While you can find some good Reds, Bengals, Ohio State, and Bearcats items at those stores, another place at Northgate where you can find team apparel is Team Town. Team Town has a lot of Bengals and Reds gear, as well as all kinds of college team apparel, especially for Ohio State and UC. They don't have too much Xavier stuff, which is fine with me, and they also have a decent collection of IU, Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Tennessee items (clothing, license plate frames, car flags, clocks, mugs, decals, stickers, etc.). In addition to all the hats and jerseys and t-shirts from the main local teams, they also have at least 40-percent of the store dedicated to NASCAR and auto racing. While I don't watch or even follow NASCAR, I can respect Team Town for having a huge portion of their store dedicated to auto racing, especially if it's a big "sport" (yes, those are quotes) out in Colerain Township. Overall Team Town is a pretty good store and the staff seemed pretty friendly. Right now there are many items on sale for 10, 25, and 50-percent off, and there are also some really cheap winter items like $5 hooded sweatshirts and a clearance rack (Griffey shirts included).

I walked in and got stared down by an employee at the front cash register. I attempted to walk over to the cost area and got cut off by an employee asking if I needed help and I said no. I continued to browse the coats and noticed two more workers off to the side watching me. As I continued to walk towards the men's coat section there was someone behind me again. At this point and time I decide to go to the hunting section. I continued to be followed. The guy that worked in the hunting department was actually very nice. I saw a rifle I wanted and some camo gear. I walked back to get the jackets I wanted then got followed once again. I just decided to leave. I will not be treated like a criminal or thief or racially profiled. Dick's missed out on a $500+ sale due to their ignorance! My sister went there and the same thing happened to her! One thing they pointed out to me was that the apparel wasn't sorted by item but by brand. For example, for my daughter's shorts I didn't go to the rack where I were presented with all their shorts. No, this was brand X's volleyball shorts. Oh, you want Brand Y's? They're over there. Brand Z, hike to that part of the store. Is this something retail stores do? Sort by brand instead of by item? Do people buy by brand and not leave their brand? And how am I to know how many brands are in the store? This system seems so incredibly....stupid. So I dropped $50 on two items of clothing that, to quote the great Gretchen Wilson "I can get the same damned thing at the Wal-mart store half priced". But I was in a hurry and needed the items ASAP. While in town, I visited the I Love Cincinnati shoppe to pick up a few souvenirs. This is…read moredefinitely the place to go as they sell all types of souvenirs and apparel. You can find a lot of local sports team merch here too. I picked up a couple of magnets and a WKRP sticker. For those not in the know, WKRP used to be an old sitcom from the late 70's-80's about a radio station in Cincinnati. The shop is located on the 2nd floor of the historic art deco style Carew Tower. This tower is also home to the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland. The interior although grand was sparsely occupied by businesses. Ghost town vibes for sure however the grand architecture within the building is worth walking around in. The only difficulty we had was finding parking. This shop is in the downtown area and parking spaces are hard to come by. My husband ended up driving around and picked me up when I finished shopping.

I was a little thrown by that statement on their business card because other than one Cincinnati Reds bandana, I'm pretty sure everything else in the store was Bengals-related. I'm sure they have more Reds stuff in the spring and maybe UC and XU items in the winter, so I won't complain about all the Bengals stuff right now. I just was a bit fooled into thinking there was actually non-Bengals items and stuff from my other favorite teams like the Reds and Bearcats. Cinci Stuff has pretty much any and everything Bengals right now, including some neat original tees such as "Got Carson?," "Carson is my homeboy," "Housh your daddy?", " Housh there it is," and a Bengals rendition of the Goodfellas. Not only were these t-shirts different than anything I have seen elsewhere in town, they were fairly inexpensive too. Other Bengals items I saw included hats, jerseys for men and women, a large tailgate tent, and "Entering Bengals Country" banners. Overall I liked what I saw in this store, and I think they even have a 10-percent sale going on right now on Bengals items, which is essentially the entire store.
