Have been going here for years and just a month ago the price was $40 for pedi with gel today I came in with 2 gift cards from my bday I had them with phone the man picks them up puts them in his apron and the vibe all the sudden changes then says gel $20 extra I say 2 weeks ago it was $10 extra he ignores then starts my mani looks like a 2 year old did it all see through I say something ignores again I go to pay with the two gift cards which now comes to $88.27the gift cards totaled 85 then tries to convince me not to use both gift cards. My star rating would be zero! The owner or manager is very rude. When a person walks in to get a pedicure. You're rudely asked if you have an appointment. You say no and you're told we're too busy to provide customer service. When this business had first opened up. I would go there frequently to get my nails done. After today 7/2/2022 I won't go there. Never going here again. One of the male workers was extremely rude. During my time there an older lady mistakenly requested the wrong pedicure. She politely asked if she could do the green tea pedicure instead and the male employee yelled and said, "do you not want the pedicure?" Wtf!! He was extremely rude and it came out of no where. He then began speaking his language and saying things that were clearly directed towards this older lady. The owner stepped in to calm him down and then they began screaming at each other in their language. I may not understand what he was saying but I can tell it was extremely nasty, and it was towards a innocent old lady. Shame on this place. Sept 5 2014 Just moved to Milford area after many years in Manhattan/Brooklyn/Queens with all the great, low priced, super competitive nail salons. I have tried a few places in Milford and Orange and West Haven with poor results. I miss my old place and am trying to find a new one that is as good, if not as inexpensive. I had low expectations but was pleased with this place so I thought it was worth actually reviewing. I have had one basic mani/pedi at Queens Nail but I was happy. My tech was experienced and good. My manicure and pedicure were both very good. Going in, I asked a woman leaving if she came there a lot; she said yes, it's her go to place in the area. The techs were very quiet during the mani/pedi which I prefer so they can concentrate. Cash only tips. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Good hours. Very clean and updated decor. Standard massage chairs during pedicure. Enough space between stations. Drying station shoulder/upper back massage was longer than I expected, and not all places do them. Mani/pedi $30 with $10 callous removal is average for the area. Two disappointments: 1. Callous removal is done with pumice stones, not the grater tool. Natural or synthetic, the pumice stones are only good for buffing after the grater. We all know they do hardly anything. Fail. 2. There are no task lamps for lighting during the manicure. The recessed ceiling lighting is ambient and nice, but it's dim in the back, where I sat, away from the picture windows. A little Ikea task/desk light at each station would be inobtrusive, inexpensive and would make the tech's work environment so much better and make the manicures that much better too. It is a pet peeve I have that the nail station techs are not provided proper lighting to do such detailed work all day. I suggested it to the female manager. read more

I always have a positive experience coming to Queens nail. The place is clean, spacious and as long as you make an appointment, they always take you right away. The staff are pleasant and thorough. The owner is nice but unfortunately she is the only one. The staff is always rude, always obvious that they're judging you, use Adams bags for expensive medicines, and insanely expensive and poorly trained. The nail technicians cannot understand simple designs but charge you ridiculous fees and giggle about it. It's honestly this place as to why I don't go anywhere anymore. I'd rather paint my nails at home than have a nail technician talk about me the entire time- and then pay them absurd amounts. My gel mani lasted 4 days before chipping and subsequently peeling right off. I'm a nurse and usually my hands are subjected to gallons of hand sanitizer, very bad for any gel polish ...only this week I'm on vaca! Only to have my manicure die halfway through. I have gone to Queen Nails three times and every time that I have gone I left feeling like I was ripped off, the prices are different with every visit. This last visit which was December 24, 2019 I walked into the salon and was asked what did I need, not a hello or may I help you? which was rude. Two other customers that came in 10 minutes after me was immediately helped while I sat for an extra 5 minutes to be helped. The technician cut my nails down, put acrylic on my nails, buffed my nails down with a tool without ever trimming my cuticles, after she started polishing my nails and I saw that she had no intention on trimming my cuticles I told her you never trimmed my cuticles, she looked at me defiantly and stated with a excuse of the tool that she used to buff my nails had also trimmed my cuticles. Gaslighting at it's finest. then she attempted to trim my cuticles with the cuticle trimmer after my nails were polished which should have been done prior to my nails being polished. The technician was talking to the owner in their language while she was doing my nails then they would look side eye at me which led me to believe they were speaking about me. I never got a hand or back massage. After my nails were done the technician told me the price but the owner in my three times of going there has always giving me the impression that she is shiesty, she rings me up hands me the receipt to put my signature and then has the audacity underneath her breath to ask me to give her a tip, there were other customers near, that she didn't want them to hear her. I told her no! I put my coat on and left. I will never go back to this greedy, shoddy work, rude establishment ever again. I left out of there with a uneasy feeling in my stomach once again. I will tell others not to go here for any services and hopefully others will do the same, this place sucks! read more

Years ago I had pedi/manis done here because of its convenient location. Yesterday I went on a whim to get a french manicure with tips and SNS powder. Now I remember why I stopped coming. I must say my manicurist ( a pleasant enough woman and great massager) worked hard and took her time but the results were not worth the $84 I paid (tip incuded). The shape of the tips are inconsistent, some uneven and some too thick. I am debating if I should go back and have them fixed. I will probably not use them in the future read more

Clean salon tucked away in the Woodmont Adams plaza. My sister and I went in for a quick pedicure 20 minutes before closing time and they still took us in and didn't rush us out. The place is well ventilated and the fumes were hardly present. I forget if they have free wifi at the salon, but there's a Dunkin' Donuts right next door and you can pick up their wifi signal. Absolutely spotless salon. This is hands down the best nail salon I've found in Milford and it is tucked away in the shopping plaza where the Adam's grocery store is. The atmosphere is very updated, relaxing, and clean and they did a perfect job. I thought the prices were average, but the quality was surely above average - so it's a win! Never again. Every experience I have here leaves me angry and disappointed. Talked the whole time to each other in another language, clearly about myself and my mother. They make up prices as they go along if you want a complicated design, you know, like stripes. I thought the whole place was going to shut down when they all had to gather and converse over the 'stripe' method. I personally felt it was beyond rude, too expensive for a very simple manicure- and you can't tip with a card. I wish I could take back the tip I gave as they definitely do not deserve one. I went here with a girlfriend of mine on Saturday for a refill. The woman I had didn't even pick the skin from around my nail, she was sloppy with applying the acrylic, she cut me with the electric nail file more than twice and when applying the color again it was sloppy. I usually go here when my regular place is booked and was super disappointed my pinky nail on my right hand broke not even two days later. You get what you pay for I guess . Sad. They took me in for a gel manicure and they didn't even change the paper towel in between me and the last client. Their nail polish and skin/nail bits were all over it. I asked them for a new paper towel and they gave me one; after hearing me ask, the woman next to me looked down and saw the same, so she asked for a new one as well. Next thing I know, they're using an UNSANITIZED kit of tools on my nails. I actually asked them to look at the package and read the indicator instructions. Usually the "arrow" on the package would turn brown or orange if it was sanitized chemically or by heat... NOPE. Sad that they don't take the time to put their customers first. I work in heath care and it could lead to infection. Imagine if I was immunocompromised?! Not ok. First and last time going there. Wait was long too. Terrible service! I went with my mother today for her birthday and we both got a mani and pedi. We started with a pedi and used the same nail polish for our toes. After we both did our toes it was clumpy and the polish ran out. We politely asked to change colors so that it can match our nails and the lady went off! I believe it was the owner. We paid $94 for both of ours nails and feet because we also got a callus removal. Anyways. We spent a good amount of money for the lady to not switch our polish! Terrible terrible service! I had to do my own toe nails IN the salon so it would match my hands and she just watched and said nothing! She was going to get a really good tip from us and ruined it! All the other people in their were totally on our side and thought it was so rude. Even 2 ladies walked right out after hearing what happened and then wished my mother a happy birthday. I can't believe there are good reviews on this place. This is the most basic of the basic. There is not TLC when it comes to mani/pedis, its basically a cuticle trim and polish change. Queens offers one of the best gel manis in the area. It will last longer than a gel mani from most other salons. The salon is clean. There is significant room for improvement in customer service which is the reason for only 3 stars. The staff could be more inviting and the technicians are constantly on their phones (texting, gaming or surfing) and often go out for cigarette breaks, which is gross. They also don't offer shoulder massages like some of the other salons I go to. If the salon isn't busy, instead of sitting on their phones, they should ask if the customer would like a massage. Half the reason for getting a mani sometimes is just for a nice shoulder massage. Last time I was there the radio was playing static. So, I'd suggest putting in a CD or taking one of those smart phones and use it to create a nice relaxing playlist. read more

I have never gotten bad service here. Whether I am a walk in or I make an appointment I am made to feel like a priority. The longest I've waited w/o an appt to be seen is 15min and it is worth the wait! The entire staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with whatever you are having done. I am so glad they are located 10 min away and they are my go to nail salon. FYI tips are cash only (good to know). Very clean I have seen them scrub not wipe down the foot baths! I have been coming in the last couple of months to get my nails done. It has always been a good experience with good results. They have the CND shellac which is my favorite because it always lasts the longest. My recent trip I went in to get an eyebrow wax and watched them re-dip the used stick back into the waxing tub which is absolutely disgusting to think of them having done the same while giving a bikini wax. They also told me they only accept credit cards for 20+ dollars. It is unfortunate that this happened as I had finally felt that I found a good salon in the area. read more

This is an update to my previous review. I had to go back to get two nails fixed, they chipped. Two days later, one of the nails cracked. I went to get it fixed once again, but they were closed yesterday (Sunday). I'm not even bothering at this point. I'll find somewhere else to go. I would not recommend getting the gel fill. Plus, the gel nail polish is 15.00 more on top of the 40.00 gel manicure. $55.00 is a bit much for me. I used to go to a salon that charged 40.00 in total, and my manicure lasted a month.
