And that's not just this location, it's all Quest location's that do that. I've experienced that with the appointment, you'll be seen right away or in a few minutes at this location compared to other Quest Locations where you have to wait several or even a hour which is unbelievable. What I like about this place is that they're quick with their work and have an easy time finding your vein to get your blood. I've tried other locations and they've always had to poke me a couple times just to find my vein or had communication issues. I've never had any problems with this Location as I'd come and be out the door in a couple of minutes. read more

Had a great experience here! I took my dad to get blood work done here and it was easy peasy. Made an appointment online and showed up for my appointment about 10 min early. The waiting room was totally dead! It was just us. Shortly after checking-in using the kiosk, they called our name. Sonia drew my dads blood and she was great! Super kind and sweet. She was very patient as well as my dads English is not great. Tip: the kiosk will scan your ID and insurance card so be sure to bring that. And always have your lab order printed as they will ask for it. Side note, the parking lot can be quite busy. Either way, a great Quest experience! I'd come back to this location! read more

Most labs will have a computer of some sort that tells you when you're next in the queue when you have an appt but the queue they have only shows stand by's? How does that make sense . I was excited to go to a closer location for a blood draw in comparison to my normal long beach location. I made an appointment online beforehand to ensure I did not have to wait a long time. My appointment was at 815am. I checked in at 810am. I signed in, and appeared to be the only one on the sign in sheet to have had an appointment time. My usual long beach location usually has a sign in for walk ins and another sign in for appointment to prevent confusion. Anyways, I asked the lady at the desk regarding the sign in sheet and she said there was only one. I figured they had their ducks in a row. I waited in the very busy waiting area inside. There was also chairs lined up outside for overflow of clients. The lady at the desk rarely called anyone to go up and she was more involved in the email she was sending to her boss in regards to her tardiness than actual patient care. I normally go up to inquire a follow up as soon as my appointment time is up and have not been called but I figured they were busy and gave them some extra time. I waited until 830am and approached the desk. I informed the lady I had an appointment at 815am and was wondering if I am due to be called. She asked if I signed in and I pointed to my sign in with the only appointment time noted, she said she did not see me and I would be the next client to go in. I was already annoyed by this time due to the wait and her not paying attention to the sign in sheet. Bridget was my phlebotomist and she provided wonderful bedside care. She was friendly, apologized for the wait. I requested for a butterfly needle to be used since they always use one on my small veins. She explained that they usually do that as a last resort to prevent skewing of blood results. I just listened but she agreed to assess my veins before making a determination of needle type. In the end, she chose the desired butterfly needle on my desired arm. the draw went smoothly without leaving any issues or bruising. She was wonderful and she is the only reason why I give this place a 4 star review. Otherwise, it would be a 3. I am torn as to whether or not I will be back since they do not seem to be very organized. read more

Just left this location, my son had a draw a few weeks back that didnt work. So they needed a redraw. When I came back in, they took us back promptly. She was amazingly gentle with my son, and it only took her one try to get blood. My son (2 years old) cried ofcorse. Went here after another medical center failed to be able to draw my blood. You come in with your request form and check in on a tablet and get put in a queue. The queue is in order of people with appointments and walk ins. I was a walk in and it took about 30 minutes and two people got bumped up before me because they had appointments (this was at around 3pm on a Wednesday so it wasn't too busy). Had a good experience. Came on a Thursday around 11:30am For blood to be drawn. Girl outside the door was really nice and greeted me right away. And when I went back in because my arm was swelling the woman at the front desk was talking on her cell phone and I had to "interrupt" her ask her why my arm was the size of a golf ball she just said "oh you're just swelling" and proceeded to talk on her phone. So a few weeks later I went to the Los Alamitos one and the woman there said I should've gotten her supervisors number and reported it. Which was fine, but a "hello, how can I help you?" wouldn't have gone amiss. I was taken pretty quickly without much of a wait, and the phlebotomist who took my blood was very friendly and personable. It didn't take long and I was on my way, with the results automatically going to my doctor within a few days. The only two things I would recommend are one: make an appointment. They say they accept walk-ins but they are booked! Two: bring a jacket. This office is FREEZING. read more

My dad had an appointment for blood work, he could not eat for several hours prior. After the appointment I called the doctor's office a few days later to confirm the lab results were in the doctor office prior to dads appointment. I was told by the nurse Quest only did some of the test, and failed to complete the required test that is on the referral from the doctor. I was unsuccessful in reaching theses folks, there is not direct line to talk to anyone. I rescheduled another appointment. This meant my dad had to fast again. Hes a senior with diabetics, and other health condition. this time I sent a letter asking the folks at Quest to please see the items highlighted on the request form. I cant reach anyone there to ask why they failed to do all the test, and they are only open during business hours, and closed on the weekend. I will not send my dad to this place again. read more

I needed a few blood tests that my Dr had ordered and I just decided to walk in on a Wednesday afternoon. I had to be fasting for the 12hrs prior to my draw and there was one person in the waiting room when I walked in. I gave them my forms and ins card and waited about 5minutes before my name was called. Usually the techs use a baby needle on me because even with my arm tied off its difficult to see any veins. This time she tied of my arm, had me squeeze some vials, popped the needle in, filled up 4vials , took the needle out and I was done. This was, by far, the quickest, most painless needle situation I've ever had. She verified my name on each vial and I was good to go. Unfortunately I don't remember the techs name but she was a tiny Asian woman who was very polite and good at what she was doing. I wish it was always this easy. read more

I have gone to many quest labs and I have always dreaded it. I came to this location even though it's far from my house because it was the first available appointment I could get. BEFORE YOU GO TO ANY QUEST: MAKE SURE YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. It will make the experience so much better especially when there's a lot of walk ins. The staff were very friendly and professional at this location. I had to sit here for an hour because I was having a glucose tolerance test and I have to say the waiting part with all the people was the only slightly unpleasant part of the experience, but that's not quests fault. Wish I could rate this even lower. Walked in at 10:15, and was told the wait would be 1- 1/2 hrs because of being a walk in. That was OK. but then we ended up waiting nearly 4 HOURS!!! Totally unacceptable. NEVER have we waited this long to be seen ANYWHERE, My wife is Blind with ALS, and has to use a wheelchair,. We need to have a feeding tube attached because she is rapidly losing weight. She eats only about 1/2 cup, maximum, of food at a time, and had to fast till nearly 3:30. Even those with appointments had to wait more than an hour to be seen. Two of the employees left about 2:00 PM, leaving just two others to deal with the remaining patients. I come once a year Per. Doctors order. I hate blood suckers, but this place is different. They are always friendly and professional. I went in today for my annual blood test and was out in under 20min. Oh and they did move, they are now on suite 305. Take the elevator or stairs to the 3rd floor and they are to your right. When I arrived I noticed I was waiting longer than everyone else, so I asked the receptionist why. She said that I didn't appear as an appointment. Wonderful! She was able to accommodate me. I did wait about 30-40 mins which was a bit annoying, but at lease she was nice about it and didn't make me wait for a longer period of time. I have blood clots and have to go weekly to get my blood drawn and each time (for the last few years I have been going), it is at least a 40 minute wait or more and today I was waiting 2 hours and 20 minutes! And I am 71 years old! Another patient, who was older than I has been waiting around the same time and was losing it (I cannot blame him), and all the girls at the front desk would say is that if he did not calm down, he would not be serviced. Are you kidding me! Further, since I have been going to Quest, every single time the office refuses to correctly bill for my services and I always receive an invoice emailed to me and the reason being is because the office is supposed to charge Medicare and MediCal, so if one doesn't cover to total cost of the service, the other kicks in. From the beginning the office has had copies of both my cards but still refuses for whatever reason to learn to correctly bill on the services provided. I have no choice but to go to Quest because it is conveniently located above my doctor, but the service continues to be absolutely horrible! A few months ago, I was able to reach out to the regional supervisor for my Quest location and she said she would go out to the office and offer more training, etc., etc., but apparently, that hasn't been done and it was just all talk. This location in Bellflower, CA has no manager or supervisor on duty - it never has - even the regional supervisor confirmed this. How Quest continues to allow this type of customer service, is shocking and unbelievable. Last I checked, you're not supposed to "just draw blood" without letting the patients know what their ordered tests are. Patients rights violation much? I'm not asking you to explain said tests. I just want to see whats ordered. Please change how you draw blood. Its uncomfortable, archaic and painful. My tech cleaned the site for all of 3 lovely seconds. 3 wipes to be exact. Why didn't I say anything? Because it will disrupt her flow and might make her miss. Besides, why do I need to remind someone what they're doing is wrong when they already know it is but do so anyway? And no, "kaiser" does not do the same thing. They let their patients know the exact tests as soon the patient sits down, send the results to both the doctor and patient then have the doctor personally call the patient to explain the results. They even have an app for it. Thats what reviews are for. Wait time was about average. One hour is pretty normal for lab draws. read more

One star for most of my pretty painless prenatal draws. No other stars for their lack of communication regarding the process for the 3 hour glucose test. Phlebotomist claims she told me that there were three draws at every hour to b done. The only time mentioned to me was by the receptionist and that was at the 3 hour mark. Drank 100 grams of sugar for nothing, fasted for over 12 hours and wasted my time cause they ended up canceling. They told me to not leave the building and I was in the building still but at the diagnostic office downstairs getting my fetal ultrasound disc. By the time they contacted me, they had already decided to cancel. Y not contact me when they needed the blood initially??? THEN my doc office told me they ran out of vials, so it was all a waste of time anyways. read more
