My wife came in today for scheduled bloodwork for my son. He had an appointment for 3:30 PM, and upon arrival, they checked in and were put in queue as it showed on the screen in the lobby. Given a Friday afternoon, it was crowded, but saw my son's name on the list confirmed they would be seen in order. As they waited, a lady came in and got the attention from the staff, and asked for a walk in, claiming she had an appointment. She didn't but they somehow gave her a spot. As my wife waited, seemingly longer, they noticed that my son's name was no longer on the monitor queue. Other customers were being called in, including some that arrived after them. My wife finally got a staff member's attention and told her the situation. The "rude" female insisted that they had no control over what the screen showed. (Odd that you can literally put people on the walk in queue but have no say with actual scheduled customers, BS). Long story short, they ended having to wait until all customers were seen, including walk appointments. After, pleading with the staff member that we were scheduled, they did nothing to help and made us wait until closing. Again, scheduled appointments are confirmed via text and email if you have been here. But no attempt to fix the situation. The worst experience ever at Quest (given we've been here several times and haven't had an issue). The horrible, staff member who would not help, and to top it off, she kept telling customers how busy they were because they were short staffed. That is no excuse when assisting customers. Second, saying that they had no control over the queue when they were clearly able to take walk ins, but mysteriously removed my son from the list. We've been to this location before, but it seems that horrible employees lower the standard of customer service and the overall business. Even worse is that so many people rely on Quest because many private doctor's offices do not handle internal bloodwork; so Quest has this massive contract with nationwide offices to do bloodwork for them. The customers who rely on Quest are our family members, whether sick, elderly, some dealing with major medical issues, yet they might come here and have to deal with the BS that my family dealt with today. Just horrible. Hoping to figure out if there is actual management or staff supervision to bring this issue to. read more

I was referred to this location for blood and urine work through a third-party doctor. upon entry There were no staff available only several kiosk machines to check in, very discouraging. I checked in using the kiosk machine and it recognized my information as having an appointment. when my name was finally called. I went to the back room and they started asking me questions and stated they did not have an order for me and I would need to Leave. I tried calling right in front of them The Doctor Who referred me and they insisted I step outside. Very frustrating. I was able to call the Dr who set this up and they mentioned all my information was in the Quantom portal. As soon as I had gotten off the phone they called me back in. read more

Worst staff ever. The women who work there are incredibly rude and have no idea how to fill out information. It was my first time coming and I checked in but my name wasn't coming up.One of the women (short, dark slicked back bun, mid-20's maybe) was so impatient and tried to make me look bad when I followed instructions but it turned out to be a system issue as to why my name wasn't showing up and not by user error. Other staff members followed her attitude. They even put my address in incorrectly and got all huffy when I pointed it out over THEIR mistake! Very unhelpful and there needs to be staff training in customer empathy and relationship management. Very disappointing experience. I almost don't trust them with my samples. read more

I came in during my lunch break with a scheduled appointment I made online. I was in and out in such a speedy time! I checked in on the kiosk which was so easy and took about one minute then sat down and was called within 5 minutes. My blood draw also took about 5 minutes. I've been to this Quest Diagnostics location a couple of times before, but the phlebotomist who drew blood from me today did such a HORRIBLE job that I was compelled to write this review. While I was waiting on my chair in Stall #7, I looked at the vein on my right arm (which is where I always get blood drawn) to see if there would be any issues for the technician to stick the needle into it. The vein looked good, but to my immediate SHOCK, I watched as the phlebotomist inserted the needle WELL AWAY from my vein...as shown in the photo I attached with this review. There have been previous times when other phlebotomists inserted the needle in a way that was a bit uncomfortable, but the fact that I literally said "OW" and grimaced the whole time today's technician was drawing blood, showed how much more painful THIS experience was. To make things worse, this phlebotomist didn't even care to ask "Are you okay?" or remotely apologize considering that she could see the grimace on my face. I guess this technician has done this job for such a long time that she doesn't care if she's performing the blood work in a haphazard manner. Just get me on my way so she can work on the next patient. If this phlebotomist did this half-assed job to a 5-year-old, it's not an exaggeration to say that this would be a traumatic experience that will make this child refuse to go to a medical office ever again. Disgraceful. I WOULD go to a Labcorp to get blood drawn, but for some odd reason, the majority of its locations are going out of business or temporarily closed due to a maintenance issue near where I live. Fortunately, there's another Quest Diagnostics close to my house. But this Grand Avenue location is in a really nice area... Such a shame that a phlebotomist who's bad at her job had to make me not want to go back to this office ever again. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a lab! The front desk woman was incredibly rude and clearly couldn't care less about her job or the people waiting. I had an appointment and arrived on time with all my documents in order, but was still made to wait over an hour. Worst experience ever. They never call the standby list. Im running 12 minutes late than my appointment and system automatically put me on standby list. I'm 27 weeks pregnancy with fasting and waiting for three hours and still not get any service done even I'm the first one on the standby list. After I spoken to the staff twice they chose to ignore me and tell me to reschedule. If they can't do the service why can't they tell me at first place. If you don't ask they say nothing. This was my first time being here and most likely the last for this location. I checked in through the link sent to my phone and got a screen saying that I was checked in and was good to go. Upon walking in, I took a seat. I realized that the link on my phone was faulty, and I was not actually checked in for my 11 a.m. appointment. I then checked in at the kiosk, and one of the nurses came out saying that they were backed up and it was most likely going to be a while. I ended up not being seen until 11:50, which was the most I waited to get blood work done. I don't understand the point of making an appointment when I was going to be seen an hour past my scheduled time. I had to get updated bloodwork done for my doctor and Quest Diagnostics Chino made it as quick and easy of a process as possible. Appointment is recommended and can easily be done online. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot as there are various medical offices in the same building. Their location is on the second floor and can be accessed via the elevator as soon as you enter. The morning of my appointment, Quest sent me a text to my phone to virtually check in. No need to check in again when I got to the waiting room. I brought a book to read while waiting and I didn't even have time to open it, they called me right away! The phlebotomist was friendly and professional. I'm not the greatest with needles but she made the process super easy and quick. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I have been coming here for lab tests since it opened. The phlebotomists are capable. I don't remember a time having a problem with taking blood samples for me or my young children. Most of the staffs are polite and considerate. There is a lot of seating area. Having an appointment is best. Walk-in is an option. They take walk-ins every 30 or 60 minutes. I had to drop of a lab specimen for mom a few weeks back. Couldn't get an appointment to drop off specimen, tried while I waited to see if any othe local Quest had availability for specimen drop-off, nope. I was told when I checked in would be an hour for drop-off, after 2 hours I was told sorry, still have to wait. NO attempt was made for a urine sample drop-off and the fact that insurance info was uploaded when checking in make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE that a specimen drop-off can't be taken!! I have used Quest for over 25 years but since the pandemic it has become difficult to get appointments. read more

Recommended with reservations. First of all the staff at Quest is fantastic! They're friendly, efficient and professional. However! Your system leaves a LOT to be desired. It used yo be so easy to schedule an appointment on line. All the prompts quickly took the user easily through the process. Now, in every attempt, we can not get past identifying the type of test required. It refuses to take us to the next step and there's no prompt or explanation as to why or how to continue. So, we went to the process of scheduling over the phone. Not difficult at all, BUT, when arriving last week for a scheduled AND confirmed appointment, your check-in "machine" indicated there was no appointment set! Didn't matter that we had a confirmation number and since you have NO ONE at the front desk to help, there was no one to take up this issue with! So, we had to reschedule for this week, and change a doctor's appointment because they would not have labs in time. How convenient! So, today we have a CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT with confirmation number for 10:10am with a check-in time of 10am. At 9:30 you sent a check-in text for our "9:40am" appointment!! I only hope that IF we're able to break the sound barrier to get there in time, we'll FINALLY have our necessary labs complete for our RESCHEDULED doctor's appointment! PLEASE! I love that this location is in the Spectrum shopping center. I can reward myself after getting blood drawn!! They have Covid precautions in place. They check temperatures at the door and seating is spaced apart. You have an option to wait outside too. They have a new Walk-In policy. They only take walk-ins between 630 and 7:30 AM. After that you need to have an appointment. I saw many people walk in and the staff looked for an available appointment either at that location or another. I always make an appointment and they take me on time. The lab techs never hurt me when drawing my blood, which is a must! read more
