I walked in and got stared down by an employee at the front cash register. I attempted to walk over to the cost area and got cut off by an employee asking if I needed help and I said no. I continued to browse the coats and noticed two more workers off to the side watching me. As I continued to walk towards the men's coat section there was someone behind me again. At this point and time I decide to go to the hunting section. I continued to be followed. The guy that worked in the hunting department was actually very nice. I saw a rifle I wanted and some camo gear. I walked back to get the jackets I wanted then got followed once again. I just decided to leave. I will not be treated like a criminal or thief or racially profiled. Dick's missed out on a $500+ sale due to their ignorance! My sister went there and the same thing happened to her! Never giving this place business AGAIN!

One thing they pointed out to me was that the apparel wasn't sorted by item but by brand. For example, for my daughter's shorts I didn't go to the rack where I were presented with all their shorts. No, this was brand X's volleyball shorts. Oh, you want Brand Y's? They're over there. Brand Z, hike to that part of the store. Is this something retail stores do? Sort by brand instead of by item? Do people buy by brand and not leave their brand? And how am I to know how many brands are in the store? This system seems so incredibly....stupid. So I dropped $50 on two items of clothing that, to quote the great Gretchen Wilson "I can get the same damned thing at the Wal-mart store half priced". But I was in a hurry and needed the items ASAP. So I paid. Otherwise, skip this place.

You can find a lot of local sports team merch here too. I picked up a couple of magnets and a WKRP sticker. For those not in the know, WKRP used to be an old sitcom from the late 70's-80's about a radio station in Cincinnati. The shop is located on the 2nd floor of the historic art deco style Carew Tower. This tower is also home to the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland. The interior although grand was sparsely occupied by businesses. Ghost town vibes for sure however the grand architecture within the building is worth walking around in. The only difficulty we had was finding parking. This shop is in the downtown area and parking spaces are hard to come by. My husband ended up driving around and picked me up when I finished shopping.

No signs, nothing, just abandoned space, you keep walking and then you're like well should we try going up these stairs? We finally found someone and asked how to find the gift shop. Up more stairs! So we went and it was really hot up there. I see another review from 2022 about it being hot so I guess they never did fix that AC :P anyway the guy was nice who worked there, friendly and I felt bad he has to sit in that hot store all day. We got our stuff and left. The little expedition made me think to just grab stuff in the airport on our way home from now on :P It's not only Cincinnati but lots of towns it can be hard to find a shop like this.
