Our family have been coming to this place for blood work for many years. The previous experience was okay but lately we had very horrible experience with the front desk lady. She probably really hated this job because she was so rude so impolite and when she talks to you she sounded like you are stupid or low life. This is very unpleasant. We are here to do blood work and bringing revenue to your company so you can keep your job but you act like we are begging you to do blood work for us this is insane. I ended up calling the corporate office and file a complaint which I doubt they would do anything but I'm doing what I could so that others don't have to experience the same thing that my family had to go through. read more

I'd give this spot 0 stars if I could. They might be great people but perhaps just horrible and their chosen professions? Their skills, or lack thereof, definitely need to be improved. They were unable to successfully draw blood from my mother after two initial attempts. The third attempt was finally successful but after 1.5 vials, the tech stated that they needed to try the other hand again to see if it would be faster. 2 more unsuccessful attempts on the other hand and they ask my mom if she'd like to come back tomorrow, when their coworker is working instead (mind you this is after already telling her to fast for today's blood drawing). She ended up leaving and going to a different lab. Absolutely amazed that this place is still open. Someone needs to look into it. read more

I'd like to give them 0 stat if it's an option. There's only 1 person that does the blood draw and each blood draw takes them 15-20 mins - which means they can only draw 3-4 persons blood per hour. If you see 5-6 people in front of you - good, the wait is going to be 2 hours or above. I don't know how they can be so not productive and still refuse to hire more staff. On top of that, they messed up the blood sample the first time and I had to go there for the second time for another blood draw and there another 2 hour wait! There are only 3 employees working there and they really take their sweet time on everything. I hate this place. read more

I'd like to give them 0 stat if it's an option. This lab is terrible! The staff has a bad attitude and no rules! Yesterday I went to this lab to draw blood. After cleaning the cardboard boxes and garbage, a nurse came to draw my blood without changing her gloves. I was very surprised and said, "Don't you need to change a pair of gloves?" She changed new one when she heard me asking her! Not only that, when this nurse was drawing blood from me, she couldn't find the vein after three injections. It was not until I strongly asked for a change that she pulled out the needle and said to other nurses with an unhappy face that "she asked for a change of person to draw her blood." Her attitude is terrible! Not even a word of apology!!! Now my arm is all blue and bruised where this nurse pierced my arm!!! read more

Came here to get blood and samples for annual physical checkup for my Dr. Yes this place is pure controlled chaos! Note on the weekends they open at 8am and the queue begins outside at around 7-7:30am! They do NOT have appointments! The line is to sign in when they open at 8am! If you come at 8am you will be at least 30-40 people deep. I arrived at 7:30am and was 6th in line. Forget it if you come later then that since they close at 12pm. After sign in they will call you in the order you are on the sign in sheet. Everyone must wait outside until they are called and imagine the line outside of elder people. It's kind of sad having super elder people stand for literally hours with no where to sit. Yeah you can wait in your car until they call you. They do have a tiny waiting room with less than 5 seats for the handicapped. After being called by the nurse you provide your ID, insurance card and your lab order form from your Dr. They'll either collect your copay then or you sign your consent form. You then wait in line for the one bathroom if they need a urine sample. Then the second line for the one window with the nurse drawing blood samples. Total I was in and out in about 2.5 hours. 99% of the time was standing around waiting. Overall not a great nor efficient process but what can you do except be patient and stand around and wait. At least the staff are pretty nice and know the wait sucks. I did see they also do covid testing here but with the sign-in/wait time highly NOT recommended to come here for that or maybe only come weekdays. read more

Make sure to call ahead! I called ahead to confirm they did take walk-ins and the receptionist also told me to arrived before 12:30 in a curt way, which I appreciated because I didn't want to waste my time. I arrived and went in around 11:38am and was out by 11:52am. Receptionist is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English. She was very efficient at her job and, though curt, I think her skills were 10/10. I'm here to do my bloodwork and leave as soon as possible. The phlebotomist on shift today was a Latina, I believe, with one of the best bedside manners I've ever experienced. She made my experience here comfortable and heartwarming, even made small talk and sent me on my way before I even knew it. Ask her how her day was! You won't regret it. On another note, the phlebotomist was also very good at her job too. She accurately, and with minimal discomfort, found a viable vein and quickly filled up the tubes needed for my bloodwork. All this took place in less than 20min! I got really lucky--there was only one other person on the waitlist and the receptionist processed my paperwork within minutes. Based off my experience this time, I would continue coming here to do my bloodwork. The reviews I've read on here deterred me a little and made me hesitant on driving to this location but just go for it. I certainly don't regret coming here. read more

Do NOT go here! I was hesitant to come here after reading reviews, but this is where my insurance sent me. I definitely should have listened to my gut. I get there at 8:06 on a Saturday and there were about 25 people already signed in before me, they don't take appointments. After standing around outside for about 2 hours, it was finally my turn. I go in and immediately notice the place is not clean. The walls are dirty and they have a cardboard box (like from Costco) where people drop of their stool/urine samples right there in the lobby. I don't know if this is normal but I personally think that's disgusting. I go to do the urine test and notice that the bathroom is all the way down a narrow hallway...where BLOOD IS BEING DRAWN! YES, they draw your blood in a narrow hallway with people walking by to go do their urine sample. I mean, REALLY?! What if someone bumps into you! Seeing this, I was appalled and really wanted to get out of there but I had to get my work done for my upcoming appointment. The only positive is the woman drawing my blood did it quickly and painlessly. Now...this is where my poor review comes from. I had my appointment scheduled for 2 months with my doctor to go over my blood work. My Dr calls me and says the lab never sent over my results. The receptionist confirms the date and place I got it done, and calls them. Multiple times. She said that each time they called they said "yeah, we'll fax it" but they NEVER DID. This caused me to have to reschedule my appointment for 2 more months out. My question is, why did they not send the results when they first got them? And when asked for them, they still didn't send them? I'm sure they lost my results and now if they end up sending them, I don't even trust that they're mine! I'm going to go somewhere else that's cleaner and more professional. read more

I have come to this Sun emergency clinic & labs 4x and each time I grow more disappointed in the management here. When a little boy and his father were worried about glass wounds in his kid's bleeding hand, the receptionist wearing a jade necklace nonchalantly said, "uh yea.. you might have to come back tomorrow." Absolutely no empathy in her voice, and she very rudely rushes patients to stand outside with no estimated wait times. Next door, where the diagnostic blood/urine is collected, they had forgotten to take a sample the Doc requested, forcing me to return once more, and they never inform us of when the tests are finished, so unnecessary time is wasted. 12/10 would recommend elsewhere. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I definitely would. The service is terrible and the staff are incompetent. I came on a Saturday to get my labs done. The worker turned me away and said they're closed and pointed me to the sign that they don't take people in after 11:30am (even though they close at noon). I told her to look at the time that I clearly showed up at 11:15am. Not sure why my doctor keeps referring me to this Lab company when there are clearly so many other labs closer to me that would take my insurance. Avoid this place at all cost. They had rolls of toilet paper set around the lab and blood sample bags (like baggies with all the vials bundled) in a box labeled for Tillamook cheese, like they def just got that from Costco. I've been visiting their Sun Lab for over ten years and usually check their schedule before showing up. Because of the community's popular location, workers go out of their way to accommodate a large number of walk-ins. They maintained the place nice; there were no thrills here. Because of the wide range of individual circumstances, nurses must probe several times to acquire a successful blood sample. On a good day, in and out time is less than 15 minutes. read more

There's usually a long wait when coming in the morning. This place is not very clean. They use a paper towel on the armrest pillow but don't change it unless you ask them to. This is disappointing, especially for a healthcare facilty. When I was there in April, there was an older lady (I've never seen her there before) who struggled to find my vein (which I never experienced before either). She couldn't find a vein on my left arm so asked to draw from my right arm. She had to remove the needle because she couldn't get the blood to draw after wiggling around. This was painful! She had to poke me again to find another vein to draw from. I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day or if she needs more training! read more

Was really skeptical especially because of the reviews saying they got poked many times. I think that's the biggest scare for me. But took a chance and the wait was really fast and not only was I not poked many times but I barely felt anything when I got poked. But this is the first and only time I've been here, been to the other Sunlabs many times and the one on Nogales hurts but is a quick wait, the one on Gale is decent but longest wait ever, the one on Colima is closed. Maybe I'll change my review in the future for this sunlabs after I get more experiences on this one. read more

I was in and out within 30 minutes so it wasn't that bad. And the lady who took my blood did it painlessly and quick. I got there and they made me sign in and sit down in the lobby while i waited for my turn. The wait is understandable since it's only 2 people working here; one is in the front checking your insurance and the other one is in the back taking blood etc. the 4 stars is because it was kind of disorganized, people were confused on what to do and where to sign in but overall it wasn't bad. read more

Due to previous unpleasant experiences here, I have refrained from coming to this location for 4 years. However, I decided to give it another shot today as I was in the area. Unfortunately, the service was just as bad as I remembered. The lady who drew my blood was very unprofessional and had to stick the needle into my arm 3 different times until she got it in properly. When I asked her why I didn't do a urine sample, she kept repeating over and over that she didn't know anything and to talk to my primary doctor about it. So I asked if I could have them fax over my info, and she said yes. I wanted to leave the office to make the call as there were a lot of people inside and I didn't want them overhearing my personal details, but the lady said I couldn't go outside until it faxed over. I will not come to this location again, and instead stick to the Rowland Heights location which has shorter lines, better service, and professional blood draws. read more

My husband was sent here the other day. What horrible service. They did not want To take him without an appointment and the lady at the front desk was on the phone the whole time and reading the newspaper. The office was empty so they took him in and drew his blood the lady in the front was still on the phone. While we were there I contacted my doctors office and advise them we will no longer be going to the laboratory once the lady at the front heard me on the phone with the doctors office she immediately hung up with her she was talking to. After I waited with 83 years old mom and went to UPS to print out the prescription( they do not take email. After waiting for another hour, they do not have the special solution for the blood test. We are still waiting if they will find it ir we will have to go to another location. read more

This location shows open until 5:00pm, and lunch time from 1:00 pm, but when I visit there on 12:43pm today, the staff said they are closed on 12:40. However, that does not show any notes for close 20 minutes early. How poor service from the staff. I hope to give them zero star. read more

Took my two kids there for blood draw. The staffs are all very nice and kind to them. They made the whole process so easy. My young one is 7 years old and afraid of needles. But they talked to him to distract him and they did it so fast, my boy said he didn't feel it at all. Good job and thumbs up for all the staffs there! read more

The bad reviews had me expecting the worst but I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very professional and courteous. The walk in wait time on a Thursday at 10am wasn't too long like around 30 minutes. The person who drew my blood was very good at her job. As painless as blood drawing can be. The doctor sent me here for a blood test physical and it was the most horrible experience ever. Came here two separate times at around 8am when they first open. Both time the lines were extremely long and the service is very poor. All the staff are on auto pilot as though they don't give a shit since there's so many people and you get the feeling you're at the post office because they are not incentivized to work. read more

Physician Group merged with another and can no longer go to Quest for Lab work. Man, do I miss being able to go to Quest. They only have one person drawing blood. Waited about an hour for my turn. No appointments. The woman drawing my blood was efficient. Barely felt the sting of the needle. Which was the only positive. But some things I noticed about this place causes me some concern. First I noticed that they had a wicker basket at the front on the waiting room side of the counter, right next to you about 5 inches away, as you are checking in where people were dropping off their samples. Second, the place is very open, there is one chair for drawing blood with no separation, with people walking by with their pee cups to and from the bathroom, as you are getting your blood drawn. The armrest of the chair is on the right but the blood draw is done from the left so you rest your arm on top of some towels placed on top of a filing cabinet and then propped up again by a red squeeze pad/ball. I don't think the towels were replaced between people. Another thing I noticed is that, none of the usual safety protocols were done before or after the blood draw, such as, verifying it was me by asking for my name and date of birth. Then I also noticed that as they were changing vials, each vial of blood was dropped into the open filing cabinet drawer next to the new vials where they got it from.... each time hearing a "Clunk". Just doesn't seem like this is supposed to be the proper way of doing things what if one breaks open. None of the vials were labeled before the blood draw. The Two stars goes to the person who was drawing the blood, nice person, she was quick and pretty much didn't feel a thing. But the usual protocols that I am used to from going to Quest and other labs in the past, I did not see. I wish they would take appointments and hire more than one person drawing blood. read more

I have been coming to this place for over many years now and this is the first time I have encountered such poor service from a rude receptionist ("A"). The two Asian ladies were fine but this non-Asian woman was very unpleasant. I came in and nobody was waiting but I had to wait for her (and without her even acknowledging me) while she googled and photocopied a coloring paper for another staff's grandson (who was not even there), even though the Asian staff advised her to help me first. She was just chit-chatting with another staff. I was going to have a urine and blood test, so I asked her if I can have some drinking water and she responded curtly "We do not have water here!". Because I only had an authorization form for one of the blood tests and did not have an order form, I called my doctor's office and they wanted to talk to her. She yelled "I do not want to touch your phone! Let them call me!" I asked her for the office fax number and again, in a very unpleasant tone of voice, she says "It's there!" then points to the number on the wall in an abrupt and abrasive manner. I told her "You're quite rude" and she sarcastically responds "Thank you!" This receptionist obviously needs training in customer service. So unprofessional, uncaring, and RUDE! It was truly a very unpleasant experience, one that I hope no one will go through. She should not be dealing with people if she does not correct her serious attitude problem because it can drive customers away. The one star is for the two Asian ladies who were pretty helpful. read more
