BRAVO. MOM & POP SHOP GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND. Last year, in the middle of winter, the owner drove to my home from his home, hours away -- our garage door was frozen in the OPEN position. My old wooden double garage door revealed a stocked garage for passers by to see. We were panicking. The owner generously drove to us, and didn't leave until he was certain we were fine and the garage was operating as it should. I would recommend Queen Able hands-down simply based on the owner's can-do, customer-focused attitude -- but his workers are excellent, too. Days ago, one of his men spent an inordinate amount of time performing an annual maintenance review. As always, a positive, friendly, caring attitude was clear. But most importantly, the technician knew what he was doing and possessed real experience in fixing older garage doors. Suffice to say, my maintenance and tune up issues exceeded expectations. I have been incredibly impressed by multiple experiences with Queen Able. *When you call them for maintenance/repair - they do not try to take advantage and push you to purchase a new door. Unless of course, you truly need one. You have to admire that. read more

Your feedback once again reflects our unpleasant experience with you. I am attaching our email exchange for people to see the accurate interaction. After much back and forth, you threatened to place a mechanical lien against me, and I replied that I would provide negative reviews. I said I did not want the door and you said you would take it back. I agreed to it and said I wanted my deposit back. I said I would start again with another company to get a white, not gray door. You said you would get back to me. The email below shows your "amicable resolution." You attempted to charge ABOVE the original cost of the door to remove the gray one. The manufacturer of the door did say that this is their version of white. As can be seen by the pictures, it is not white. It did match the color chip they brought to our house AFTER the door was installed. Again, this is YOUR business and you should know this when you sell a "white" door to a customer who orders from you on the phone based on a brochure. As to the "independent contractor" YOU recommended, he was asked to add two 2x4 pieces to buffer the areas he removed in order to ensure proper support of a large beam. This is not out of the realm of the job he was doing. He obliged and was paid in full and on time. I posted reviews of our experience with you on several sites so that others who search for garage doors will have a full and factual picture of our experience. That is what these sites and reviews are for. Yvette, We are writing in response to your recent email, in which you threatened legal action if we do not pay in full for a garage door that we neither approved nor are satisfied with. Let us be absolutely clear: your company failed to deliver the product we reasonably expected. Your technician came to our home, took measurements, and handed us a brochure from which we selected a white garage door. We were not shown a physical color sample or informed that the manufacturer's "white" would be gray. We reasonably relied on your expertise and representations, and what was delivered does not meet those expectations. Your statement regarding that you truly hoped to resolve this amicably is insulting. You did nothing to offer a resolution. We have decided to complete payment and end our discussion with you. Your company and the way you handled this matter show how little you care to meet your customers' expectations. I wanted to follow up on our recent conversations regarding the garage door installation. As previously explained, the door installed is the manufacturer's standard white, which is the white they offer. Any deviation from that color would have required a custom order and powder coating, which comes at a significantly higher cost. Per our written communications and your deposit, there is a valid contract between us. As such, the remaining balance is due in full. We were advised that if we are forced to remove the installed door, we would be entitled to collect the following from you: The full cost of the door and opener Labor costs for both installation and removal Lost wages associated with this project We truly hoped to resolve this matter amicably, but if the outstanding balance is not paid promptly, we will have no choice but to begin legal proceedings to recover the amount owed. This will serve as our final attempt to resolve this matter before pursuing legal action. To avoid further proceedings, please ensure payment is received by May 16th. Thanks for a wonderful job, Bernie waa great straight forward and pleasant. Third time for us over 20 years, our go to for garage doors!!

Last week one of my garage doors would not open, instead making a clicking sound when the open button was pressed. Doing an internet/YouTube search pointed most likely to a logic board failure. I first called a very large franchise door repair company with many locations on Long Island with fantastic reviews and an amazing website. The tech arrived and after evaluating the problem he suggested a solution of replacing the head, both electric eyes, outside and inside buttons, chain drive as well as other parts, parts that were working fine. He quoted me a price of $1,400. I asked about just replacing the logic board as that seemed to be the likely problem. He wanted no part of that solution because he stated that he was unable to know if the board was the problem and replacing it would be costly. I told him I would be getting a second opinion. He went back to his truck to call his supervisor and returned with a second proposal of just replacing the head unit plus other parts for $600. I was put off because initially only the $1,400 solution was put forth. Not good. Again, I stated I would obtain a second opinion. To his credit, he stated that he wouldn't charge me for a service call and within minutes Emailed me all his proposals. Very efficient indeed. I then called Queen Able Garage Door, speaking with a very nice young women by the name of Yvette. She could not have been more understanding and helpful. An appointment was set up with tech Shawn. He called on the day of the appointment to let me know he was on the way. Upon arriving he looked at the back of the opener and listened to the click. He said, matter of factly, that I needed a new logic board. I was astonished as to how sure he was. I asked how he could be so sure. He said because of the sequence of the flashing lights on the opener clearly indicated that the logic board failed and just needed to be replaced. Shawn could not have been more friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. The board was ordered and Shawn returned today to install. Everything worked perfectly for a fraction of the $1,400 proposal. Shawn set up all my remotes to work and even installed two outside keypad remotes for both garage doors that I ordered from Amazon, programming them as well. Before leaving he also lubricated both doors. Nice touch! I could not be happier with the service I received from Queen Able Garage Door and as I told Yvette today, I have many friends and family members on Long Island who all have garage doors, and I will, without a doubt, recommend Queen Able Gardoor Door based on their honesty, and professionalism. Thank you so much Shawn and Yvette for such a positive experience with your amazing company! read more

I have been a satisfied customer for about 15 years, and have always found the office staff and service people to be professional and very helpful. For no apparent reason, my garage door would not open or close properly yesterday evening. When I called to schedule an appointment for service this morning, Yvette asked me to check the sensors to see if there was any blockage. Sure enough, there was, and the problem was solved. While they missed out on my paying for a service call, she reaffirmed many times over the value of dealing with this company. read more
