally or in writing that there is a fee to establish care despite my letting them know that my insurance only covers a physical once/year (everything else falls under a very high deductible). At first, Dr. Mahoney was nice and knowledgeable although he appeared to be jacked up on something...then he was pretty unprofessional and also dropped the ball on a requested test. This is the first doctor's visit in which the nurse did not ask me to put on a gown and I did not get a physical (just my blood pressure taken by the nurse and Dr. Mahoney "listened" to my heartbeat" while talking incessantly about how his mother-in-law takes testosterone which makes women aggressive. I did not ask about testosterone nor do I have any interest in it so I found it strange that he talked about it for a long time. He also told me that he cleaned another patient's ear out ("the son of a cardiologist") and made him bleed so that patient was annoyed with him (a legal expert told me that the doctor sharing this could be considered a HIPPA violation...). I asked for a urinalysis to be done with my bloodwork and left a urine sample which was never completed and to date nobody can tell me how it was forgotten although Dr. Mahoney admitted writing that he "forgot." When I explained that my health insurance would not cover me coming back to do it at another time as they suggested, nobody cared or offered a solution. When I received a questionnaire about my experience, I left honest feedback. I spoke with their Patient Representative, Keoni, who told me she had never heard about a new patient fee and that I would not have to pay it. (I brought it up because I read another one-star review from a patient who mentioned it.) Despite that, I have now received a bill from Common Spirit--a new patient fee for $165 to "establish care" that my insurance will not cover. Since I am not going to return to this practice due to gross incompetence, negligence, and unprofessionalism, I am NOT going to pay it. I have called the Patient Representative line several times, left messages, and apparently Keani or anyone else cannot be reached. I can only get one physical/year and this one was a waste of my time and it puts my health in jeopardy. In fact, I will be demanding that I get a full refund back to my insurance for this awful and stressful visit. My recommendation is that people avoid this place unless you have money to burn and do not care about your health and wish to be treated poorly. For starters, Common Spirit should be transparent about their new patient fee or any additional fees. I would not have come here at all if I had known about it. How would you like to go out to dinner, order food and then get a bill that includes the charge for your meal + a "new diner" fee? Nobody would like that. It's underhanded, corrupt, greedy, and sleazy! If you wish to charge this, then be transparent about it from the get-go! Please also note that CommonSpirit only seems to allow 5-star reviews of their doctors on their website which IMO is misleading and unethical. Shame on this medical practice and facility. I have filed a formal complaint with DORA and will be filing more with every other consumer/government agency I can. I will also be calling an attorney if they insist I pay the new patient fee that was never disclosed to me when booking the appointment for what turned out to be a terrible physical at a facility I would never trust again. Shame on Keani--she is their Patient Representative and is very disingenuous. She offers no help at all and summarizes what you share with her by spinning it against the patient and for Common Spirit (no surprise there).

I am not taking any long-term medications, but I have PSA tests yearly. I'm a 78-year-old male. I saw a PA, Tess Henderson, who recommended the drug Prolia/Denosumab. I never saw an MD, and her recommendation did not account for my osteopenia rather than osteoporosis. The drug is not effective for osteopenia. Some of the side effects, both mild and serious, pose severe health risks. There was no discussion of the risks, especially kidney damage, and I have only one functioning kidney. Ms. Henderson was asked to determine the cost of the drug treatment (a lifetime treatment you cannot stop easily) and to let me know the patient's cost. I have yet to hear anything from Ms. Henderson regarding the co-pay. Blue Cross and Blue Shield initially denied the treatment. Without my consent or knowledge, Ms. Henderson requested a second review. Blue Cross and Blue Shield approved the drug treatment based on information resubmitted. There was no explanation for the change in the drug's approval. I I have tried to meet with the manager at Neurosurgery One. He declined my request without any explanation (no return phone call). I have also tried to obtain information from Blue Cross, but to no avail. Ms. Henderson, in my opinion, is practicing medicine without a license. I firmly believe that Neurosurgery One allows this type of practice. Under no circumstances should anyone become a patient of Neurosurgery One. It's a terrible practice, and no MD will be available when needed. Please don't go there because you may be putting your future health at risk. MDs do not supervise the NPs, allowing NPs to practice medicine without a license. MDs must be required to consult with patients and not abandon their practice of medicine by allowing Nurse Practitioners to make major medical decisions.
