The service is terrible. The front desk staff are unwilling to help and have a bad attitude. They yell at everyone. Do not come here.

Do not go to this location:19059 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights!!! I arrived there about 12:05pm on 8/11/2023. Sherry, who is a front desk told me that "they got off already". They even have a sign posted on their window shows "Lunch time: 12:30 to 1:30, and 12:15pm is the last walking". I called them yesterday because I do not want to have this kind of problem, but no one picked up the phone, so I called EL Monte location, and someone confirmed to me that the 19059 R.H. location will open until 12:30pm tomorrow. Most people need the blood test by fasting at least 8 hours.... The result you can see what I got; they even do not care you cannot complete the blood draw after No drink/No food for at least 8 hours. Because I called the EL Monte location again and LeHa told me to go to another location today or go back to 19059 R.H. location next week, that means that I must fast again. Their service and procedure are bad, so terrible.

BE AWARE...I obtained a radial nerve injury after having my blood drawn here. There are inherent risks to any medical procedure including venupuncture, however, as a phlebotomist this is your professional specialty and must practice by standard of care to reduce chance for (nerve) injury. This business will be reported for there safety practices. The manner in which the phlebotomist drew my blood was aggressive and careless, she did not give any warning after placing the tourniquet and went into my antecubital fossa at a sharp and deep angle. I immediately felt sensations that ran down my arm and into my wrist and hand. She went too far and there was no blood return, so she had to withdraw and pull back the needle approximately 1cm before getting blood return. This means she went through and through the vein, or too deep, causing her to hit my radial nerve. I am myself a medical provider, and I made her aware that this is improper approach to accessing peripheral veins and that she should not blindly poke as deep, hard, and fast as she did. I have had venupuncture prior where I felt a slight tingle, or brief period of nerve discomfort, however this electrical pain continued to hurt, and she did not acknowledge my pain, she told me it was normal. She continued to draw blood as if nothing was happening, and I was clearly in a lot of discomfort and trying to hold my arm still as the electrical pain continued to shoot down my arm and into my thumb. For being a place where your only job is venupuncture, I don't care how rude or long the intake process is, but the skill-set should never be compromised due to carelessness and feeling rushed. It has been 2 weeks and I still have residual nerve pain, my PCP says it could take up to 6 weeks to normalize. Thanks....will not be returning here if they remain open.

Someone just walked in after I waiting for 30mins. Nurse and him are know each other

Come here for blood test, the receptionist let me feels like I went back to China where everyone was so rude and extremely bad attitudes. I am under LA care which is free medical coverage meaning every one treats badly because of free coverage?

The lab office is located right next to the Allied Pacific Wellness Center, but I had a hard time finding the place. Walked into a building with the address listed on the back of the lab sheet only to find that it was not there. After walking around and almost giving up to go to the location in Diamond Bar I finally found it. As I enter, there was no one at the front desk so I peeked in and a lady rudely asks me to take out my ID and insurance card, then yells at me to put signatures and initial. No hello, smile or any greeting at all. It felt like she hated her job a lot. Before proceeding to draw my blood she put on gloves, but no where in between did I see her wash or sanitize her hands before or even after getting the materials. My skin isn't that thick, so the veins are pretty visible from under my skin. I watched as she looked for a vein to poke the needle in and she seemed somewhat nervous. I noticed she tied the rubber band towards the lower part of my arm by the elbow. Initially, there was no pain or numbness at all. The bruising wasn't too bad as well, other than the site of where the needle was. After the blood draw she gave me a cup and told me to leave it on the counter in a basket somewhere. As I walked out she told me to drop it in the basket and hurriedly pushed me out so that she could lock the door right away without putting any signage. There were a few people who tried to come in after, but I don't think they ended up being able to go inside. My arm has been feeling numb and in pain every time I try to use my left arm to pick something up or if I touch it by accident. It has been over a week now and this has never happened to me out of all the times I have gotten a blood draw. My arm seems to be bruising up more and more as the days pass and I'm not sure if I should be worrying. This has been such a bad experience and I do not think I will ever return. The lady drawing my blood was so rude and did such a terrible job, leaving my arm all bruised up and numb. Not only that, but if she isn't washing or sanitizing her hands before and after drawing blood that is a major red flag. I would recommend staying away from this lab at all costs! The workers at the other labs are always friendly and nice at the other labs I go to and I wish I stuck with that instead of venturing out to try a lab I have not been to before. Well, at least now I know, never again.

Maybe its the moutain pile high of cups of people's urine right on the counter where you check in. and none of the urine cups has any bags over them, just cups stacked on top of each other, and no one knows if they are labeled correctly with hand written labels, or if it contains someone else's urine. I came to get a blood and urine test and it was the worst experience EVER. I stood in line for a good 20min waiting. There was only 1 person working, she was checking people in, entering the paperwork AND taking blood at the same counter. The whole place was rather disgusting. No sanitization of any kind. The urine sample collection was a joke. They have a bathroom for urine sample collection but they won't let any of the patient use it. So they directed everyone to the public bathroom across the hall. Which means that I can give the cup to anyone and collect someone else's urine and no one would know. There's no legal collection protocol in place. There's no bag to put your cup in. The whole place is disgusting, urine, blood is not sanitized at all. Avoid if you don't want to get a disease from someone else. HORRIBLE!

During this time, I watched multiple patients--also without appointments--be seen and leave while I remained in the waiting room. Every person who was there when I arrived had already been seen and cleared out. Concerned that I may have been missed, I approached the front desk and was told they were "short staffed" and that patients had been waiting since 7 a.m. Respectfully, that explanation did not align with what was happening in real time. After almost two hours, I asked again for an ETA, explaining that I had been fasting and urgently needed to use the restroom. Sarah, the staff member I spoke with, said she could not provide an ETA and showed zero empathy or professionalism in her response. This is a healthcare setting. Delays can happen -- but poor communication, lack of compassion, and dismissive behavior should not. Sarah's demeanor and handling of the situation were unprofessional and unacceptable. The lack of empathy shown was honestly appalling. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location based on this experience.

As an undergrad,…read moreI had the opportunity to shadow Dr. Chang over the summer and witnessed his commitment toward his patients and his students. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, dissecting questions at different angles for his students/residents. He is also highly compassionate toward his patients. Whenever patients hesitate to take an annual scan out of fear, he would always encourage them to overcome their fear and inform them of the significance of regular screening. After my shadowing experience at SHM, I recommended Dr. Chang to my mom. As a first-gen immigrant, my mom has always been very anxious about seeing doctors in the US. But after her visit, she said Dr. Chang was very patient and informative. He insisted that my mom do a mammogram despite having done one back in China 6 months ago. The most recent mammogram reveals that there are suspicious masses! But thankfully, we were able to bring the situation under control due to early discovery. As a pre-med student, the shadowing experience was educational and encouraging. He is a fun and approachable guy and thoroughly answered all my questions about med school and application. As a family member to his patient, we are thankful for his professionalism and compassionate communication. I highly recommend Dr. Chang!

They called, inform about "something" that wasn't a clear instruction, and wanted us to check with a neuro specialist. How to communicate with the next doctor, if the instruction I received wasn't clear? If u inform something to someone, and someone communicate it to someone else, and it became unclear what do you want, cannot give response back, get the hell out pls. Do it yourself. Don't care what u want anymore. When I asked, "nicely"... their response was: oh, we're VERY busy right now, we WILL call you back. PRETT!! "Liar!" And the NP was saying: "don't u understand that we're VERY BUSY!!" "You need to listen to me!" (When she's the one NOT listening!) From the kidney doctor? What the hell u want? Explain it nicely, not so complicated ma'am "busy-in-the-world." I'm sure the doctor is a nice person, but NOT the ma'am NP! She's a fucking bullshit!!! Not a profesional at all. They tend to hanging up their phone OR just blocked u into a busy line, so when u called them, NOONE (like literally noone) will pickup the phone OR listen to your voicemails. Their phone is broken, just like their heart is broken. Probably, just come to their busy office, and see how "busy" they are blocking people's phones call to make a very QUIET room. Wow!! Applause to their profesionalism. That's how they got their profesional degree. Just blocking people's phone, and do prescription till their patient's kidney is broken.
