I came here on a school trip and ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The chicken was actually really good, but everything else about the meal was disappointing. Some of the pasta was raw and hard to chew, and the Alfredo sauce mostly tasted like straight butter instead of a creamy Alfredo sauce. I love the pizza at Quattro Formaggi! It reminds me of the pizza I had in New York. There are lots of choices on the menu, and I adore Pizza L'Amour. It's delicious. I love their pizza topping choices in the Gourmet New York Style Pizza section of their menu. Probably my least favorite pizza place in Old Town thus far. I got takeout and my leftover pizza wasn't even worth sticking in the fridge for later. I knew I wouldn't finish it. I maybe had two bites of the garlic bread before moving on. Feel like due to its location this place is really there for the train and hotel crowd. If you want to eat at a mom & pop type spot, this is the place. It's definitely a lot bigger than what it seems from the outside. They do have outdoor seating. The service behind the counter is pretty good and there isn't table service. So you have to clear your own dishes. It's a NY pizza joint but they have some other dishes. I had the chicken kabobs for lunch and they were delicious. My friend had their personal white pizza, which was also very good, and it can feed two. When you pay for your food with a card listen carefully... the card reader connects to the internet with dial-up service! Now that's old school! read more

Best New York style in Alexandria by far. This place is so great. I feel bad for the small family that runs the shop and has been for over 20 year that has all these bad reviews. Has been my favorite pizza spot forever. They do have thin slices and its not over the top pizza but you get exact what you want, a good pie from good people. Really recommend anyone to try it. Now I'm mad I could've been enjoying this place for years as I travel quite often to the area. OK the ambiance is nothing great -- old school pizzeria, not a problem for me at all. It is clean and the food smells....bliss. Upon entering a nice gentleman came out to explain they were expecting bus loads of kids and would we mind dining outside. It wasn't the best weather but after a day in office I enjoyed being outside and under a cover as rain drops did begin to fall towards the end of my visit. I started with a garden salad with house Italian dressing then went with the recommended award winning Bianca margarita pizza (pictured). Wish I had a picture of the salad but I wolfed that yumminess down in record time! So fresh and the housemade dressing Next was that awesome pizza. We enjoyed several meals here while staying at the Embassy Hotel. We kept coming back because there was an excellent variety of Italian and Persian dishes. We never got bored with their menu as there lots of choices to match your mood. The service was great and prices were reasonable given their touristy location. There's an abundance of indoor and outdoor seating. The beverages are in a refrigerated display case behind the counter and they don't seem to rotate their beverages appropriately, resulting in an occasional flat soda. This was definitely not what I expected, based on the yelp photos and the website, which looks very nice. Every single surface is so sticky. They only begrudgingly take credit cards even though it says they'll take cards in the window. Didn't get a receipt so no idea if we were charged correctly. Even though it's Saturday lunchtime and the Christmas market is running just outside the door, there are only two guys working (probably explains why the tables aren't bussed or wiped). The water is "not good" which makes me wonder what they cook with. On to the food... kids chicken tenders were way way over cooked - rubbery, inedible. Fries were weirdly seasoned. I think calling the pizza here NY style is a stretch! I ordered a large pie, two orders of wings and picked up a large pre-made Cesar salad. The food was average. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. I felt like the inside conditions of the restaurant could've been better. The older woman who prepared the food was nice and friendly, but the guy who I assume owns the place was a little rude and dismissive. He didn't acknowledge us at all, and acted like we didn't even exist. Good customer service goes a LONG way! I guess his poor attitude is why the restaurant was 100% empty during our visit. We were on our way to Pot Belly's but it was a downpour while walking so we came here instead. My friend is from NY and very critical of the pizza. In his opinion- this was not NYC style....... However, he did like it. He just didn't care for having chicken with his pepperoni pizza..... why order it then ‍. Staying next door in the Embassy Suites and decided to grab dinner here since it was so close. All of the good reviews were for the pizza but we decided to give the pasta a try. Ordered the quattro formaggi fettuccine, added chicken, and it was so good Came with delicious garlic bread and a huge side salad with a homemade Italian dressing. So we ordered a bacon cheeseburger pizza, wings and an Italian sub. Wings were good, but they are baked and seasoned, not sauced and fried like traditional buffalo wings. Ranch was delicious. Italian sub was good, but we asked for it hot/toasted and those instructions were not followed. On to the pizza.... I ordered a BACON cheeseburger pizza. Upon opening the pizza, amongst the anemic topping portions, it looks like it has ground beef and ham. I call up the restaurant and tell them that they put ham on my pizza instead of bacon. As others have echoed in other reviews, the manager told me that this establishment uses turkey bacon, not real bacon. Had I seen the reviews on yelp first, I never would have ordered it. He further goes on to tell me that "people like it better this way". He also told me that "people like the fact that it has turkey bacon because of covid". I guess i didn't get the memo that covid spreads more easily through pork products. I proceeded to tell him that he needs to change his menu to reflect what he is actually selling. I've passed Quattro Formaggi many times so I finally decided to try it. First impression walking in I was unsure if they were open as the lighting was dark/half the interior lighting was not on. Upon ordering, the older gentleman working the register asked us to pay in cash. We stated we only had enough to tip in cash not enough for the entire meal. He became frustrated and said he preferred cash, which is understandable for small business especially during covid however, he was very rude about it. Had we known or there been a sign prior to ordering we certainly would've brought more cash. We put all the cash we had in the tip jar and even tipped on our credit card and the man went into the tip jar picked up the money and threw it back in there as if it wasn't enough. Next I asked where the restroom was so I could wash my hands. He grew angry again and said the bathrooms don't work but I could use the one on the left. Once our pizza and bruschetta arrived we asked for plates at which time the gentleman was rude again and could not understand why we wanted plates. I noticed while there only two people came and both ordered to go. I think based on the above comments it could be why. The bruschetta was by far the best I've ever had. If I could put no stars, I would. During tournament season, our U17 soccer team usually goes out for a meal after our last game of the day. On March 8th 2020, our team went to Quattro as we saw the great reviews of their food. We were very excited to sit down and have a great meal after being outside all day. Upon arrival at Quattro, we entered the establishment where there were two men with their arms crossed. Since I do not want to provide any unnecessary details, we were turned away. The two men told us that we could only order pizza and nothing else off the menu. They also were very adamant that they would not split the bill. I am very disappointed in this establishment as they could have easily made a minimum of $300-$400 that day. And, to add the cherry on top, there was no one in the restaurant when we arrived. Luckily, we were able to find a Paisanos nearby that provided us with 5 star service. Quattro Formaggi has lost several customers who will not think twice about eating at this establishment. read more
