Not sure why this location has such negative reviews, it's the best lab I've been to! Super easy to validate your parking and I was in and out within ten minutes. Very nice staff and clean office. Quick, efficient service. Yes the building is old and in need of a facelift but that does not keep this location from operating appropriately. My lab technician was very friendly and fast for some routine bloodwork. In terms of COVID practices they have online check in where you wait in your car until you get a text and have plenty of hand sanitizer available once inside. Masks and social distancing are required of course. Parking is free in a garage located next door to the medical tower. Very easy to access. read more

I won't comment on this particular location , but I do want to warn people about another location hidden within a practice at1001 Studewood (also the Heights). if you search for Labcorp on DUck Duck Go, this is the first Labcorp you will see. if will redirect you to the general Labcorp site. if you try to schedule an appointment, this location is not even mentioned. So....I found this odd and seeing that it just a few blocks away, I went to investigate. There is a big sign when you get to the office "Only for patients of Methodist Primary Care Group". "Gto the one on 20th street" - which is disgusting, btw. Something seems very sketchy about this. it's a situation with a captive provider, ripe for kickbacks. My new corporate overlord invited me to swing by this location and micturate all over one of the lab's finest cups, like I was R Kelly and the cup was about the same age as a cup. You never really know how you do in job interviews but apparently my file was marked "might do heroin, but also possibly might not???" or something like that. So before my job offer became official the lab needed to test mein urine for various sundries and fundries (such as Omar Little's West Baltimore hair-on and charmed I'm sure Gil Faizon's Upper West Side cuh-cain) before coming to legitimately employ me. This was the first time I ventured out of the trap house into a building I had to be inside (masked) for 30+ minutes as a serious covid risk potential in nearly a year given the pandemic so I was not sure what to expect in terms of parking outside. Given the infection numbers where Houston has literally every single aggressive international covid variant recorded worldwide (USA #1!!!!!!) I assumed that the other maroons that surround me in H town Till we Drown/Freeze have basically not given up going to the bars unmasked and picking up toothless but randy hookers down at the bus stop to stem the tide of a deadly pandemic that has claimed well over 500,000 American lives to this point. This is a class FFF old crusty building first of all. The elevator is at least 100 years old, she would only look nice and new to push up on if you were Gollum, the Golem of Prague, or my main man JC and his lower case t he rides like a magic carpet. If this was a victorian-era child rather than an elevator it would cough up tuberculosis blood all over its puffy shirt and then ask for a piece of salt water taffy, like the first draft of Oliver Twist. It creaks going up 3 inches at a time like Casper the Ghost is weeping for his ancestors and that ghost ain't exactly a new kid on the block if you catch my drift. There are no covid precaution placards anywhere in this piece of shit building which really bothered me a year+ on in the pandemic now - even the McDonalds where people get routinely stabbed on Main Street figured out that placard on the ground bidness, even if the stabbers and stabbees read the placard but then choose not to honour the six feet distance as they do their intimate but bloody dance. After waiting ten minutes for the pathetic elevator to creak down a few flights to ground level it opened in a haze of 100 years of neglected dust fog and there were no placards on six feet distance, and six people just crammed into the elevator like there was no deadly pandemic. In the last corporate environment I was in almost a year ago, moving fast whilst masked, they limited the whole ass elevator to two people at a time and there were floor placards and door placards to match there. Not so at this piece of shit building where in addition to it being a dirty ass building you might get hepatitis in just by looking at it, they also want you to roll the dice on whether you catch the Trump-AIDS (covid) from the fellow assholes also there for drug testing and other things - many of the people passing through here have been in prison as recently as this morning, which makes everyone a super covid risk since there is no open window, it is an enclosed space, and in this crusty ass building you can be sure there were no frills spent on adequate ventilation to mitigate transmission concerns. This lab's waiting room is intended to be big enough for six people. There will always be more than six people because these people didn't even attempt to honour social distancing in the elevator, and some of them probably are on a schedule to whizz in a cup for their probation officer or they will get in prison-type trouble or worse. Labcorp's website sucks and does not allow you to legitimately book an appointment since it was coded by someone's 12.9 year old nephew who isn't so good at internet, so everyone is a walk-in customer since they had the same experience you did with a website that does not work no matter how much you swear at it and threaten it with victorian-era fisticuffs and other war crimes you would gladly do unto it under the AUMF because it is your American right. You are mixing with people who have serious deadly illness, who have been ordered by their corporate overlord for drug test, who need a drug test for probation for criminal related issues, and other things like people getting a covid test. This is not a safe space at all. Had I risked getting covid germs and other miscellaneous cooties all over the Hello Kitty lunchbox, I would have been clutching it tightly throughout this entire hellscape ordeal, same as walking down a dark alley on a stormy night in the Bronx whilst wearing my BABY SLUT baseball tee first popularized by Tituss Burgess. I've used Labcorp in Abilene, Texas and they were awesome. The young lady at this office could use quite a few clues. So condescending and snotty. She acted like I was bothering her because I was there before she unlocked the door. Sorry, I have a job that I need to get to ..... after she checked me in (I used a kiosk) she took me back to draw my blood. Wow, she totally stabbed me. I told her she could use some work on her needle sticks. She sneered and me and let me find my own way out. Yep, I went the wrong way but finally found my way out. Nervous to go here because of the reviews. I was unable to make appointment online ahead of time because they were all booked which again made me hesitant to come to this location because I was afraid there would be a long wait time, but I was in the area and needed to get my labs done so I went to check it out as a walk in. Just now leaving this poorly run office location. I utilized their Covid-friendly check in process where I sent a message from my car that I had arrived at my appointment time. I received a text indicating to wait in my car until texted for me to come into the office. I received the message to come into waiting room and that would my name would be called. There was no one available in person at the window. After 40 minutes of waiting in the waiting room (entirely defeating the Covid-friendly check in) someone came out to receive a package. I asked about my appointment. They indicate they didn't receive notifications from their system that I had arrived. They didn't care that I had been waiting or that their system wasn't working. I tried to show her the email and the text for the process and she wasn't interested say "I don't know about any of that". I indicated this same problem could happen to others and she again dismissed me. read more

Graham was my phlebotomist and he was courteous and gentle and professional. He was respectful and efficient. He verified my name on the label before putting on the tubes and urine cup. My doctor sent me to get some blood tests. I made an appointment for 10:45 am. I got there at 10:47 because of the slow elevator, but I was done at 11:02 am. The woman drawing my blood was pleasant and professional. There were a few other customers waiting, but the waitroom was quiet and clean. The medical building has free parking, which is better than the LabCorp on Binz, where you have to find paid parking on the street. read more

Worst location ever. I arrived at 4:20 and they don't close until 4:30. Wouldn't open the locked door when I knocked. Even heard a patient inside tell them someone was knocking and they told them not to worry about it. Tried to call and they ignored my calls as well. I could hear the phone ringing inside. If they wouldn't do my lab work that close to closing, that would be okay (I guess) but answer the door and let me make any appointment for another time at least. read more

Major fraudulent billing! I got charged twice a year later after I had already paid the bill the same month I got my test done. When I called Labcorp they said they had the incorrect address which was a lie because I haven't changed address in the past 3 years. Worst place I've ever stepped foot into. For starters the front desk red head was RUDE right off the back. She obviously didn't want to help me. Then proceeded to make unnecessary comments about "we can't answer phones if we're busy can we?" When my mother and I and one other person were the only people in the clinic. On top of that we weren't even talking about her clinic answering phones. She proceeded to "help me" or better words tell me they aren't going to be able to do anything for me but they'll "do they're best" she picked up the phone one time it went to vm and turned around and said all I can tell you is go somewhere else. (At this point it was lunch time so I'm sure she wanted me to go somewhere else) The other front desk girl called me up to ask for paper work I guess but instead of asking me she just stared at me waiting to speak. The entire experience was horrible and I'll never send anyone there. Nor will I ever be back. read more

The lab Corp employee that works in my doctor's office is amazing. Brenda takes the time to get to know us. My mom has Alzheimer's and gets confused easily. The staff isn't nice at all. There was an older lady who did not know how to use the check in computers and they refused to help her. I was there and happy to help her but They should be ashamed for not helping an older woman with check in. Extremely rude and disrespectful! Also the lady just told me the charge without explaining that they will be billing insurance first and when i was confused she was not pleasant and didn't try to explain. I had to essentially ask probing questions regarding the billing for her to do me a favor and explain. Never going back and don't recommend for anyone to go there. read more

They don't even deserve 1 star. The receptionists treat you like you're a 3rd class citizen. The African American lady that draws blood kept calling me Mr. Lee, yelled at me as if I am a child saying she will be forced to poke me more to find a suitable vein if I don't stop being tense. I don't understand why people in your establishment are so angry. Perhaps you need to put them in anger management so they don't put it out on their clients. This place never answers the phone, takes forever, and doesn't process the results as fast as other locations. I was supposed to have a rapid panel drug screen done and they didn't process it until the next day when it was supposed to be done in fifteen minutes. Fortunately, my boss understood it was the location and they shouldn't have accepted my paperwork but I'd just go to another location for drug testing all together. read more

This is the worst clinic I have ever been to in my life. I went in for a routine blood draw, nothing crazy. Besides the fact that the staff was rude, the technician was chomping on gum and said zero words to me, she took a needle out "stabbed" me in the arm. I let out a gasp it hurt so badly. She said nothing to me. I was almost in tears. I have never had somebody be so rough. I went to this location once before and had a similar experience. Not quite as bad but similar. I'm aware that every now and then it hurts a little more or you may bruise when you have blood withdrawn, but this was sheer negligence. I've had an epidural, over 100 allergy shots and blood withdrawn at least twice year for the last five years my life, so I'm no stranger to needles. I attached a picture as well. Dear Labcorp, We understand that you have to deal with some awful people and their urine every week but please, for gods sake, understand that not everyone that goes into your office is there under a court order and don't treat them that way. I had to do a pre-employment drug screening at this location and it was just trash from start to finish (Including the two women that were in the office.), which by the way was a two hour process and I had to severely use the restroom for almost an hour and 45minutes of that wait time. I really didn't know what to expect going in to a drug screening clinic in the first place but if you can save yourself a trip to this location... do it. read more

This company does major fraudulent billing. They send bills that were for services never authorized. When confronted they blame everyone except their own deceptive and fraudulent actions. We had my 5 yr old daughter's blood drawn at this location and had a wonderful experience. The ladies had a great attitude and took the time to make my daughter comfortable by talking to her and her little stuffed animal. They did an excellent job drawing the blood. No tears, not even a flinch and they took three vials. They were professional, knowledgeable and kind. I would definitely return to this location. read more

The only good thing about this Labcorp is that the nurse was able to find my vein on the first try, so good job, you get 1 star. I made my appointment for 5pm which was completely empty, so no long lines. However, the nurse seemed completely annoyed to be there, and just unhappy in general. I get it, it's towards the end of the day, but it took a total of 5 minutes. And the appointment was available to make. Anyways it didn't put me at ease. When I was leaving I forgot which way was out -- I always have this problem with doctor's offices and the like.. and I got a rude attitude and a pointed finger. Not only that, but more than four weeks later and my doctor says the results have not come across her fax. So what's the deal Labcorp? I called the number provided... I also called other numbers in this same building and they gave me the same number for this Labcorp. It either rings 2x and goes dead silent, or rings repeatedly for 5 minutes. I wouldn't know how much longer it truly rings because lets face it, who wants to listen to a phone ring for any longer. I tried calling during business hours on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday, all to no avail. Safe to say I will never be making another appointment here again. **Update - My doctor did receive my lab results, but the phone is still endlessly ringing! I'm not exactly sure what the other reviewers were talking about. I started reading the reviews while waiting in the waiting room and admittedly started to get a little nervous. It ended up being completely unwarranted however. I had a very good experience at this location. The person at the front desk was also the same person who drew my blood and she was very professional, very friendly, and exceptionally gentle with the blood draw. I guess the one knock on this place is that the waiting room is slightly dingy, but that really isn't much concern to me.
