I really enjoyed this quarter - it is the square quadrant called St Severin next to the St. Severin church and directly South of St Michel metro and Notre Dame.
We stayed next to the church in the Hotel Parc St Severin. A nice boutique type hotel. We were a very quick walk to several metro stations, and I really enjoyed that the hotel was on two main walking roads that did not allow cars.
Additionally, there are lots of little restaurants and tourist shops in the couple blocks surrounding that I felt safe and involved all the time.
I would completely stay in this quadrant again before the Champs El., Marais, Eiffel Tower, or other areas. This was the perfect central locale for all of Paris! read more
