4.5 cents per copy is decent for over 200 pages black and white and 4 cents for over 500. Decent service. Nice location in evanston. They are open on Sundays to boot. read more

Wow. This place is INCREDIBLE! I printed my senior thesis here and, when later that day I noticed a typo that I had overlooked in the PDF I sent earlier to Quartet, Michael assisted me in replacing the page with a typo-free version. We made the fix right then and right there. He explained all of my options and compromised to ensure I was satisfied and anxiety-free. I spent a great deal of time copying documents my divorce lawyer needed. Quartet copy became my second home. The copying is very affordable, downright cheap. Faxing documents out and receiving documents sent to Quartet was a bit expensive, although that depended on who was the sales person was. The older lady tend to charge the highest rates, sometimes 3 times as much as other sales staff. I think she was overcharging but I didn't want to argue. I just changed my schedule so I would go in when she wasn't there. Every other sales persons charged about the same amount for faxes and they were the younger people. Avoid the lady during morning and early afternoon hours. After 5pm until closing was the fastest service. I recommend Quartet Copies. Very helpful and nice staff. read more

I've been going to this place for over 12 years. It's a thousand times better than any fedex location, plus it doesn't cost as much. I've had occasional customer service issues over the years with print jobs not completed on time, but they've been very responsive when I've had complaints or problems. read more

The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful with the invitations I needed to print, let me go in the back of the shop to look at papers, and figured out a less expensive way to print my 5x7 cards, where other print shops simply told me they couldn't print that size. On top of that, the cost was much less than I expected. I will definitely be going back if I need any more printing done. read more

I had the same problem as First R. I came into Quartet to make a copy when the machine suffered a paper jam and would have moved over to the next machine, but first, I went to the register to let someone know about the jam. I was met by the most condescending tone from one of the employees, who resembled the male mentioned by First R. However, I would say that unlike First R.'s experience, the male in question was not helpful whatsoever and only offered dry, barely concealed insults and the most bored expression. If this is representative of the level of customer service I should expect from Quartet, I will make sure, as a Northwestern student, to tell as many other students to steer clear, unless they have no choice. read more

Shame on me for not asking how much it would cost to scan 4 sheets of paper to my gmail account. I thought at the most $2 bucks. Holy hell- it was $5 for 30 seconds worth of time for the employee to scan my documents. Talk about HIGHWAY ROBBERY!! I am never walking in there again. read more

Terrible service. I stood there for ten minutes and no one had the courtesy to recognize I was there and simply say "be right with you." Meanwhile, one dude was vacuuming, while another sat in the back room on a couch. I finally asked, as one worker walked by avoiding eye contact, "is there anyone available to help me?" He answered gruffly. Finally, a few minutes later he came to the counter and asked, put out, "can I help you?" as if I was inconveniencing him. Lame service. Disorganized and unfriendly. read more

I was shocked to find all these positive reviews... hard to believe they're even real. I've been to this place about 5-10 times. Never had good service. Not once. Staff is unfriendly, and there will be 5 of them working in the back who see me walk in and no one comes over to help without being asked. The printing service is very slow. I waited 10+ minutes to print 50 pages when i was the only one in there. They didn't give me a receipt - I had to ask. I go here due to convenient distance from my house, but I dread it every time knowing that the service is consistently awful. The whole staff is awful. read more

Really helpful for last minute problems! I've had so many emergency situations with having to print resumes and headshots, and they do a great job for cheap! And you can just email and walk in and they'll look up your email and print it out there for you. Their headshots on glossy paper aren't the most color accurate (makes it darker), so go to a real head shot print shop for that, but for last minute run for headshots, mine were acceptable and helpful! The workers can be a bit moody, but they'll get the job done. read more

I was here 2 weeks ago with my sister as she was getting programs for her recital. The order was incorrect (likely not due to any fault of Quartet Copies) and Jeff worked with us for over 3 hours to fix the problem with the programs. We were confused customers and he was patient with us and got the job done. I'm not from around this area, but would use them again if I were! 3 cheers for Jeff! read more

Terrific prices, great staff....but copy machines frequently malfunction.

Quartet has helped me out of two jams in which I waited until the very last minute to make color copies for presentations (I know not a good idea). The first time the man helping me was super friendly and even stayed after hours to complete my job. My presentation would have been a disaster without my copies and I cannot thank him enough. The second time the gentleman helping me had a little attitude but after he realized all I was looking for was a few color copies he apologized and helped me out. All in all, I'll go back for some printing needs. read more

I had an excellent experience in printing out my "advanced reader copy" (review copies) of my book. I needed 20 and Chris, the owner, is a perfectionist and did a great job with the "perfect binding". The price was origionally similar to the internet pricing -- but I asked if I could buy the "rejects", the books with a minor flaws. He gave these to me free of charge, and they're perfect for second tier reviewers -- so that knocked the price way way below anything I would ever find online. It was just a nice, above-and-beyond move on the owner's part. read more
