After I couldn't start my car this morning, I went online to make an appointment. Jon helped me out immediately and said I could drive over right then. I didn't double check and went to our regular spot ...then noticed I got the appointment at the wrong location. Ooops. Just wanted to share like other Qualtech locations, the staff here are quick and eager to respond, exactly what we need when there's an automobile issue! Last time i was here they pulled my hood lever out of my car and tried to charge me full price to fix it and then barely fixed the a/c issue i came for. A/c ended up going out a few days later. Now i come back. Don't know why i did. But they tried to charge me almost $200 just to look at my car?? Don't know what's going on here. How do they stay in business. read more

Qualtech just tried to scam us out of not only $12k but an entire vehicle. These people tried to take advantage of us. Why? Who knows, but can only speculate. We trusted Qualtech. How did they did they repay us? By sitting on their thumbs for 4 months. They couldn't work with our warranty either. The incompetence of Josh, can not be unde stated here. He even offered to buy our car. We have a friend that mentioned it might be the flywheel, and we told them that. Not only did they completely disregard that statement, they cut our compressor belt (incompetence) and quoted us $12,000 to replace the entire engine when that wasn't even the problem. The team are better trained and ASE certified compared to 80% of the other mechanics in the area....including the big dealerships! Ritchie & Kyle set examples and tone for honesty. Each of the technicians are knowledgeable and efficient. I've done business with them mulitiple occasions, they diagnosed a problem, carefully disassembled parts and discovered the initial problem was different. I had a battery changed on my Ford Escape by a roadside company which wrecked my Soundsystem. Qualtech to the rescue. But the first part that they replaced -- from Ford -- was faulty. So they tracked down another part and changed it again. Same problem with the component. The Qualtech crew didn't give up on the fix. And reported the issues to their supplier etc. Then they got the third fix in and it is working perfectly. All this was under warranty and they handled each situation with professionalism and a dash of humor. Love this place and the people who work there are fantastic. Had. great experience my first time with the leander location. However this time was far from the best experience. we had to wait on parts and then when they got the actual parts surprise surprise they were more then what the quoted us. so we ended up paying more then what they quoted us. it took almost a week to repair some wiring to the fuel pump. read more

Just got my car done here. Solid service. They Let me know the things I needed but didn't shove it down my throat like most mechanics. I'd highly recommend the spot from inspections to completely changing out the motor. They are $20 more than competitors around them for inspections but it's worth every penny. read more

The original Toyota dealership I took the Tundra to was way over priced! I worked with Kyle over the phone and he ended up saving me over $1000. ONE STAR IS TOO MANY! Watch out for these people. They are very slick. Charged me for a new radiator when the old one tested just fine later with my regular mechanic, and it still overheats because they didn't change the fan clutch, which was the original problem. (I'm so glad I made them give me the old radiator.) I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to correct the problems they caused. The engine runs rough, dies on acceleration and has almost gotten me killed in Austin traffic, my new transmission still drives like it's in low gear because of the sloppy work, or intentional problems they caused. My A/C is intermittent now, I have an exhaust leak into the cab of the truck, and the fumes are toxic. I dealt with them when they were on 620 N. I've never had such a horrible experience a mechanic in my life, and the bill was incredibly high. They charged me for a new thermostat and housing which I didn't need and he said it would be free. It wasn't. It cost double what it would've cost anywhere else and all I got was a shrug of his shoulders. I've never felt so cheated. Beware! read more

I had a great experience with QualTech (Leander) and I'm excited about finding a repair shop that I can trust. I brought in my 2005 F150 and asked Kyle to fix a "clunking" noise in the front suspension and to do a complete brake job if needed. They identified the source of the noise as a pair of missing bushings. And they said my brakes did not need to be replaced. And, they found a leaking seal on the rear differential. The fixed everything in just a few hours and for less that I thought I'd be spending on my old truck! Thanks! read more
