This was a lovely little cafe on the edge of the Red Light District. I loved the location - right on the corner between the busy street and a church that has been standing since like 1500 something with the Red Light District just down the road. I sat outside and soaked it all in - it was beautiful. The wrought iron sign outside reminded me of Paris and also of Ratatouille (the movie). I ordered a double cappuccino, which was lovely and arrived at my table with a cute little cookie and a foam heart in the top. I did not order food, but the food I saw looked fantastic. The place was pretty busy with people coming and going. The staff was a bit overwhelmed but overall great. Would highly recommend.

Super cute place with hipster and rustic vibes. Definitely love the interior decor of this place. The location is pretty funny, with it next to a prostitution shop and a church. I really enjoyed my cappuccino and my goat cheese toastie. It was the perfect afternoon snack and a great place to recharge. The servers were also really nice and attentive. It wasn't crowded at all either. We saw that they had some board games but they were up high, so no idea if they're for the customers to play with.

Me and my boyfriend were looking for the perfect place to have an avocado toast, and we sure did find one! We ordered two Avocado toasts and we received a heavenly dish! They also have a great cappuccino, and offer kind service!

Outside seating is great for relaxing

Had a grilled cheese and a beer just at the end of the day to relax. Wonderful place. Great staff and service.

This was a nice place to sit and have a drink close to the old church. Nice snacks and pretty good apple pie. The only thing keeping it from being 5 Stars is the restroom. It looked clean but didn't smell clean. Ick. Servers were very nice.

They have very fast wifi which is hard to come by in this city and not to mention the people watching in the red light district.

Everything about this place was great!…read more I'll start with the service. We walked in around 4:10 and they didn't start food service for another 20 minutes. The waiter was super cool and told us to have a seat anywhere we liked and brought us a drink menu. He knew we wanted to eat so at exactly 4:30 he came and took our orders. Through out the meal he was on top of everything and even offered many suggestions! The food was spectacular as well. I had the trio of fries and my friends had other small plates that were all so good! And the sauces that come with the fries, mamma mia! We also shared the Boca's Platter and it was absolutely to die for. Do not pass this up. I repeat, do not pass this up! Between 4 people, the medium was plenty of food. The space itself was also nice. They had outdoor seating for nicer days. We went right when food service began on a Monday afternoon so can't speak to how busy it gets during peak hours. Go for the great service, go for the Boca Platter, whatever you do, just go!

The bruschetta was delicious and if you love blue cheese, get it...it's extremely rich and creamy. The three kinds of fries were solid; curly, sweet potato, and regular with some chili ketchups. The boca platter was HUGE and we got the medium for 4 people. Came with steak, fried shrimp, mackerel potato salad, crostini, and an assortment of cheeses and some pepperoni. Last but not least...my favorite...the tartare. The quail egg was delicately placed atop the center of the meat and placed alongside the four little crostini on the plate. It was juicy and had so much flavor, a little spicy but not an overwhelming amount of chili spice. This meal reminded me of tapas in Madrid; definitely stop by bocas and get everything!

Coffee & Coconuts, seriously another amazing cafe that I visited during my trip in Amsterdam!…read more This cafe is hidden on the outside, but once you step inside, it is massively huge with three stories of dining tables. After waiting to be seated, our hostess guided us upstairs to the third floor, where they have several more dining tables and cozy couches that you can sit on while you enjoy your coffee. My parents, having visited this cafe before during their last trip to Amsterdam, raved about this place and suggested that I try their famous coconut coffee. All three of us ordered their coconut coffee, with my dad adding an espresso shot to his own so that he could stay awake for the rest of the night. Once I reached that first sip, OMG. SO DELICIOUS. How can I make my own coconut coffee back at home?! I loved it so much that I really want to make a copycat of it. The straws are also bendable, which really makes it handy if you need to lower your straw a bit. If I could, I would get on a plane to Amsterdam just to come back for their coconut coffee. That's how delicious it is! Local or tourist, I strongly suggest Coffee & Coconuts. You will not regret coming here at all!

Fantastic ambiance. Friendly service. Excellent food and drink options…read more Casual, trendy, comfy spot for just coffee or a full meal. - Coconut Coffee: A delicious iced drink, rich in coconut and strong coffee flavors. - Royal Apple Juice: Very refreshing blend of apple, carrot, ginger & lime juice. - Kimchi Toast: Good, filling. Not too spicy at all. - Smoked Mackerel Sandwich: A whole, huge mackerel fish is served atop this toast. Yum! Bathrooms are located on European first floor (for Americans, that's not the ground floor. It's equivalent to the 2nd floor).
