Awesome pizza. Crust is light and delicious; toppings are great; holds up and reheats well. Super impressed!!!

The pizza was delicious. Detroit style, great sauce and cheese! Service is friendly.

Cozy little corner shop. Staff was friendly and the pizza went beyond expectations. Next time down the shore, another visit is a must!

This deep dish pizza is out of this world. The crust is amazing. We had the pepperoni and the cheese. Unbelievable delicious.

Pizza is decent, but for the price of a pie here it's honestly not worth it and you've got better options on the island.

Expensive but good quality Detroit pizza. I like this place a lot wish they were in a better location as not much seating

I'm a bit of a pizza snob. This was delicious. Never had "Detroit style" before but am very pleasantly surprised. Definitely a must try.

Amazing. The parmesean crust is truly what makes it. Hot honey pepperoni and the burrata pies were the favorites.

Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? It's all yours anytime of the day. We opted for breakfast (although they…read moreare known for their wings). The young man who was our server was very friendly and helpful. The decor was seaside diner. Ordered at our table...a large western style omelette, fluffy and full of the extras, a French Toast egg sandwich (clean plate club), a plate with a pancake, over easy eggs, home fries and toast, all cooked perfectly. I had the triple decker grilled cheese with bacon and tomato (I think it was called the Happy Waitress), so good, bacon perfect. Recommended!

Stopped in at Chicken & Egg while in LBI with some friends. I ordered the Redneck Benedict, which…read moresounded like a fun twist on a classic, but it ended up being just okay. The flavors were a little bland and the chicken was cut too thick, which made it less enjoyable to eat. The home fries that came with it were also disappointing -- they seemed reheated rather than freshly made, and just didn't have that crisp, flavorful kick you hope for at a breakfast spot. My friends had different dishes, but their reactions were similar -- nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. We all left feeling like the food was a little underwhelming overall. The bathroom was serviceable but not especially clean, and while the service was fine, it wasn't anything that stood out as particularly attentive or warm. On the positive side, the decor was pleasant and gave the place a nice atmosphere. Honestly, that was probably the highlight of the experience for me. If Yelp allowed half-star ratings, I'd give it a 3.5 just for the vibe. All in all, Chicken & Egg isn't a bad place, but it didn't really impress. With so many options around, it's not somewhere I'd rush back to, but I wouldn't call it a total miss either -- more middle of the road.
