Having asked in quite a few places in Frodsham and then on the Chester Road, The New Helsby Arms actually agreed. I think we where just grateful to get fed! And boy where we impressed they did, the food was amazing! I had the Mushroom Risotto and Rob had Tenderloin Pork Chops. Mine was lovely but I definitely had food envy especially after trying his! When we go back I am definitely opting for the Pork it was so tender and tasty. Plus on a Monday night it was empty so the service was excellent!

Staff are friendly and willing to advise on which beverage you may like. They also serve food in the dedicated restaurant although i have not sampled this yet. If you like your cask or just a warm friendly pub then give Helter Skelter a go.

Frodsham being a lager drinking town there is a good selection to suit all lager drinkers. A small wine and whisky selections. Not bad but well above average. Prices are average for a bar of this type and in this sort of location. They have a restaurant upstairs which i have never visited. Staff generally are nice although not particularly knowledgeable about all the beers they put on, This if forgiveable as the service is mostly great. The general seating in the bar could be more comfortable but is adequate. One of the better pubs in Frodsham and definatly worth a visit if your in town.

Great little place the mushroom soup was very nice! Full of flavor and served with warm crusty…read morebread. The service was very good, you order your food at the bar and they bring it to you. Good selection of beer and cask ales. The cod and chips was good and the portion sizes was decent.
