I was visiting my family who live in McDonough. They had never tried this little coffee shop so we thought it would be a great idea to try this new spot. We were NOT disappointed. All staff were super friendly. The cashier gave us a friendly suggestion to try the caramel macchiato (I think that's what it was called) and it was delicious! They are now serving their drinks in their glass mugs and they offer milk alternatives.. my cousin ordered almond milk instead of 2%. We also ordered a chocolate croissant, cinnamon bun and ham/waffle pastry. All were delicious! Also, we took a hot coffee jug to take home. If I am ever in town again, I would come back to Queen Bee for sure. read more

Have you ever driven by a place and said "I can't wait to go in there"? Well this was me for like 2-3 years, Ive never gotten the chance to go in until now. I haven't tried a lot on the menu because I've only been twice but let me tell you, those cookies are everything . It kind of tasted like salted caramel chocolate chip cookies. If you're a cookie person try those cookies!!!!!! I also had the salted caramel hot chocolate but If I'm being quite honest the cookie tasted more salted caramel than the hot chocolate. This might be one of the cutest little coffee houses you ever did see. Lots of choices where to sit and hang out. Great for meeting with friends and hanging out in the shade of a giant tree out back. Parking along the street and on the square. Bring quarters to pay the meter. They have an adjoining space now that you can rent out for events. It's very cute. read more

Staff was nice, as always. They have many options for you to sit, including a semi-private room away from the noise of the regular traffic. I come here a lot to plot and plan on my life. Queen Bee Coffee Co has hit their stride and found their niche. After years of avoiding Queen Bee after some disappointing coffee when they first opened years ago, I stopped back in recently (thank you to all the staff wearing masks during the pandemic!) and was impressed with how much better their coffee options and flavors are now. I got an iced mocha and my husband got a latte. Both were flavorful, coffee-forward and not too sweet. We also purchased a bag of coffee beans to take with us and enjoyed their gourmet coffee at home for a great price! Queen Bee has expanded their seating areas and each space is friendly and inviting. It's so nice to have a genuinely good, cute coffee shop in downtown McDonough that isn't just another Starbucks. read more

I'm a long time customer of Queen Bee Coffee. I always love coming in to grab my coffee, and the baristas are always outstanding. That being said, I've always tipped them well. However, recently I've heard rumors that baristas here do not receive any tips paid with credit card (which is how I always tip, and I think most other people do as well!). This rumor was recently confirmed as true. This was very upsetting to hear, as I've been tipping with card a long time, THINKING that the tips that I gave towards the barista's excellent service was going to them. As tips are supposed to work. How is this legal? I will not be tipping anymore, as I don't see the point if it's going to someone else's pocket besides my server. read more

I've had Queen Bee Coffee Company on my bookmarks for several months ever since I made plans to visit a friend in McDonough. It looks like a little country house from the inside-out, and the environment is exactly what you would expect it to be: cozy. The set up is literally a home with a "living room" that has table tops and a "bedroom" that has a few couches and a long wall-mounted table with several rolly chairs. Finally, they have a lovely outdoor patio that I didn't get a chance to enjoy. I was told that every so often, they will have live performances, and cold weather has no bearing with a patio heater nearby! They have a little parking lot just behind the place that will fit anywhere from 6-8 cars. I ordered their seasonal gingerbread latte and loved it. The drink is not overly sweet, the espresso flavor is deep, and the spice is on point. The more I sipped, the better I found it to be. All of their baked goodies are prepared in-house. My friend ordered his usual coffee along with a huge chocolate chip cookie that he ended up giving to me! So good... They don't play your typical "coffeehouse tunes," of jazz or indie-folk, but I loved it all the same. Their playlist ranged from Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" to Eva Cassidy's "Fields of Gold." They have a sound system, so in each room you can individually calibrate the volume based on your preference. read more

A weekly tradition for me! Beans are roasted on spot. The Panama Joe is a forever fave and the thing to get if you like a sweet cold brew. All the pastries are made fresh or locally at Holy Sweet Donuts. Everyone is kind! Take a picture at the mural, enjoy live music on the weekends, and getchu a cinnamon roll on Saturdays! Other favorite treats are regular latte, Nutter butters, and cornflake candy! There's plenty of seating, study rooms, and the Dream Tree outside magically drops the temperature like 15 degrees. read more

By far one of the coziest places in McDonough. The staff is super sweet and everything there is just great! I don't drink caffeine in general and they have several great decaf teas and other drink options for other caffeine-free folks like me :) I love that I can still get a great drink and treat while enjoying the coffee house vibe!
