The service at this location is absolutely unacceptable. I came in as a walk-in patient, was calmly filling out my form, and simply waiting to add my insurance card. Out of nowhere, a staff member stormed out, raised her voice at me, and accused me of not "doing it correctly" -- without once asking if I needed help or clarification. When I explained that I was just waiting for my insurance card, she continued to speak to me harshly and dismissively before walking away to sit on her phone instead of offering assistance. This type of unprofessional, disrespectful behavior is the reason I chose to take my care elsewhere. If you want to be treated with basic courtesy and respect as a patient, I do not recommend this center. read more

Great onsite staff. Horrible customer service. They make you pay ahead of time on the phone before you get there or know anything about them - it feels like a scam. Used the in-office kiosk, entered my info, then they pushed me to the website where I entered info again, twice. No indication of the payment, vague indications of the appointment. Horrible horrible horrible customer service experience. But I've already paid so I'm riding it out. If someone from Quest wants to contact me, I'd looooove to talk with you. Again, the onsite staff is just doing their job. It's not their fault. It's "nobody's" fault except the vague online "them". I'm sure the CEO makes a ton of money, is quite proud of himself, and tells jokes about patients at country club cocktail parties. Is it fundamentally worse than other healthcare? I had an appointment for 9:40am to get blood drawn. I checked in online at 9:42 and sat down in the waiting area. Not even 2 minutes after that they called my name, and by 9:50 I was already back in my car! Shaniqua was great, I barely even felt a pinch. The office looked very clean. 10/10 would recommend. To avoid all the issues I see mentioned in other reviews, I suggest you set up an appointment online and avoid the hassle of waiting as a walk-in. read more

My medically fragile husband's home healthcare nurse recently took a urine specimen for a suspected UTI on a Tuesday morning. As of the next Monday morning, the results are still "pending". In the meantime, he had to be taken to the emergency room where they determined that yes, he does have a UTI among other things. SIX DAYS FOR STILL "PENDING" IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! read more

The nice lady that drew my blood was great. However Quest lost my blood samples or mixed them up and were unable to run my lab tests. To make it worst, they didn't inform me of my blood work being lost. It was my doctor's office. I've tried to speak to someone at Quest company to learn what happened but no luck so far. read more

Chose the closest Quest location to drop off a medical sample. The waiting room was very, very crowded and there was no one at the front reception desk, so there was no way to get information except to try to ask questions to the techs who came out briefly, called the name and then quickly retreated to the back. The customer service was nonexistent and people had to wait whether they were having a procedure or just dropping something off. There needs to be someone at reception to explain the whole procedure and give accurate information. Was told the wait was over an hour, simply to drop some thing off. So drove to another location and its waiting room was empty. It was able to talk to an actual receptionist and complete the task in a reasonable amount of time but at Memorial Hermann location the Quest Diagnostics lab is awful. Apparently Quest has decided that having people wait like cattle call and process through a pad in the waiting room is sufficient customer service. It is not. I will not use Quest in the future and will ask physicians for an alternate lab company. read more

THIS QUEST REFLECTS POORLY ON MEMORIAL HERMANN FOR BEING ASSOCIATED. Avoid this location at all cost. I've made two appointments here, first one I tried purchasing a test from their website and went in for it. They said my doctor has to send the order... why is it an option to buy the test from Quest then? 2nd appointment, today, doctors office says they sent my lab order yesterday. I try calling every number associated with this Quest location to CONFIRM that my lab order is there prior to me showing up. THEY DON'T HAVE A WORKING PHONE so I'm forced to show up in person and wouldn't ya know? Quest Staff says NO LAB ORDER AND CONFIRMED THEY DONT HAVE A PHONE YOU CAN CALL, so your only way of knowing if your lab order is there is by showing up in person. I immediately called my doctors office and they confirmed twice that they sent the orders over. I turned around and asked to speak to the manager at Quest, Eva, and boy you'd have a tough time finding someone with a worse attitude. Well Eva looked through their fax and I had TWO ORDERS sitting in their system dating back to July. It's nobody's fault but Quest staff but Eva is going to treat you like it's your fault and then threaten to not do the tests because you left your appointment earlier due to wrongly being told the lab orders aren't there. From there, you'll want to be quiet and do your best to put up with Eva's awful customer service skills and lack of bedside manner until the visit is complete. I literally just walked out the door and have to give the highest compliments to Eva (I hope I got her name right). I have a huge fear of needles and tend to have panic attacks when giving blood. I certainly hate having to put that on whoever is taking my blood. I literally sat down, and within what seemed like seconds the blood work was complete, and I hardly felt a thing. I had to have some blood work done at Quest so I called customer service to see if they could also do a Genova NutrEval blood draw. I was told yes. I went this morning to the location on Studemont and the phlebotomist there told me no they could not they do not do it. She said they only have the tests that are limited in their system. I told her that I was told by corporate office that I could have it done there and I was told by Genova Labs that I could have it done anywhere. They should not tell people they can do things they will not do. read more

I've been here multiple times for labs without appointments, and it has always been a very smooth experience for me. I've always gone in the morning at opening and the longest I've waited was 5 mins. Friendly staff and no issues with getting labs. I am a notoriously difficult stick by the way. Can't get much better than that! Shouldn't an establishment that's responsible for drawing blood have employees that know how to draw blood? Wouldn't that be the absolute minimum requirement to work here? The hag that drew my blood very clearly hated her life and her job. Tattoos all over her hands and fingers. She didn't even sterilize my skin before inserting the needle. If Quest can't hire competent employees, at least hire someone that has some sense of customer service. Massive bruising and swelling after draw. I am NEVER coming to this Quest ever again. I've been turned away TWICE in one day, both times they cited paperwork. I got my doctor's office to revise the orders then when I came back they said I needed to have them printed. They COULD HAVE told me this the first time I came in. There was no receptionist either time I came in and the woman I've been dealing with, Theresa, is a special kind of rude. Zero offer to help, puts all of the blame on the patient and zero transparency...she's only there to collect a pay check. This is so beyond unacceptable. Not transparent about prices ("we will bill you later"; "no charges for you today") but then they send you bills charging exorbitant rates, much higher than standard or average market rates. The nearby Memorial Hermann Convenience Center, which refers to this Quest Diagnostics, is equally vague about prices ("We are separate, so we can't tell you the charges."). After not being transparent or upfront about the prices for a genetic test (for one marker) that the doctor had ordered, got a bill for about $300. 23andme can give you the full raw genome for $99. A good way to fleece people who may have high-deductible insurance, or may not have insurance. Bottom line: lack of transparency, failure to disclose prices upfront, and exorbitant rates. I usually go to the Quest near my home in Humble or Kingwood but decided to use a location near my office today. The Westmont location in 77015 zip code was the location I chose and will not be back. I checked in a few minutes after 1 (1:04) for a 1 o'clock appointment and was left waiting with no other patients and for no apparent reason. The tech came out and asked it I had an appointment and looked at her watch then went to the back. Another patient came in after me and was brought back by the staff. Once brought to the back for blood work the tech wanted to discuss a $15 balance on my account before drawing blood. I have never had the lab bring up a balance at time of blood draw. I felt like the technician was trying to give me a hard time. Of course, I paid it (that was not a problem) it was just odd and a first in my years of dealing with Quest. Although, I located the order in the system when I set up my appointment, they could not locate it. I attached it to the appointment when I set the appointment up online. The tech said she could use an old order in the system from January and proceeded with the collection of blood. I will not use this location again and do not recommend them. I felt like I was experiencing reverse racism and very uncomfortable. I have had a very good experience with friendly staff at the Humble and Kingwood locations, so I was very surprised to receive such poor service. read more

I have always had a positive experience at this location, but that changed today. Up until this month, you could make an appointment and show up at any time. I was just there in November and that is exactly what I did. To note, I have always had great customer service. On this visit, I arrived at 8:50 (they open at 8:00) and the people in the back were chatting for a good 15 minutes before they waited on anyone. The waiting room had filled up with six people before they started calling names. I patiently waited 40+ minutes and watched while everyone else was waited on including those who came in after me. I finally asked where I was in the queue and was told that I would be serviced at 10:00 for my 10:00 appointment. I asked when this had changed and was told that had "always" been the policy. It hasn't since I've been going to this and other locations for years. Even worse, all three people made no apology and no attempt to accommodate me. They told me I would need to wait another 30 minutes to my appointment time. Maybe if they weren't so busy chatting, they could have done my draw in a timely manner. Maybe if I had come in as a walk-in, I would have gotten service faster. There were at least two who came in as walk-ins while I was there who were served before me. All in all, this new "policy" is bad and the staff at this location needs to be turned over quickly as they are more interested in chatting than serving the customers. I left since I was not letting these terrible people come close to me. I've called my doctor to send my labs to another vendor. I don't have time for a company who doesn't have time for me and certainly won't be adding to their bottom line. Of course, if Quest were to contact me and apologize for the bad service and explain the policy change, I might reconsider. read more

I normally don't write reviews. This was my first time here. I didn't realize it would be inside a different building (not labeled quest) but after I went in it was easy to find the room. I was nervous because of the bad reviews and I was 10 minutes late so I wasn't exactly setting myself up for success. Check in was super easy and the waiting room was clean. When a worker came out to get a patient she let me know to keep my ID and Insurance out (I had it out while I was checking in) because she would need it again. The same worker called me back after waiting for about 10 minutes (way less than I was expecting). She was super personable, kind, and informative. The other worker seemed nice as well. I didn't interact with her as much but could hear her talking with the other worker and a patient. The care here exceeded my expectations but also exceeded my care at most other medical facilities, if not all. I will definitely be back. read more

Came to this PSC to drop off a specimen. Never been to one that didn't have a fax machine. This is a normal procedure for doctors to fax orders over. All the techs was very rude. Went somewhere else to print out the req. Tech did not know how to read the req. All the information that's needed is on the req. Tech got upset and said she could not accept the specimen because she did not know how to read the req. Everyone needs to be trained correctly, fire the whole crew and get new techs. Worst PSC I've ever been to. Been working as a Phleb for over 8 years. So sad. read more

Once I was finally admitted to the back for my previously scheduled appointment I was told the did not have the test lit necessary and I should try another location. Will never be going to a quest again after the kind of treatment I got here. They had no receptionist and took 20 minutes to help me even though I was the only patient in the entire office. Turns out the woman on duty was talking to a friend in the back while I was waiting. Once I was finally helped, the woman refused to fulfill my lab request from my phone and said I needed to have it printed at office max, even though all the information she needed was on my phone and I offered to email it to her so she could print it with the printer that was RIGHT next to her and she refused. Very disorganized. Walked in, registered on iPad and board listed me with a 11 min wait. Waited 30 min, then board changed my wait time to 17 min. No receptionist, all done thru auto sign in. No one appeared to care who is there or how long they have waited. Finally after knocking on the door to the exam area, a live person told me they were understaffed. After 1.5 hours they called me in and even though I had signed in with all my info, I was THEN told they couldn't find my order. It was MY responsibility to call my Doctor and clear it up. I went down to my car and called my doctor. After talking to them I went back to the waiting room ONLY to see they had put me at the bottom of the wait board. I NEEDED my blood work or I would have left. 3 hours after I arrived, I was done. I will request a different company should I need more. Refuse to go back to that mess. Someone needs to take charge of this office. Not sure I can trust the results of the tests at this point.
