Pulled pork

We enjoyed this place for lunch during our short three day stay! The service was great! All of the food was really delicious and fresh. The seafood chowder, pulled pork sandwich, chicken wrap, and chicken tenders were all good. The bread pudding dessert was very good! The coffee was terrible and they need to work on that. Service was excellent and friendly. I would definitely eat here again but I would skip the coffee.

A really like a 2.5 if not for the nice location and many outdoor seating. The outdoor seating was very nice. The chowder was good. The caeser was good, but pretty bog standard. The halibut fish & chips were good too, although breading was a little thick and sucked in a lot of oil. The baked salmon dip was more like a gratin. Probably better of selling it as a gratin. Pairing it with naan made the whole thing heavy. I would have preferred crackers or chips. Or maybe celery or something? The contents of the taco were good, and the mango salsa was nice, but I would have preferred the thousand island dressing not be drizzled all over the taco. Overall, not super motivated to come back if I visit Campbell River again. I'd likely opt to explore other local restaurants.

Nanami dusted calamari

I'm surprised this place has such low reviews! My dad has been coming here twice a week for the past few weeks and I went last night for the first time - it is so good! I had the poke salad which was great but if I came back I would just get alllllll the appetizers - best calamari and fried oysters I've ever had! Make a reservation if you are here in the summer. They have a hard time adjusting to the influx of people staying at the marina so even if a bunch of tables are empty, they are understaffed in the kitchen so they keep some tables empty. They don't want to overload the kitchen and give people slow service, which I appreciate. So the one downside is that you come in and it seems half full, but the wait time may be like 20 minutes for that reason.

Good food & drinks and a nice location near the water. The halibut tacos had great flavour and a nice presentation. The outdoor seating is nice but the extended area is pretty much on the sidewalk.

This place is right on the water. It's outside patio provides a beautiful view, and wonderful scenery. However that's really the only thing this place has going for it. I ordered the BBQ beef burger and the Pacific rim chowder. The chowder itself wasn't bad. A tasty amount of shrimp (but seemed like frozen shrimp) and salmon, but it was a little thin for a chowder, overall it wasn't bad, but I wanted more. The burger. I don't get why people won't make their own patties, but use frozen burger patties. I don't mind paying $18 for a burger, but when it's frozen and not scratch made, they turn out dry, flavorless, and a little sawdusty. The overabundance of sauce does little to make up for it. The onion ring on top was tasty though. Go for the view and glass of wine. Maybe an appy.

the front of the restaurant

The restaurant was very busy and I came in with 4 adults and 2 kids on a Thursday afternoon. 4 server passed by and not one person acknowledged or stopped to greet our party at the door. Extremely rude as everyone looked and just turned away. No service so I give it a 1 star because I can't give no star. Small place with obvious labour shortage but the unapologetic customer service only made it a worse environment. Don't go and if you do be prepared to wait or serve yourself.

Best place I've eaten here in Campbell river! They have seating right on the ocean front and good service! They're more pricy but defiantly worth every cent. Seafood is amazing aswell

Very friendly staff and they all were engaging Fresh tasty salads Interesting homemade dishes with a few spins on them and a ton of flavour to follow Great homemade deserts too I guess you get great food when you have owner/chief working the kitchen - excellent A few items on menu I definitely would like to try when I'm back in the area

I was excited to come here for dinner on the water- however I wish I made another choice. Upon arriving I waited about 5 minutes to be told the hostess will seat me. I was seated on the patio with a great water view. I waited an additional 12 minutes (yes I timed it) before flagging down a server who was more than indifferent to my woes of waiting to take my order. I won't bore you with further details of my dinning experience but the seafood noodle bowl was just "OK"- bread pudding for dessert...... uninspiring. The presentation was nice as was the location - perhaps it was an off night or perhaps I wasn't prepared for the lack luster service and "adequate" food offerings. I am visiting for another 2 nights perhaps I'll go to Boston Pizza tomorrow for dinner.

After driving for about 1.5 hours and find Sue's B & B and Brown's Bay Marina Restaurant both closed, we were super hungry when we finally arrived at this place. This is a really small "hut" and when we approached, we weren't even sure whether there is real food or it's just a convenience store. We were SUPER excited when we discovered that they served food. The place was small, cozy, and packed with people. There was only a lady cooking in a home-style kitchen, so don't expect your food to arrive that quickly. People also seemed to know each other, and I've never felt that way in Vancouver before. My husband ordered a seafood chowder and salmon grilled cheese while I ordered a seafood melt. The portions were very generous, and the food was SUPER good. DID NOT expect food to be at that quality AT ALL when we first entered. Highly recommend this place for anybody going to Campbell River for whatever reason. One thing special to note is that they allow dogs to go in, so some people may have problems with that. I love dogs though.

At a…read morerestaurant of this caliber, where the dining experience comes at a premium, we expected service to match. Unfortunately, it fell far short of what one would reasonably expect from a fine dining establishment. My husband and I had a very disappointing experience here this evening, especially considering the price point. We spent $200 on a mussel appetizer, halibut, and lobster, expecting a fine dining experience--but the service fell far below that standard. As people in recovery sober for over three and a half years, we specifically ordered virgin drinks, yet were served mussels prepared in a wine-based sauce recommended by the server. I also received the wrong drink twice. Most frustrating of all, we waited over an hour for our entrées while a nearby table of six was seated, served, and finished their meal before ours even arrived. When we tried to understand what maybe taking place behind the scenes and asked if they were short staffed with the chefs in the kitchen. We were met with rudeness and told our seafood needed its own ovens to cook in. For being the only ones in the restaurant filled with a horrible ambience I can see why others have said the same. It's always best to check the reviews. They may just favor locals. We were truly looking forward to this meal, but left feeling disappointed and overlooked. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant and would advise others to dine elsewhere.
