I LOVED my experience here. I just moved to the neighborhood and I'm used to $50-60 for designed gel manicures. Queen A was priced super reasonably where for $68 I got a gel manicure WITH DESIGN and a regular pedicure. I worked with Suki and she was so kind! I highly recommend you get your nails done here. Btw they only take appointments by calling!
Terrible place. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! If a nail tech can not shape your nails, which is the basic for a nail tech then they can't do nails. If I could give no stars I would. I work nearby so I thought I give it a try. I asked for a short almond shape nails and they butchered my nails. After I told her that this isn't what I asked for, she then went on saying I can put tips. No thank you, I wanted my natural nails to be short with almond shape, but instead it's all different shapes and size. Also they definitely don't know how to do SNS nails at all. This place is trash. Never again, if you can't do basics then you shouldn't have a shop.
As soon as I walked in they seemed like they were mad I was there. I got my nails done on Monday and less than 24 hours later two of my nails were chipped. I went back in on Wednesday and told them what happened and they fixed it for free but did not seem happy. Oddly enough there was also another woman there that was getting her nails fixed because they chipped two days after getting them done. Now on Saturday two more of my nails are chipped (one being the one they just fixed on Wednesday) and many other nails are already lifting. Keep in mind I work in an office environment so I don't do any heavy lifting, only type on a computer all day. I like to give salons the benefit of the doubt but I won't be going back here. The woman doing my nails did one at a time, meaning she painted one nail and told me to put my hand in the UV light and she kept going back and forth one by one. I've never seen this technique so I tried to be nice about it but obviously it doesn't work. They do offer a stamp card so you can eventually get free services after spending so much money, but I will not be going back.
I made a last minute appt for 3:30 today for my birthday nails and pedicure after a friend showed me her beautiful nails. Tina did an amazing job and made my nails look JUST like the photo I showed her. It did take just under 3 hours but the design was intricate and I appreciated her eye for detail. Will be coming back again!
I barely ever leave reviews but I had to. This salon has such great and lovely designs and nail art in its Yelp photo section and it's why I chose them over anyone else in queens. Scheduling was easy and they were able to take me early. They were very kind and helpful. But at the appointment: - the nude ombré I asked for was way too pink and white. I mentioned this and the lady got frustrated with me. - the man kindly helped and finished it. - I wanted a design and I showed a photo FROM THEIR OWN YELP PAGE. The same woman who did the design in the photo- was doing the design on my nails. It looks so bad and sloppy. And when I asked to fix it she said "No". That's all. I spent $80 on this and they're bumpy and uneven. I'm really sorry to leave such a bad review because they seem like a great salon, but my experience sucked. Attached: 2 photos I referenced FROM their Yelp page vs. my design.....
My friend and I tried this place for the first time and we LOVED it, make sure you make an appointment before you go, and get your nails done by Mariana! Who was so gentle and kind. The French set was a lil pricey ($63) but overall worth it for the effort and attention to detail. The green nails were gel powder and ($43) ps: complementary back massage while your nails dry (:
I came back in after Amanda contacted me. I decided to do dip and Amanda was very meticulous and made sure I was happy with the shape. I left very satisfied. Thank you Amanda!
I usually have a better service but I went two days ago, with appointment, and they reacted like they didn't want to take the appointment. A lady called Cici started doing my nails and it was clear that she was bored. I told her "not to shorten my nails length" she said "yes yes" and did It anyway. I did gel manicure. They made me move my seat and made me stay in a position which it was really uncomfortable. Doing your nails means you gather the money to have a small luxury for you, you want to enjoy your time , I don't mean to treat me like princess but with some respect. I wouldn't post a review but two days after, my nails chip ... so I just lost 33 dollars.
Really disappointed that this is the only salon in the area. I've had issues several times now where I have an appointment where I wait 20-40 minutes to be seated. The one time I waited 40 minutes after my appointment time and they told me it would be another 10-15 minutes so I walked out. There's clearly no point in making an appointment as they don't honor them. I've also seen this happen many times to others. I'm also annoyed as I got a gel manicure one week ago and it chipped. I've never had a gel chip before. Not to mention there's significant growth between the nail bed and the gel already as my cuticles weren't pushed back so it looks like it's a two+ week of gel manicure now. Going to start looking elsewhere
I went in there wanting acrylic but they said that would take too long and didn't have time to do it so they convinced me to do dip powder, which I don't like in the first place. I showed them a picture of what I wanted which was a different shade of blue with some design which they said they were able to do. As they were doing the design it felt like they learning how to do it for the first time. I asked for a coffin shape but she kept making the tips very wide and I kept trying to guide her to shave down the sides but they were just so wide at the ends. I ended up telling them to just get rid of the design cause it was so bad and do a solid color. They also didn't not shave down the dip enough so they're very thick and chunky. Very upset with how my nails came out I paid $53 to get nothing that I asked for.
Updating my review with some more nail art. They are awesome! It always lasts 4-5 weeks. Also they are not pricy their prices are very reasonable!!!!
I should have learned my lesson and not come back here ever again. I wanted some simple nail art, I showed them the photo before we started and they said they could do it. The time comes to do the art and the woman doing my nails couldn't figure it out, she calls over another woman and still they could get it. Eventually the owner comes over and he can't do it either. I just said ok fine just do the French tips, she couldn't even do that right. My nails were horrible, they left polish and glue on my skin and under my nails. The French tips were horrendous. They post some decent nail art on IG but it all must be done by one person, definitely not the woman who did my nails. That same night I removed the polish over the dip powder and redid it with gel polish, waste of money. Check out the inspo pic I showed them and what I walked out of there with... you've been warned.
I've been going every 2 weeks for gel polish and Amanda honestly is the best. My nails have never chipped and she is meticulous in her work. I also have never had to wait a very long time to be seen with an appointment. The prices are a little higher than other nails salons but Amanda's work is so good!!!
Do yourself a favor and just avoid this place. There's no integrity of appointments. I've been here three times now expecting a different result, shame on me right? The owners consistently overbook. I've been sitting here for an hour now, while other customers are getting their nails done. If there is an issue with time management do yourself and your customers a favor and minimize the advanced bookings to create a better customer experience. Three different employees approached me with the same questions while I wait, "you have gel", "choose your color", then the last one proceeds to hand me a nails to choose, yep you guessed it, a color. All of this in an effort to buy time for an appointment they had no business accepting giving the volume. Let's talk about the work they do, it's basic at best. The manicurist are slow, frequently cutting you with the nail file, and blantantly ignoring your request to skip cutting of the cuticles. I'm not returning and I would encourage others to choose a different establishment for your nails needs, this is not the one. read more

This has been my go to spot for powder gel manicures! They have a huge selection of colors to choose from for powder and regular gel colors. Amanda & Leo are the best technicians. I usually get a marble design on one nail & comes to show that not all technicians can do this design. My powder gel manicure usually lasts for 3-4 weeks long without any chipping or nail breaking. They are very accommodating with knowing what to do when your nail breaks/chips. They are familiar with nail shape terminology & know how to shape them well! Time frame for manicures are around 45-60 minutes depending on who does your nails and if you get any design. If i do get a pedicure & manicure, the time frame is close to two hours (paid parking purposes). It's more convenient to book an appointment in advance. Same day bookings are usually available. Walk-ins are usually around a 15-20min wait. read more

Summary: My friend and I visited on Saturday at 1:00 pm. We made an appointment for dip powder and it was a wonderful experience! Although the place was extremely busy, they immediately accepted us and started on our nails. As long as you make an appointment, the wait will not be a problem. They did not rush, and took their time on each individual nail. The prices are very fair, and the staff were extremely friendly. They had so many color options as well, and were patient with me as I spent time choosing the right shade. I would absolutely come back if I am in the area again! Prices: Not including service tips and tax - I paid $43 for dip powder and my friend paid $53 for dip powder with glued tips. Extra: They also offer additional services complementary, including hand massage, warm hand towels, and a quick shoulder massage. Gloria did my nails (the dark green)! My friend didn't get a chance to get the name of her technician, but she loved her as well. Loyalty: They offer a loyalty program, where you get 1 point for every dollar spent. I didn't get a chance to look at the full menu clearly, but I noticed you can get a full dip powder set once you have about 250 or so points - a really good deal! read more

Visiting from Florida, hospitality is okay but everything was horribly done from my toes to my nails. I asked for a tip on just my two big toes, a man put acrylic and super thick that it hurts when I wear sneakers. Spanish lady that did my nails cut me and she don't know how to do French, no definition lines not straight and you can see me previous lifting through the new nails, just UGLY! And than charged me $65 for JUST A FILL and $45 FOR JUST A POLISH CHANGE ON MY TOES. And had to nerve to tell me a needed to leave a tip. $120+ on ugly ass toes and nails. Y'all need to be out of business seriously. I'd never recommmend. If I could I'd leave a -5 star read more

I went to this nail salon and showed them a picture of the nails i liked, which was already done at this nail salon. I made the appointment over the phone and asked for leo, he estimated it to be around 50 or 60 if i added a design. when i got there leo said i would be taken care of by another person, which was fine. I showed her my reference and told her i didnt want them too long or pointed. Due to the language barrier and repeating myself a couple times, i let her do her thing. Im not going to lie, they turned out very nice and appreciate how dedicated she was. However, i was not happy with the length or shape. After i received the total i was a bit upset, as i had already spoke to someone over the phone and roughly estimated it to be around 70 or 80. I was charged 98!! obviously without tip. But i know this was not worth that much and friends who constantly do crazy nail art agreed. read more

I've come here a handful of times by now, I was never too pleased or too upset with the service I got. I really tried to like this place because my friend is a fan but all I've gotten were gel manicure and pedicures that never lasted it's money worth. I've gotten cheaper manicures that lasted me wayyyyy longer than these guys. But this last time I went...it permanently horrified me and they successfully lost me as a customer. I was getting SNS and the lady (I don't know if she was new or what) but she made me nails look so fat because she didn't shape it after putting on the powder. Before she put on the powder, when she was filing my nail, she filed A DAM DENT into my finger!!!!!! LIKE WTF!!!! You can see in the picture I attached. The picture doesn't even truly capture the dent. But anyway, it freaking hurt and she kept doing it to my other fingers. Thankfully it was not as bad as this one. But now I have a dent in my finger, thanks to Queen A Nail. Love it! read more

It was very crowded in there.. very busy on a Friday afternoon. Had to wait outside 20 minutes past my appointment time and had to remind them that I was still sitting outside. My gel manicure lasted about 10 days and started chipping.. wasn't too thrilled about that. Pretty pricey. Probably won't go back :/ read more

I checked out their instagram and was impressed. Came in on a Monday late afternoon and was seated right away. I got a powder gel tips with glitter ombré and it came out to $63. Everyone was professional, friendly, and understood what I wanted and delivered! I'm happy with how my nails came out and hope they last a few weeks like my other experience with powder gel. Update: Went back again and had a fantastic experience. I recommend getting a spa pedicure too! read more

Quality has gone way down. I have been coming to Queen A for 5 years, but there are new workers at the salon in 2023. Sonia did such a poor rush job, there is still gel polish on my skin! No cleanup, and did not listen at all when I was expressing my thoughts about the shaping not being straight. Her application was way off, after two coats the color was still very sheer, for the 3rd coat she put a whole glob of gel without cleaning up the nail. Very poor experience this last visit and I will not be going back. read more

Leo was available when I called the same day. I came in to remove my powder gel and get a manicure. I spent about an hour at the salon which was a bit longer than expected, but it didn't bother me much. The lady who took my powder gel off did a nice, clean job, sorry I don't know her name. Leo did an amazing job with the manicure. My nails were already shaped, so Leo just did a clean up, but his skills at painting the nails were remarkable. Since it's Halloween week, I chose OPI 'Lincoln Park after Dark', and I could not be any happier with this $10 manicure by Leo. Thank you! read more

Yesterday was my first visit to the salon and I was very pleased with my experience. They maintain a clean facility, and especially with the COVID-19 outbreak in NY they are taking extra precautions. They made sure to thoroughly clean and sanitize their work spaces and all clients and workers had to use hand sanitizer before any contact. (As of today, the salon has announced that they will be closed until further notice.) I got powder gel tips with an ombré design, for a total of $63. Since Leo is one of the more popular nail techs, I decided to make a reservation with him. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and we discussed the different color and design options. Though it wasn't exactly what I imagined, it still came out beautiful and the person sitting next to me was inspired to get the same thing. A couple of things to keep in mind for your visit: 1) Try to choose a design from their Instagram or Yelp pages, so you're more likely to get what you want 2) Make an appointment, esp if you want Leo or Amanda, because they seem to be more popular. read more
