I was so hesitant to drop off my tests after reading these reviews, but while I did have to wait (my fault as i didn't have an appointment) and that part sucked, the nurse that handled my intake (didn't get her name, but she was a young black woman) was so kind and friendly and informative. Honestly every quest lab I go to always has rude miserable technicians. I had to take my one year old son for his bloodwork and was already stressed taking him outside during this pandemic. We got in fairly quickly and the tech with short bright red hair calls us in. Gives no other direction other than sit with my son and have his arms both available. The only reason I even got that much direction from her was because I asked how she wanted him. She then sticks him and catches an attitude saying I was supposed to hold his arm down, though she never provided me any direction other than sit. I then said ok should I hold him down now and she catches a bigger attitude and says "it's too late now" and leaves the room without another word. A second tech who has socialization skills comes in and acknowledges my son as a human being and then takes his blood. So he is stuck a second time while the first miserable technician holds his arm down. I don't understand why this wasn't the process done the first time. Or provide me with direction I never took a baby for bloodwork and didn't know what to expect. It's not hard to act like a human and have some compassion. At least say " ok I wasn't able to draw blood properly let me get a tech to help and hold his arm I will be right back". Honestly don't bother coming here. So upset my son was hysterical crying which I expected but he should not have had to suffer twice. Furthermore there was about 12 people in the waiting room which though everyone was trying to be spaced out, doesn't work well when people have to walk by each other and check in. read more

Do yourself a favor and don't come here. The phlebotomist/secretary is completely incompetent. She can attend to no more than 3-4 people an hour. You will wait here for at least an hour whether or not you have an appointment. 2 hour wait is the average. If you have time to waste come here, otherwise go elsewhere even of its father. Staff is very unprofessional, you must have an appointment to been seen, if you don't have an appointment be ready to wait for HOURS. They have a sign in sheet for everyone that they don't abide by. After waiting for 2 Hours I asked for a supervisor and I was told that the supervisor was not there. They should have a sign that informs people if you don't have an appointment you have to wait for a long time so you can make a decision at that point. STAY AWAY. read more

I must admit I read the reviews and I was terrified to come to this location. As I arrived there is a long hallway with 3 turns that leads you to the office. Upon entering there is no one at the front desk, just an electronic device that allows you to sign in. The waiting area is large and spacious. There is a t.v and conveniently has your name and the amount of time you've waited after signing in. Luckily I had a 12:45 appointment. I waited for about five minutes before being called. My nurse was very nice. I am not afraid of needles so it was very pleasant. She made small talk and made me feel comfortable. So my experience was pleasant. Completely opposite from the reviews. read more

The plebotomist let her student or whoever she was draw blood from me and her student was so nervous that she forgot to tie my arm with a tourniquet. I made an appt online with quest diagnostics in forest hills as it is the closest to my apt. After reading the reviews, I was a little concerned but decided to see for myself. I had an appt at 10am. Sat When I arrived, there were about 10 people in the room. There was a sign up sheet, and based on the sign up sheet, it looked like they were behind but I signed in and sat down. The room was big, bright and clean. The tv volume was just high enough to hear. A couple of people came in and went to ask-what looks like a receptionist desk-questions and all you can hear is the girl say just sit down and wait to be called. She was a little abrasive. Then my name got called and the technician told me to go the area that everyone thinks is reception. I gave her my perscription or test thing and she asked me a couple questions and then she told me to go to room 4 and she'd be right in. Other than some bandaid papers on the floor, the room was clean. after a couple minutes and 4 vials of blood later, im done. It's 10:20am. Overall, I gave it 4 stars for cleanliness, quick service if you have an appt and efficiency. The reviews that complain about the noise in the waiting room and the delays in service aren't necessarily bad things. Those are negative side effects of public service centers. As for the untrained, unfriendly lab technicians, i didn't have an issue with that. My technician was polite. They aren't there to be friendly. They are there to take samples of your blood. Let them do their job and leave the socializing for somewhere else. read more

I had a great experience with the phlebotomist on duty, Amy. She was friendly and efficient. Amy was the first phlebotomist to draw blood from me on the first shot in my entire 40 year life. She was amazing. Definitely make an appointment on a week day to come or else the wait will be very long as a walk in. read more

Would have been in & out in 4 minutes if the person in front of me didn't take 10 minutes to check in using the e-pad. Impossible to speak to a human being about scheduling an appointment, the automated system just takes you around in circles until it randomly hangs up on you, the website scheduling system doesn't work either or is down for maintenance, the wait times are appalling (even WITH an appointment your doctor sets up) and there's little to no assistance for terrified toddlers and their already anxious parents. Obscene wait time. It is sad and shocking that this can actually be allowed. This place should shut down if each person needs to wait at least two hours to be called in by one very slow person. The heat turns off at 5, so the rest of us waiting, horrified, are freezing in the waiting room. I am truly saddened that this is what we have to resort to for necessary bloodwork. Avoid this lab location at all cost, don't waste your time here, expect to wait for 3 hours at least. Came here for a a blood test, didn't make an appointment, I tried to make one, but no one picks up the phone ever. So if you don't have appt, it should be first come first serve; NO. I waited for 3 hour already, and asked the nurse how much longer, she said they take appointments first, as long as there are ppl with appointments, I'll have to wait until all those ppl are seen first. Doesn't make sense. I understand the ppl come before me with appointments should be seen before me, then those who come afterwards should be seen after me!!
