This is a fine choice in the 8th. It is in a quiet neighborhood with great restaurant choices within a short walk. Down Rue du Rocher is more to do, such as the Galeries, the Opera, more cafes/shopping/bars. You are between two subway stops on two lines.
The rooms are typically sized but so comfortable. The decor is half authentic half a bit dated, but once my head hit the pillow I slept great.
The front desk was great - 24/7 and bi-lingual. Breakfast is included and is a nice variety of cheeses, fruits, baked goods, with bacon and eggs. Great coffee.
What is also unusual is the amount of public space on the street level: a bar, salon, parlor. There is an outdoor patio that was under construction on my visit.
A recommend. While no guarantee, my room was ready for me at 9AM, and they did not rush my checkout. read more
