Really bad. I came here a few months ago to get blood for my autistic daughter and was seen in under an hour as a walk in on a Friday. Today I am here for myself. It's going on 2 hours and they take 2 patients in an hour. The tv screen which is on mute gives wait times. Those times have not changed at all. It went from 15 mins when I walked in to 7 minutes 45 mins later and now it's back to 14 mins. Why is there absolutely no desk. No reception area. There should be someone to monitor if something happens out in the waiting room. It's almost 4pm. I haven't eaten. This place is absolutely garbage. Too bad my doctor doesn't draw blood. So 2 hours later I have my blood drawn. By a very pregnant lady. Whose all alone for the past few hours. What idiot makes a schedule and does not have 2 or more people on site!! Ridiculous! I feel sorry for this woman. This lab and your sorry excuse for employees that did not help this woman. read more

I needed some blood work done per my doctor's orders. I was unable to get call them to schedule, just a constant busy signal, so one star deduction. I popped in at 07:40 am on a Friday and found myself the first person there. I signed in on the iPad screen, and literally about a minute after I had finished and then sat down, a woman called my name. She spoke fluent and unaccented English and was quite kind, not gruff or abrasive or anything. She swabbed my left arm, drew the 6 or 7 vials of blood necessary, and I was out the door in 15 minutes. No offense to assorted 1 and 2 star review people here, but based on some of the stuff I've seen in waiting rooms in my life here in New York, the people behind the counter would rather gargle battery acid than deal with some people and their behavior, so small wonder they come across as unhelpful to you. I was a bit hesitant to go to this location due to the reviews but luckily I did, mostly because they're close by. I got there it was pretty empty, no one was working at the front desk or anything but I saw kiosks to sign in so I did. Waited for like 15 minutes then got my name called, I thought sweet I didn't even make an appointment. I tried to online but the system said they were full for the day, what rubbish . Luckily I followed my gut, I'm afraid of needles and everyone has a hard time finding my veins. It normally takes about five jabs and if I'm lucky they might find blood, I know I'm lucky. Get here early! If they say they open at 10am, get here at like 9 or earlier! The facility is pretty clean but very unorganized when it comes to who's next. They have a sign in sheet at the front desk but nobody works the front desk. A lab technician comes out, looks at the sign in sheet and randomly shout out a name. I saw people who came in after me that got served before I did. I signed in at 9:45, they didn't call my name until 11:15. Friggin ridiculous! Stupid piss test took less than 5 minutes. They are so unethical. They can at least have a separate sign in sheet for those who just need drug screenings done because that stuff is quick. Ok, so this place is totally hit or miss. The reviews here are not necessarily wrong nor are all the people just being nitpicky. It's all about expectations. If you come here expecting warm, happy, inviting people... you will be sorely disappointed. I couldn't get an appointment so I just came right when they opened. Both my kids needed a blood test. There was already three other people there. The waiting room is large and clean but there is no one in the reception area, just a couple of touchscreens for you to sign in. Then we waited. I have been here before and knew on a bad day I could be waiting for hours even with an appointment. And today we had none. So we kept our fingers crossed. Within half an hour both the kids were called, blood drawn, and out we went. So overall not a bad experience (unless you count waking up in an ungodly hour to get there). My daughter's phlebotomist was not as nice as my son's but hey, they both found veins easily and drew blood fast. So three stars because it is a cold unfriendly place that can often times be condescending but we're getting blood drawn not having a party. So as long as the job gets done, we're good. read more

Normally don't come here because it's out of my way but my friend needed blood work done as well so meeting here was a better option. We both made an appt,wasn't really much of a wait just a few min,waiting area was almost empty. I've done walk ins at Cresent street location&I've waited so long ended up leaving,it was crazy busy sometimes so was nice to have no real wait&basically empty here. I had 2 blood test to get done was I was suppose to get done like 9months ago but I've had such a hard time with feeling well enough&sleeping&fasting,finally fasted for the test&I couldn't get it done because it was emailed to me&not printed,apparently anyone could print it out for me (cough,cough) anyone,including them,I just think considering it took me so long to fast&go they could've just printed it out for me 1x&told me. I don't have a printer so back to the Dr Fri she can revise the blood test&print it for me but not sure if I'll go back to this location it's too far for me. Anyway I have trouble veins,I've been lucky for the most part with Quest although the girl at the other location had trouble with me a few times the guy at this location got me in 1 shot&that's what I care about most. If you have trouble veins where you've been stabbed&fished bunch of times you'll understand this is all that matters that the guy got me 1 shot so may go back there at some point prob if my friend needs to get blood tested again same time as me. read more

Zero stars really. The Russian lady at the front is an absolute "beech". The black lady in the back is right up there with her. I simply don't understand why people take jobs working with customers or clients when they lack social skills? Just finding parking here is a nightmare and then having to deal with their attitudes and lack of common sense is annoying. I paid $11 to park, walked my butt up those stairs and waited 30 mins only to be told they didn't know what kind of test I needed. Due to all the negative comments and ratings, I was very hesitant to visit this location to have my labs drawn. I made an appointment for Saturday September 11th at 12:30pm. I received text alerts to check in etc. prior to my appointment. When I arrived slightly earlier than my appointment time (12:22pm), I was met with a kiosk at the entrance to check in once again. I completed this. The room had seats, approx. 6 feet apart - thus leaving a seat for approximately 15 people. I stood. There was a board that had the first three letters of the persons first name, last initial and an estimated time of when you'd be seen. Mine said 6 minutes. There were some wait times up to 19 minutes. I was called in, phlebotomist was professional and only stuck me once, no bruising. Was walking out by 12:37pm. I recommend if you're going to this location make an appointment. All in all, was not a bad experience. read more

Like all Quests in Queens, this one is severely understaffed. This FH location has a few good people who really try to do right by patients. Others seem to HATE patients and they don't care if they know how to get a vein or have good technique or not. For instance you're supposed to undo the tourniquet BEFORE you withdraw the needle. They wait until after. Also, they go straight through the vein and then back out until they get blood flow. That's also wrong. Yet so many people in Quests all over the city use they same wrong techniques that they all must have been trained by the same Quest idiot. Unfortunately Quest Diagnostics locations don't answer the phone. Quest Diagnostics CORPORATE doesnt answer phone calls by patients either. Or emails. They NEVER answer emails - and that's if you're lucky enough to get through their online system because its full of bugs and they don't care - you're just a patient ! Seriously, even if you use their online submission form, it will say "The requested URL was rejected. Please consult this error with the proper personal." Yup - that's a direct quote - complete with grammar and spelling errors. It says everything you need to know about Quest. Their offices are understaffed. Their personnel are poorly trained. There is no customer service by phone. There is no customer services via email. Their website is full of errors. And they don't care. read more

Staff is extremely inattentive. There is nobody at the reception desk. Literally. You must wait till someone will answer your simple question on the fly. The only thing they say: "Sign in!" I'v been there a few times and every time it is like that. They just don't care. They say make an appointment in advance but the phone works only as answering machine, you don't have a chance to talk with a human. I had to come for some analysis twice because first time they didn't care to tell they have very specific timeframe for that (first time I came they all were running back and forth, and nobody wanted to talk or give instructions. After waiting 30 min I had to stop someone to get the papers and he immediately ran away without any explanations of the process). It sounds funny but it's not when you waste your time. Our visit was excellent. I went for routine blood test for my 14 month old. I definitely was nervous as this was her first time drawing blood. We were 15 mins late for our appointment but the staff was very polite and still took us in. Office is big and very clean. The first technician we had tried looking for the vein to draw blood but couldn't find it so she called for help so the baby didn't get pricked unnecessarily. The helping technician got the vein in first go and made it very easy for us. We were out in 20mins. I am definitely going here for any future tests. read more

The one star is for the quick timing from start to finish. The service is absolutely terrible. The phlebotomists are cold and treat you like a specimen. The women who took my blood literally stuck the needle in my arm and blood popped out . She pushed the two tubes really quickly for the blood to collect and then harshly pulled the needle back out. I work at memorial sloan Kettering and I am always surprised at the standard of care everywhere else when it falls so short. This is so sad. I visited this place 2 times already for my urine drug test. The first time I was here, the waiting room only had 4-5 people. I was called in last even though I had an appointment. The woman who collected my urine was pretty cold. I'm pretty sure it was the same woman I interacted with today. I'm giving this place 2 stars because I was in and out of the place fairly quickly. I came here on friday around 3pm and the waiting room was empty. My main problem is that woman. I don't know how she got hired there, but she seriously needs to learn a thing or 2 about professionalism. Not even a minute after she called me in, I hear her sigh LOUDLY over 4 times. No "how are you?", just "go to room 4". After I handed back the urine sample, she gets a damn PERSONAL call on her cellphone and answers it (and mind you, her ringtone was LOUD). I stood there annoyed and pissed, waiting for her to hand me the papers that was in her hand. This woman had the audacity to take a personal call in front of a customer who she's not even finish with. She could've said, "I'm busy, call me later", but no... Unbelievable! read more

Beyond that, they claim to be able to draw blood on pediatric patients and 3 times now they have tortured my son with ineptitude before telling me they can't do it. I went there the other day with my script in hand and was summoned inside the room for my bloodwork after a wait of approx 1/2 hour. I handed the tech my script and made the mistake of telling him that I see the doc in his Forest Hills office.(there were 4 different addresses on the paper however, that particular Forest Hills address did not appear on the script). He questioned me as to why that was so. I told him that he needed to send the results to my doctor's Lake Success office anyway but insisted that he needed to see the Forest Hills address noted somewhere. . I asked him to hold on for a second while I went into the waiting room to ask my wife if she had the doc's business card which had that address he needed to see.. but she did not. I returned to his room and told him that she did not have the card but once again reiterated that the L.I. address, which is my doc's main office, would suffice. Displeased with my reply and seeing another woman waiting outside, he said, " let me finish with her now ..go back to the waiting room and I'll call you when I'm finished " I foolishly obliged and waited for an additional 20 minutes until it dawned upon me that he most likely still would not draw my blood without seeing the doctor's Forest Hills address so I asked the receptionist to retrieve my script from the man ( I never got his name but he was a young Black man ). She did so and I left annoyed, vowing never again to return. Yet another reason why this business has a 2-star rating. read more

Had to go here twice for doctor ordered tests. They could do with a receptionist, no two ways about it. People aren't mind readers, they need info, to know where to go, what to do etc. This is left up to the nurses to explain. It shouldn't be their job, I'm certain they have enough going on without having to do this as well. First time I got a lovely nurse who was very polite and pleasant so I had no complaints. Second time I got a nurse who was incredibly rude the entire time. Firstly because I had to be there for 3 hours for the tests to work and have my blood drawn, yes apparently that annoyed her. Then she was pissed because I didn't make an appointment, trust me if anyone ever answered the phone I would've made one. I did try for days to make an appointment online but there were never any appointments available, my doctor was putting pressure on me to just go and get it done assuring me that I could just walk in. Also if they want you to make appointments why make it a selling point of your business that you can just walk in? Then she was rude because she couldn't find a vein, referring to having to take my blood as "I'm gonna stick you" how nicely put. Then it was that I didn't come and yank her out of her office while she was with other patients to tell her I needed to have blood drawn. Sorry but who does that? I was raised to be polite and wait my turn, not to walk into someone else's appointment and demand to be seen, which she said I should've done. I didn't hold the cotton ball on my arm for long enough, I didn't make a fist the right way, it went on and on. Basically I couldn't do anything right. God help whoever pissed her off because she seemed determined to take it out on everyone else. I don't expect to have my hand held or to be coddled, but expecting basic politeness and some degree of professionalism isn't asking too much, in my opinion. Take a book, or something to entertain yourself and pray you get a nurse that has a pleasant manner. Also if you park on the street outside, you may have to go out to feed the meter at some point because appointments tend to take a while. Also beware of which side of the street you park on and on what day. If you obstruct the street cleaners, they'll give you a ticket. read more

We had an appointment today at Quest Diagnostic in Forest Hills. Everything about this location was unprofessional. We fell in front of the property trying to climb over a pile of snow this morning. We were surprised that there was no one to greet patients at the office. There were empty chairs and an iPad for check in so you did not know if anyone was working. After a few minutes the on site phlebotomist appeared. She was extremely rude, not helpful and unprofessional. Her behavior was very unbecoming of a health care professional in a service industry. Her behavior was surprising considering the office was empty. Lastly no one ever picks up the phone at this location. It's impossible to get any information. With that said, stay away from this lab until management makes significant changes regarding how it conducts business. read more

Listen, make an appointment it's the easiest thing you can do. Use your internet or data plan on your damn phone go to questdiagnostics dot com and schedule an appointment. It took me 15 minutes to get my blood drawn while people were sitting out there for 2 hours because they were special snowflakes and didn't make an appointment. The only complaint I have is the fact that I sat next to a garbage with pee cups in it, then a lady came and cleaned it while I was sitting there doing the paperwork. That was nasty but whatever, I'm not a special snowflake. I got out of there in 30 minutes, tops. Oh, and if you do make an appointment and walk-in early, they see you early ahead of alllll the special snowflakes. Also, have your paperwork. I have been to this location 5 times. This time my Dr. ordered an additional test based on the results of an earlier test that was performed here. The RX for the order was faxed directly to this location. I called Quest to ensure that the new order was received. the man I was speaking to transferred me to the NJ call center without giving me notice of doing so. This random operator at the NJ office then called the FHills office who indicated that they in fact never received the order. I call my Dr. They confirmed that an order was sent but that they would fax another order immediately. These calls all took place between 11-1 pm. I was unable to schedule an appointment, which I typically do, but the test needs to be done so I go to Quest FHs at 3:40pm. I checked in on the e pad checkin. There were 6 people in the waiting area with me. I sat patiently for 1hr. The nurse on staff is entirely unfriendly and unhelpful. I finally made sure that the order was faxed at 4:40. Guess what, the date was the original date! These people are so apathetic and lazy. I could have come directly from work!!!!! I am still waiting to be called back I have been the 2nd person on a list of 6 for at least over an hour!!!!! . It is 5:55pm. No one has come to talk to those of us still waiting. I just went to the back to check that people are still here. The place is a ghost town along with disarray and cleaning. I spoke with the lone employee and she had assured me that we will still be seen. I am a captive. This place SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never again. read more

This place is the worst. I had two appointments this morning for my two needle-phobic children and purposely made appointments online a week in advance so that I could avoid having to sit in the waiting room with my stressed-out, nervous kids. No one likes having blood work done and Quest Diagnostics seems to have no regard for their patients and does not see a problem keeping people waiting all morning long. There is no receptionist here, just two iPads where you check yourself in. Due to a keying error I made entering my son's birth date, his appointment "never appeared in the system" and was totally disregarded. When my daughter's name was finally called after 40 minutes of waiting, I asked if the technician could take care of both kids at the same time. She got rude and nasty with me and told me I had to wait as a walk-in patient since I made a mistake entering my son's birthdate, despite my already having a confirmed appointment via email, so obviously his name and appointment were already in the system!!! I said that was ridiculous and told her that was horrible customer service. She decided then that she wasn't going to see either of my children and ordered us back out to the waiting room to wait for another technician to see us. She basically refused to do her job because I pushed back on their horrible appointment system and total disregard for their customers. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS HORRIBLE FACILITY. The other two technicians who saw us 20 minutes later were kind and apologetic for the mix up, but this behavior and treatment is totally unacceptable. What is the point of making an online appointment in advance if you do not honor it? And the first technician was an absolute witch for putting my kids through the prolonged, nightmarish torture of waiting for a blood draw and then refusing to even see them when it was finally their turn. Do not go here if you have a toddler. Came here the other day around 4 pm. They only had one phlebotomist on site. My wife and I were holding down our kid. She couldn't draw blood at all from both arms. After few mins of poking around and our kid screaming. She stopped the procedure and said. Come here between 7 am and 3 pm. When we have more staff to hold down your kid. Best way to do this is to give us the heads up that it might be challenging to draw blood from kids this age. Would you like to come back because of so and so. I would've accepted that. Overall. We ended up going elsewhere where this was a piece of cake! Stay away!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Do not come here if you are a walk-in or don't want your day ruined. Called several nearby Quest locations to reach a representative, ask questions regarding routine bloodwork and make an appointment. No one ever answered the phone and I was unable to leave a message as all the mailboxes were full. Decided to test my luck with a walk-in and boy was I greatly disappointed by the experience although the reviews left here should have told me something. There was no one on line but when the employee at the front greeted me she only cared to learn if I had an appointment. When I stated I was a walk in she said they would not see me and refuse me service unless I made an appointment via the website or calling a specific number (not the location). After arguing that no where is it officially listed that you can't be a walk-in, I went on to the patient portal I was instructed by the employee to go to. Mind you, we only learned this information once arriving at the office. The portal said you can make a walk in appointment and that it was a 5-8 min wait. I received a confirmation code and only needed to wait a few min till my appointment time. When I told the employee I had a code to check in, she said "but that's still considered a walk-in" and they won't see me. Two more employees watched this unbelievable debate go down regarding walk-in vs. appointment. Even after having an official appointment, they wouldn't even attempt to check me in. During this time, several patients lined up in a cramped hallway waiting to be seen. I witnessed at least 5 of them get turned away as walk-ins and many of them calling their doctor while they were there saying "you told me I could come here as a walk-in." The miscommunication regarding Quest policies was mind blowing. So many believing walk-ins were acceptable because it even says so on the website they are but for some reason Forest Hills will not accept you unless you've booked an official appointment with confirmation. Asked to speak to a manager and they completely ignored us after asking several times "who's in charge here?" The employees there are horrible - ignore you, rude, won't look you in the eyes when speaking to them, unhelpful, unfriendly and overall some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Refuse to visit another Quest ever again. All their locations have terrible reviews so as a company clearly they are doing something wrong! I strongly advise Quest to update their website to reflect your policies and stop wasting people's time and effort! read more
