I purchased some delicious saucisson & asked nicely to have it sliced since I would not be able to cut it in the hotel room. I was very grateful for that, & later purchased a baguette to take everything back to the hotel. Stopped my the grocery store & also bought some white wine. So far, I'm enjoying this visit in France & definitely will need to visit again. A lot to see and not enough time!!

Worst cheese buying experience of our trip. The woman was rude and not helpful at all. When we…read morepicked a cheese, she cut off a HUGE chunk without confirming it was the amount we wanted (ended up throwing away half because 1. It wasn't very good and 2. It was far more than we could eat on our last day in Paris). We felt rushed out of the shop- would not return. There are so many other non-chain cheese shops we enjoyed better!

This is by far my favorite fromagerie in Paris. Pascal Beillevaire sells some amazing butter,…read moreyogurts, fresh eggs, and of course cheese. I can't get enough of their demi-sel croquant unpasteurized butter. Riddled with flecks of salt, this butter melts in your mouth or equally on a piece of toast. I have a friend who loves this butter SO much that she admits she could probably eat it by itself. They have a large selection of cow, sheep, and goat milk cheese. Not enough can be said about unpasteurized cheeses and butter. I've sampled the comté, brie, fruit filled chevre, saint-maure, butter, and yogurts, all of which are of exceptional quality. True, it is a bit pricier than your monolithic grocery store, but as in most cases, you get what you pay for. This small shop on Rue Saint Antoine was manned by two people when I stopped in. The woman quickly stopped what she was doing (cutting up slices from a large round of cheese), to help me. I purchased two small beurre cru demi-sel croquant and asked her to put them in a sous-vide sack (under vacuum). She returned a few minutes later to ring up my purchase. I was pleasantly surprised that she didn't charge me for vacuum packing my butter; it usually costs an extra euro. The company has several locations around Paris. I've been to a few and the service has always been great.

It also came with a basket of the best bread we have had since arriving in France. What is awesome about this place is the owner, Matthieu. He was so nice and explained the cheese, the type, and where it came from. Of the 14, we liked about 10 or 11, a couple were a bit strong, and one of them was so strong we could not do it. But it was an awesome experience and great cheese. You must try this for the Fromage experience. Thank you. If you are local, this guy should be your cheese guy. Awesome.

We let Pierre do the ordering and he didn't disappoint. I am not a huge cheese connoisseur, but I do enjoy the ones I like thoroughly! And, delicious sourdough bread to go along with it, yes please! They ordered wine and I ordered a Stella beer. The different cheeses were great, for the most part for me lol And we couldn't stop eating the bread! The waiter spoke English and was knowledgeable. Service was a tiny bit slow, as we were the only customers outside. However, I think in this city, that's how it usually is. People sit and take their time, which we did, but we also needed more bread! :) Definitely recommend this place! But beware, there was also a young child that kept coming up to our table asking for our food, with an adult standing nearby waiting for her as she went table to table. The sadness and questions of this child did take away a bit of our nice experience :(
