These guys are super cool! We were rushing over to Fleet Feet Sports on a Friday afternoon to pick up our race packets for the 13.1 Cincinnati Half Marathon. The store closes at 6pm, but we were running 10 minutes late. We called the store to ask them if they could stay open for a little longer and they said they would. They actually stayed open half an hour longer than they needed to! Who does that? The store is super cool. It reminds me of Road Runner Sports, but smaller. There is a huge clearance section for women, and two racks of clearance items for men. We found a few things we needed while we were here. Since they were already closed, we want to stay around too long by checking out their choose, or other stuff, but I took pictures of what they had! I would recommend Fleet Feet Sports if you're in to running. They'll set you up there. They have the gear and the gels.

New shoes after Run #1 in them!

This was my first time ever being fitted for running shoes. I loved how much they really cared about getting me into a shoe that felt comfortable and support my feet the way they need! After day one of running in my new Glycerin Brooks, I'm in love and will definitely be returning when I need a new shoe!

First time actually getting fitted for a pair of running shoes. I must admit the staff is knowledgable on the type of shoe that fits your body type and running style. They go out of their way to find the two shoes that fit the best, then left you try them out running outside. I was told prices were a little steep, however after doing the research, they have competitive prices (when they have a sale). You do pay a little more, but once again they fit you for your style. My session was 30-40 minutes long to actually pick out my running shoes. Strongly suggest this place if you are shoe shopping for running shoes.

Busy store, sometimes tough to get the help that's needed. Have a larger selection compared to other Fleet Feet locations in the area.

Have you been to Dicks on Montgomery lately? I'm sure you have as you're all runners out there...I…read moresee ya. Lol Well yesterday the hubby and I stopped in. For many seasons I've been wanting a particular shoe. Not just any shoe-the most comfortable shoe to walk in. And let me just say...it's been elusive to me. Not all of you though because I see ya wearing them and I always say, "Hey! Where did you buy your Hokas around here?? I've been everywhere!" (Obviously I haven't but in my mind I have since I have a nice supply of other brands that didn't make the cut in my closet on my hunt for this brand, lol. Call me a collector.) Before I get to the point-I promise I will, let me just say it's been a couple years since I've been in this Dicks. But last time I was, they didn't have any Hokas, and they had a walking track around their shoes area. After doing a Google search as I was out and about, the hubby was tired of hearing how my feet hurt and starting looking for shoes stores so I thought I should participate. The search kept saying only 3 stores carried them and two of them were in KY. One e of those was Dicks. So we decided to drive to our local one. The point: (Told ya I'd get here ) Making my way to the back of the very clean and organized store, the heavens parted and I heard angels singing-it was really a baby crying but I snapped to reality rubbing my eyes in disbelief at what I was seeing! Hokas!! And not just a few pairs-a whole designated section of them! I promptly shoved my hubby and the crying baby out of the way, calm down this is all mental lol, and made my first pick. Scanned the shoe's barcode in a scanner, and out popped a young man almost instantaneously to serve me. Was it meant to be? Ohh yes. The comfort, the immediate relief on my feet! I was being propelled forward to walk as if these babies were one with body. I boxed them up. Said yes to the shoe. The hubby said aren't you going to try on others? I said, "I found the truth. There is no other. Now go pick yourself out a pair." Lol He did. And he tried on two just because he likes to overachieve. But he settled on the first pair he tried on which, by the way, was the same model as mine only mine are cooler looking. He found the truth too. And the prices were comparable to what's out there so I was happy! Do you want the same experience? Do your feet hurt in your other expensive gym shoes?? Dicks on Montgomery Rd has it. Don't walk-run, but only after you visit Dicks. *Disclaimer: No actual baby was harmed in the writing of this review.

Okay experience we got to the cleat section to get me cleats for baseball. And we waited so long,…read moretheir were two people working and a lot of customers we had to sit around for a while. Then they told us the shoes I wanted they didn't have two times and had to wait even longer. Some really crappy service. We didcied to look in the app and we saw the shoes and finally we we got directions on what to do. We did it we got the shoes finally. Final review 2 stars, still go to dicks it's just my experience.

I have found my new favorite pants! Awhile ago new Athleta catalog landed in my mailbox, as it so…read moreoften does. I do so enjoy Athleta catalogs although they really don't need to send as many as they do. I happily perused this one, not in the market for any new clothes, when some pants caught my eye. On a side note, I'm rather frugal and never pay full price for things, especially at Athleta. So I peruse the catalog and think to myself that I will check back later when styles I like go on sale. Of course, I rarely do that. But this time, I had to investigate these pants. I would soon be flying to London for a two-week vacation. Despite all my travel, I have not acquired a great pair of traveling pants. You know, comfortable for a long flight but not slouchy-looking. I don't want to arrive in London wearing sweats! Athleta showed me several styles of stretch pants that were a notch above leggings and looked quite nice. At least in the catalog. I also had learned, in the past, that new catalog styles do not linger in the brick and mortar locations for very long. So, on Sunday afternoon I dragged my boyfriend to Kenwood Towne Center (which also gave me the chance to finally experience the brand new Lush store!). I'm sure he was just thrilled - but he's a good sport. I lost track of how many different styles of pants I tried on. The sales associates at Athleta are great! I told them which pants I saw in the catalog and that I wanted something comfortable for long flights but stylish enough to wear after I reached my destination. We gathered a few pairs and went to the dressing rooms. Athleta also has a stylist working the dressing rooms and after I told her what I wanted, she brought several more pairs of pants. I like that the sales associates at Athleta are very helpful, if you want help, but they are not pushy. One gripe I had with the experience was some bizarre sizing. Usually at Athleta I wear smaller sizes. There was one style that I fit into a size four, and another that I wore a size 8! This sort of thing would make it hard to order on line... The first pair I tried on turned out to be my favorite. They are stretch leggings, but with a somewhat heavier, twill-like fabric so, while form fitting, ever single curve and bulge does not show. Like leggings should be. Also, this is the first time I've purchase leggings. I've never had any desire to wear them before. These have cool zippers on the hips and will look nice with flats or boots. Perfect! ( I will have use of laundry machines in London so I won't be wearing the same unwashed pants for days.) But I also tried on a pair of skinny cargo pants. I'm in my 40s and have no need for cargo pants. But these are fabulous! They fit like skinny jeans. The side pockets have zippers, not flaps, so there's less bulk on your thighs. They stretch a bit, for extra comfort. They are cropped at the ankle to look chic with flats or sneakers. I'm petite. These pants are not sized 'petite' but they still hit above my ankle. I love them. So much so that I bought both the leggings and the cargo pants. At full price even! I never do that! I decided to test them out before the trip. The skinny cargo pants were snug in the dressing room and when I first put them on, but the waist soon loosened up and had me thinking I should have gotten the smaller size. ( I bought a 6 in these.) But, they do have belt loops so I just have to wear a belt. Athleta also has a very forgiving return policy. In fact, if you wear workout clothes for a workout, and decide you don't like them, Athleta will take them back! The prices are a bit high, but the quality is good. The Kenwood store has sale racks in the back by the dressing room.

I've been shopping more often at Athlete with the holidays coming up, but I ended up buying more…read morethings for me than others! They've been having great sales! Both my sister and I bought the same jacket for a great price. I saw online that they had my size in-store and went to check it out. The salespeople were so nice (which can be challenging this time of year!) and helpful. I also like the reusable shopping bags they use. So environmentally friendly!

Lululemon is one of those places where "you get what pay for" definitely holds true…read more I know for some people, there may be some sticker shock, but it's worth putting a little more money into something that you'll use regularly and is built to last. The majority of their bras range from $50-$70 each, which may sound high until you remember that the underwire you just purchased from Victoria's Secret set you back $65. And those are just for casual wear; not meant to hold you in place when you're on the treadmill or in a downward dog. This location has a nice sized clearance rack right in the middle of the store and they regularly have trendy and adorable bras and leggings of all sizes on it. I've struck gold and have been able to find two of my preferred bras on the clearance rack before! But the thing that really sets lululemon apart from the other shops you may visit looking to purchase active wear would be the customer service, hands down. Every single time I go in, I am greeted with smiling faces and people who are willing to answer any questions that you may have without being pushy. The last time I went, an employee asked me what kind of activities I was into and then helped me pick out which leggings would be best suited for each activity; and she didn't try to sell me on all of them, which is what most places would do. She literally said "stay away from these ones, they are not appropriate for yoga," which was incredibly nice to hear. I appreciate honesty. She did, however, show me a pair that would be able to take one ALL of my preferred activities with ease. They were stylish, sweat wicking and in the 'naked' fabric, which helps them stay breathable. They ran for $128. Again, may sound like a lot but when I'm on the racquetball court or riding my road bike from Loveland to downtown Cincinnati, I need reliable pants. I didn't pick them up because I decided to ask for them as my Christmas gift. I did, however, pick up two new bras and I am in love. I've attacked two photos so you can see the fit. They're so incredibly comfortable! One is stronger support, the other is light support. Long story short: if you like work out gear and nice people then go to Kenwood's Lululemon!

Though I like the new location at the mall, the sales staff has much to be desired :o( . I was…read moreshopping for leggings as a gift and am unfamiliar with the different materials. The young woman who was helping me gave her recommendations, but when I asked about the different fabrics she couldn't give me the reasoning behind them. Shouldn't a salesperson know the purpose for the different fabrics?? I've also been to this location and tried clothing on. No one checked in on me to see if I needed a different size. The sales people here seem more interested in talking amongst themselves than helping the customers. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the sales people seem snobby and aloof. I do like the quality of the merchandise though, but I probably will order on-line if I can.
