Waiting are and self check-in kiosks.

Quest is a great alternative to getting your labs done if your doctors are located far away. The phlebotomists here are very nice. It is a big laboratory now, however I was frustrated with the new check-in-system, make sure you have your driver's license and insurance on hand as you will need to scan each one of them and time runs out during check-in if you have to get it from your purse. It is also hard to get appointment times, if you have an emergency lab that needs to be done within a few days and before a specific time in the morning, it is very difficult to schedule an appointment.

Needed lab work done and my Dr wrote an order for Quest. I got home and looked on their website for the next available appointment. It was 2 weeks out.....what the heck???!! 2 weeks? OK, so 2 weeks go by and it's time for my appointment. This location is in the strip mall on Azusa - in the same plaza as Bank of America. I arrive and check in using the screens in the lobby. There was no attendant there, just screens for self check in and other patients waiting to be called. The technician called my name and I went with him to the room where he would attempt to get a few tubes of blood. First poke - he misses the vein. Second poke, he misses again and them attempts to move the needle while its still in me - if you haven't had that done, it freaked hurts a lot. When I had Kaiser, they would get it on the first try and they would see me the same day. What kinda circus did my Dr send me to???? Never again. This place is a joke.

Update , 4 hrs already still waiting !!!! I wish i could make zero star to this worst Lab ever !! I'm honestly baffled by how complicated this lab made something as simple as dropping off a stool sample. My son needed a test, so we were told we had to make an appointment just to drop it off -- because they need time to "make a label." I'm not sure how long printing a label is supposed to take, but I can't imagine it's more than a minute. The bigger issue is, how am I supposed to guarantee exactly when my son will poop? even a day before. It's not like I can schedule his bowels. We did our best -- rushed to the lab as soon as we had the sample -- only to be told we were more than 10 minutes late and our appointment was cancelled. We were told to wait as a walk-in instead. I've now been waiting here for over 3.5 hours just to hand over a stool sample. The process is beyond frustrating and unnecessarily difficult for parents already stressed about their child's health. There's got to be a better way to handle something this basic. Absolutely ridiculous experience.

The lab office is located right next to the Allied Pacific Wellness Center, but I had a hard time finding the place. Walked into a building with the address listed on the back of the lab sheet only to find that it was not there. After walking around and almost giving up to go to the location in Diamond Bar I finally found it. As I enter, there was no one at the front desk so I peeked in and a lady rudely asks me to take out my ID and insurance card, then yells at me to put signatures and initial. No hello, smile or any greeting at all. It felt like she hated her job a lot. Before proceeding to draw my blood she put on gloves, but no where in between did I see her wash or sanitize her hands before or even after getting the materials. My skin isn't that thick, so the veins are pretty visible from under my skin. I watched as she looked for a vein to poke the needle in and she seemed somewhat nervous. I noticed she tied the rubber band towards the lower part of my arm by the elbow. Initially, there was no pain or numbness at all. The bruising wasn't too bad as well, other than the site of where the needle was. After the blood draw she gave me a cup and told me to leave it on the counter in a basket somewhere. As I walked out she told me to drop it in the basket and hurriedly pushed me out so that she could lock the door right away without putting any signage. There were a few people who tried to come in after, but I don't think they ended up being able to go inside. My arm has been feeling numb and in pain every time I try to use my left arm to pick something up or if I touch it by accident. It has been over a week now and this has never happened to me out of all the times I have gotten a blood draw. My arm seems to be bruising up more and more as the days pass and I'm not sure if I should be worrying. This has been such a bad experience and I do not think I will ever return. The lady drawing my blood was so rude and did such a terrible job, leaving my arm all bruised up and numb. Not only that, but if she isn't washing or sanitizing her hands before and after drawing blood that is a major red flag. I would recommend staying away from this lab at all costs! The workers at the other labs are always friendly and nice at the other labs I go to and I wish I stuck with that instead of venturing out to try a lab I have not been to before. Well, at least now I know, never again.

Maybe its the moutain pile high of cups of people's urine right on the counter where you check in. and none of the urine cups has any bags over them, just cups stacked on top of each other, and no one knows if they are labeled correctly with hand written labels, or if it contains someone else's urine. I came to get a blood and urine test and it was the worst experience EVER. I stood in line for a good 20min waiting. There was only 1 person working, she was checking people in, entering the paperwork AND taking blood at the same counter. The whole place was rather disgusting. No sanitization of any kind. The urine sample collection was a joke. They have a bathroom for urine sample collection but they won't let any of the patient use it. So they directed everyone to the public bathroom across the hall. Which means that I can give the cup to anyone and collect someone else's urine and no one would know. There's no legal collection protocol in place. There's no bag to put your cup in. The whole place is disgusting, urine, blood is not sanitized at all. Avoid if you don't want to get a disease from someone else. HORRIBLE!

He is exceptionally knowledgeable, dissecting questions at different angles for his students/residents. He is also highly compassionate toward his patients. Whenever patients hesitate to take an annual scan out of fear, he would always encourage them to overcome their fear and inform them of the significance of regular screening. After my shadowing experience at SHM, I recommended Dr. Chang to my mom. As a first-gen immigrant, my mom has always been very anxious about seeing doctors in the US. But after her visit, she said Dr. Chang was very patient and informative. He insisted that my mom do a mammogram despite having done one back in China 6 months ago. The most recent mammogram reveals that there are suspicious masses! But thankfully, we were able to bring the situation under control due to early discovery. As a pre-med student, the shadowing experience was educational and encouraging. He is a fun and approachable guy and thoroughly answered all my questions about med school and application. As a family member to his patient, we are thankful for his professionalism and compassionate communication. I highly recommend Dr. Chang!

Worst one, the NP was yelled and didn't even want to listen to the complain, and hung up. Waow! What a service! Super epic. They called, inform about "something" that wasn't a clear instruction, and wanted us to check with a neuro specialist. How to communicate with the next doctor, if the instruction I received wasn't clear? If u inform something to someone, and someone communicate it to someone else, and it became unclear what do you want, cannot give response back, get the hell out pls. Do it yourself. Don't care what u want anymore. When I asked, "nicely"... their response was: oh, we're VERY busy right now, we WILL call you back. PRETT!! "Liar!" And the NP was saying: "don't u understand that we're VERY BUSY!!" "You need to listen to me!" (When she's the one NOT listening!) (After I called 3x and waited for them to call back like almost 8 hours???) Don't u think I AM NOT BUSY MA'AM? I was "too busy" waiting for your response, just to ask, what do u want from the neuro? From the kidney doctor? What the hell u want? Explain it nicely, not so complicated ma'am "busy-in-the-world." I'm sure the doctor is a nice person, but NOT the ma'am NP! She's a fucking bullshit!!! Not a profesional at all. They tend to hanging up their phone OR just blocked u into a busy line, so when u called them, NOONE (like literally noone) will pickup the phone OR listen to your voicemails. Their phone is broken, just like their heart is broken. Probably, just come to their busy office, and see how "busy" they are blocking people's phones call to make a very QUIET room. Wow!! Applause to their profesionalism. That's how they got their profesional degree. Just blocking people's phone, and do prescription till their patient's kidney is broken.
