NE 42nd delivers another winner. Super cute cafe that's much more than food and drink. Friendly staff, comfy chairs, just a good vibe. The hearty Gaia Bowl with plant base sausage popped with flavor, good portion, good value. The Coava Unparalleled Focus coffee/espresso didn't quite satisfy so I'll opt for something else next time. Buy a plant on the way out.

I finally had a chance to stop in here and have coffee with a friend the other day. I have walked by several times and have wanted to check things out and this local queer business. I am glad that we had a chance to support this eclectic coffee shop/plant store. This shop has a uniquely Portland vibe, yet I've never experienced anything quite like it before -- the lighting, the soft puffy clouds on the ceilings.l the variety of plants and planters area a real draw during these dark, winter days. The owner and staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They have a good selection of coffee and teas and a smaller selection of baked goods. My dirty chai was great as well as the muffin. With tip it came to around $17 and some change. I have to admit that was a bit of a sticker shock to me. But on the plus side, my friend and I got to enjoy our time together in this beautifully curated space and the other customers seemed to appreciate this comfy space as well. I am sure as a small business there must be a struggle and balance of determining prices. For me, I will make time to support their business, especially in this political climate. I have seen so many cool local businesses close and I want to make sure that I am mindful of helping small businesses blossom (pun intended) in our city.

Sunday was the sound bath event. Super excited on that! Enjoyable ! Very cool to have this cafe ! What a gem ! Love the green energy ! The tasty food has great representation!

Fantastic ambiance! Plat friendly food! Amazing place to spend the afternoon! Walking into Queer Plant Café feels like stepping into a little oasis of color, kindness and green magic. The place is cozy and packed with plants everywhere, it's like the café itself is alive and vibing with you. The crew is super chill and welcoming, you feel safe and included the second you walk in. It's not just coffee here, it's community. Food and drinks hit the spot. The menu has solid plant-based choices and you can tell they care about the details. My latte was smooth and on point, and the vibe of the space makes everything taste better. This spot isn't just for grabbing a drink. It's for slowing down, feeling seen and soaking up the good energy. Definitely worth checking out if you want a place that's beautiful and full of heart.

This place is a great addition to the street. Nice hang out cafe to enjoy coffee type drinks , breakfast and lunch. Very veggie and vegan friendly but also have some meat options so a good place to hang out with people with different diets. Service and staff are great and make me look forward to my next visit.

Stranded at PDX during a long layover, Dave K picked me up to go to breakfast and see a few sights. Queer Plants Café was a perfect choice. The Portland neighborhood reminds me of growing up in Berkeley with its laidback, bohemian vibe. Queer Plants Café fits right in. Colors and live plants are everywhere. The bright morning ambiance is completely inviting. The caffe latte hit the spot after a sleepless night in EWR and a transcontinental flight. The Brekkie Breakfast Sandwich was really good and gone quickly. It was such a healthy vegan sandwich although I probably hurt myself by adding sausage. With its friendly service, I'd be a regular here just like my friend. I'd have to move to Portland though. Hmm.

This cafe is so fun! I enjoyed looking around at the plants and other little trinkets while waiting for my coffee. The coffee was also pretty solid and the service was great!

Quite literally the cutest cafe you can ever visit. The vibe is simply immaculate. Attention to detail was placed in everything. The plants and curated merchandise were all adorable. The coffee was delicious and they had creative and fun syrup flavors. Looks like everything is plant based as well! Very welcoming with free WiFi and friendly staff. Don't sleep on this place, it's one of the best in Portland.

Loaded oasis on an everything bag and a cardamom latte with hemp milk

There are no words to adequately express how much I love this place. The drinks were delicious and cute, the food was delicious and cute, the ambiance and decor were adorable, thematic, and tasteful, and the service was astounding. I came to this delightfully chill cottagecore cafe with a friend to study for an upcoming exam, and we stayed here pretty much all day. They have a sizeable dining area with low top tables and bar style seating by the window as well as patio seating in the sun outside. I didn't notice any shade or covering, so outdoor seating may not be a viable option in hot or wet weather. They have a unique if not modest menu of food and drinks, as well as a wide assortment of intriguing plants and plant themed merchandise. I had the cardamom latte and the loaded oasis on an everything bagel. My friend had the rosemary butterscotch latte and the same bagel. Throughout the day we also had some tea, and some sake. We were both blown away by how good our breakfast was. I had to pause after my first bite because I was stunned at how tasty and complex it was. My friend said the same thing about her latte. I really appreciated the pleasant but not too distracting music, and the friendliness of the employees. It seems to me that they are well loved in their neighborhood, as friends and regulars popped in throughout the day. Aside from the amazing food and drinks, what is going to get me to go back is the wide variety of plant themed merchandise and plants they have. Worth noting that every plant has its own name, and they have a clever system that they've implemented of color coded name tags that denote which plants are on sale any given day of the week. I loved this. They also have maybe the widest variety of plant based milks I've ever seen available at a cafe. I personally got hemp milk, which is my favorite milk alternative but I literally NEVER see at coffee shops. The only feedback I would provide is that they ran out of everything bagels pretty early in the day, and as their business picks up (which I have no doubt that it will!) they should proactively address increasing demands on their inventory. The chairs were also a bit uncomfortable, if not very cute. Overall, I would have given more than 5 stars if I could. This place is fantastic and I will absolutely be back.
