Wow! Such an elegant beautiful experience! We visited a few months ago and had cocktails at Le Bar Kleber, loved it so much. The space is lovely, the bartender amazingly talented, and the cocktails so delightful.

What a beautiful place to enjoy some drinks close to the Arch! My friends and I decided to make a spot here to grab some drinks in the evening. We were enticed by their outdoor area during the holiday season. They had tables set outside that had heaters and Christmas lights strewn across the plants outside, and as well on a make-shift ceiling outside. We went up to the greeter when we arrived and asked if it was ok if we could be seated outside for drinks. He said sure and allowed us to choose our own table. After about five minutes a server greeted us and asked us what we'd like from the menu. I ordered a 1664 while my two other friends went with a glass of wine. The space here is really cozy and well decorated! It's a good escape from the craziness of the Champs-Elysees and also is beautifully decorated inside as well. I'd be sure to wear something nice coming here as well. Doesn't seem like the type of place for jeans or too much of casual wear.

The dark, uncomfortable, poorly configured seating in the bar.  Not the place for a private conversation for two.

In six words, very nice but not worth it. When you want to charge $1000/night for a hotel room in Paris when some very nice hotels run at half that, you better bring something really special. In terms of the building they do. It's beautiful -- from the outside to the inside to the amazing terrace (which is what tempted me to stay here) to the sculpture in the lobby. In terms of the room, it was nice and such. Good size. Pretty furniture (if a bit dark and serious -- kind of a metaphor for the hotel, in fact). But ultimately impractical. The beautiful bathroom had a leaky shower that almost killed me (think: wet marble). The desk was too low and the chair too small for me to be comfortable working. The beds in the twin bed rooms a bit too narrow. So while those basics are absent there are no fewer than about 10 little touchpads that somewhat awkwardly control lights, temperature, curtains and such. The battery on the primary ipad died on my last day leaving me to call housekeeping to get back full control. The bar is another example of beautiful but not practical. It's too narrow, the seating is configured poorly, with the result that everything's a hassle when people show up. They blocking tables as reserved when they clearly aren't, presumably in case someone more important than you shows up (which actually happened to me -- while I was in the bathroom, they moved my things without asking when someone wanted my place at the bar). The result: it's not a relaxing place to go grab a drink, much as it looks like it might be. There are two key problems here: the prices and the service. Price-wise. 61 Euros for breakfast and you can't really work around it a la carte because, e.g., a fruit plate is 24 Euros. 25 Euros to wash a shirt. 22 Euros for a glass of basic champagne. 28 Euros for hot and sour soup in the Chinese place. Service-wise: I had to wait nearly 3 hours to get my room on check-in which started my trip on the wrong, jet-lagged foot. The best service by far is from the bellmen outside and in the lobby. The bartenders were overly formal and arrogant. The waiters in the main restaurant were also excessively formal and couldn't manage to get basics straight, like "cafe au lait" which, after 5 years of living in French, I can manage to correctly pronounce. The general sense is of very busy, very formal servers all too busy to serve you in case someone more important comes along.

I was absolutely memorized by the beauty of their outdoor seating arrangements!! It was entirely lit up by Christmas lights and gave it a magical vibe! My party and I decided to grab some drinks outside since they conveniently had heating lamps for each table. Service was impeccable, everything you would expect from a high end establishment. My friend and I each ordered a glass of rosé while my bf got a beer. We had a great time chatting in what felt like such an intimate space (granted it was a little empty since it was on the chillier side)! The inside of the actual restaurant was also GORGEOUS! It felt like I walked into an elegant mansion as I made my way to the restrooms (which was also very grand). Chandeliers hung about every 10 feet of each other - man this is really the place to be! It is on the fancier side so I would be prepared to dish out some money if you plan on eating/drinking here. Overall this was a great place to stop by near the Arch! Would definitely recommend coming here for a little holiday festivity!

Luxurious, opulent hotel a couple of blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. The rooms were gorgeous with state-of-the-art technology throughout. This is also the first hotel I have ever stayed in that has mastered the art of total room darkness. There was, literally, zero light in the morning through the windows and we could not believe how late we slept. The spa and pool were also incredible. This is a very expensive hotel and that coupled with the fact that I hardly saw any other guests made me question my own sanity for selecting this incredible (but pricey) property.

Lovely evening at the Bar Kléber What's more amazing than an historic bar within an historic palace? After passing the bright and luminous grand lobby of the Péninsula, you may reach a contrasting rich, luxurious wooden, golden and ornamented décor. With the addition of the lovely covered terrace that stretches along the imposing entrance to the hotel, this is the fundamental sophisticated and cozy ambiance that awaits you at the Bar Kléber. Although it makes pictures quite a challenge, the dim lights really brings the mood to a chill and pleasant character. After a discreet welcome during an already advanced night, I was seated in the corner leather chair with full view on the bar action and the two majestic and gigantic albino peacock paintings, I hope it was intended as a nice wink to the other rooftop restaurant-bar called L'oiseau blanc. I definitely saw it as such. However, like other of my usual highly specific and odd questions, I was left unanswered. The only time we were addressed was for taking our order. The rest of the time, the staff was swirling and posing behind the bar. As professional as they were, I wish I could've been introduced to the head bartender or bar manager. I wish I could've found out if they truly use the Champagne Deutz special edition specially made for the Peninsula, the inspiration behind the cocktails or what was their favourite thing about the bar, for example. I understand a distant and inconspicuous service approach is a talent and advantage in many cases, but i'm more curious than normal people. In any case, we had a great time and great cocktails. The cocktails list is quite classic and classy in style with intricate combination of standard alcohol with fresh ingredients. I especially liked the Pen Fizz #2 (Timul pepper infused vodka, lychee, rose and raspberry cordial and of course Champagne). They were all fun and definitely tasteful. What a great way and place to meaningfully spend the evening.

One week in a Paris Paradise! Atmosphere: 5/5 As soon as we were dropped off a regal feeling filled the air! The exterior of the hotel is classic and beautiful. The lobby entrance has a gorgeous centerpiece dangling from the ceiling. Service: 5/5 Impeccable service! After checking in, we were guided to our room and showed all of the amenities our lovely room had to offer. The concierge is also very helpful with any and all questions we've had about the hotel and Paris in general. Rooms: 5/5 Beautiful and very high tech! A single central control unit controls the lights, curtains, fan, music, television, and offers information about the hotel and sight seeing in Paris. Room includes: Toto toilet, Oscar de la Renta soaps and lotions, valet box, nail dryer, and much more! Upon arrival there was also some delicious chocolate waiting for us in our room :) Amenities: 5/5 The hotel offers a house car every evening, which will drive you anywhere in Paris (within reasonable distance). Beautiful indoor pool and spa. And very helpful concierge. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel! It's on the pricey side, but it's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at!

I would not recommend this hotel to travelers who prefer modern decor. But what's lacking in decor, the hotel makes it up in their location, friendly customer service, comfy bed, and great patio over looking the Eiffel Tower. Yes, you have to pay extra to get rooms with Eiffel Tower view but we found it to be worth it. We enjoyed waking up to the view in the morning and admiring its glittering lights in the evening. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. It's literally a few minutes away from all the luxury shops, across the street from Cédric Grolet cafe (take-away only), and the famous Cafe Angelina. The Lourve was app. 15 min walk from the hotel. A few upgrades in the room would be recommended: coffee machine (vs calling for coffee or going down to the lobby), mini fridge that's not stocked so we can put our drinks, ice machine (although we would always get our ice on the double whenever we asked for it - kiddos!). I also think newer and updated furniture would also go a long way. We bought the room with the Eiffel Tower and we were lucky to be upgraded to the suite which was amazing! It has 3 small patio overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Seperate large bedroom and living room. The living room has an outdoor patio great for private sunbathing. We arrived in Paris by train, traveling with my small boys and a big piece of luggage, and took the subway to Place de l'Opéra, a mildly arduous journey. We walked to the hotel and tried to check in, only to learn that the Park Hyatt would not accommodate us unless we upgraded to a much larger, much more expensive room (we'd neglected to mention the two children in our party when we booked). After much back-and-forth, my mom booked us a room at the Hyatt Madeleine, a more reasonable hotel that still gave us the benefits of her Hyatt status. It was supposedly a short walk from the Hyatt, but we spent a good twenty minutes schlepping across Paris with the children and luggage. (Very grateful to my saintly friend Ava B., who offered key support as a third adult in this unruly party.) Which is all to say, I loved this hotel the minute we walked in, reaching our destination an hour and a half after arriving in Paris. Check-in was smooth and pleasant, and we were welcomed with glasses of champagne, which we quite appreciated. There was a half-bottle of red wine waiting in our room, too, which we were happy to drink while packing to leave the next night. Our stay was brief, and we spent most of our precious time in Paris out and about. The hotel was an excellent home base, though, centrally located and very comfortable. It was less fancy than the Park Hyatt, of course, but the lobby was attractive and our room was spacious and clean. It had a king bed and a sofa bed, where my three-year-old refused to sleep, instead jumping around and harassing me and once, picking up the clean underwear I'd set out for the morning and putting it on over his pants. Breakfast was included with our stay, and we took advantage of this by going down to Café M and feeding my children chocolate croissants before leaving the premises each morning. They also got room service one night while my friend and I went out for a grown-up dinner at Brasserie Pastis, an outstanding nearby restaurant recommended by the concierge. I'm sure the Park Hyatt would've been nice, but I was impressed by the Hyatt Madeleine, both the accommodations and the hospitable service. I'll bet it was a better fit for our group, too, what with the wild three-year-old. A great place to stay during an active trip to Paris.
