I arrived at this location within 20 or 30 minutes of signing up on the website and when I arrived, there were a couple of customers already waiting to do whatever tests they needed to get done. Even though I had faxed the appointment through the website, I brought a hard copy print out just in case the fax never came through. I probably waited another 15-20 minutes before it was my turn. The phlebotomist who was also the receptionist asked me to go back into the testing room where she asked me to sit down. She started with my left arm, doing the typical blood draw things: rubber around the arm, looking for the vein, etc, etc. But you know what, after MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS of jabbing that goddamn needle in my veins and MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS of poking my arm and wiggling the needle in my arm, she wasn't able to draw blood. Like, she did, but it wasn't nearly as enough for the test. So you know what she did? She moved to my right arm. No apologies, no explanations, no words, no anything. She just moved to the right arm and started the whole process over again - this time it was a success. Like bruh, do you do this to all the patients or what? She gave me a cup to pee in and point me at the bathroom and told me where to put the cup after I was done. I went inside, did my thing, came out, and she was nowhere to be found. I put the cup where she told me to, walked out the room, and left without ever seeing her again (I wanted to ask when I could expect to get the results). I got the results the following day!! THIS was one of the only good things about this place - the quick turnaround, with the other being the affordable cost. Everything else? MEH. I hope the next time I come here, it'll be some other phlebotomist who's going to be doing the draw. Otherwise, I'd just drive a little further and find another location.

His customer service was minimal, and he showed very little courtesy toward patients. While I was waiting, I also witnessed him interrupt an older lady before she could even finish saying her name, abruptly asking for her ID instead. It came across as rude and unprofessional. Fortunately, not everything about my visit was negative. The CT technologist who performed my exam, Forest (like the movie), was outstanding. He was friendly, patient, professional, and very communicative. He explained every step of the procedure, made sure I felt comfortable, and found my vein on the very first attempt, which is usually very difficult. His professionalism and kindness completely changed my experience for the better. The front desk staff creates the first impression of a medical facility, and I hope they receive additional training in customer service and professionalism. On the other hand, Forest deserves recognition for providing exceptional patient care. He is a great asset to this facility.

I recently suffered a compound open ankle fracture due to an accident caused by a driver who ran a…read morered light. A week into my recovery, the wrap covering my leg from knee to toes began to come loose -- something my doctor said could be carefully re-wrapped, but which would be extremely difficult for me to manage on my own due to the extent of my injuries. I came to OnPoint, expecting to receive a few minutes of basic assistance and was stunned when the clerk conferred with the medical staff and informed me that re-wrapping is "not something they get involved with." When I said that I found it hard to believe they would prefer I go home and attempt this myself rather than offer minimal help, I received only a shrug. Since I can't drive myself -- it is my right ankle that is broken -- I had to arrange to be be taken to AFC Urgent Care on Weslayan, where the staff took a few moments to assess my situation and re-wrapped the loosened area without hesitation. They even invited me to return if the wrap should come loose again before my follow-up appointment. I understand urgent care facilities have limitations, but refusing to spend five minutes assisting a patient with a serious fracture -- particularly one who cannot simply drive herself elsewhere -- reflects poorly on this practice. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend OnPoint to anyone in a vulnerable sitution.
