They were responsive to my request, provided a quote, and came out the next morning to complete the work. Tommy was prompt to arrive, assessed and confirmed the situation, and explained to me what was happening each step of the way. He's a man that is proud of his craft and trade, and does things right. Even though it wasn't included in the quote, he helped me paint the replacement vent covers. He called out some other things I would have never noticed, and helped me clean out my dryer duct, which was clogged with a birds nest and about a pound of lint! This is a very important thing to check, as a clogged dryer vent is a common cause of house fires! Hiring contractors will always cost money, and often times, people get consumed by cost. Well, people's time and their service cost money. Maybe you could save a few bucks here or there, but will the work be done right? Is the contractor rushing through your job to get to the next? Value isn't just a dollar figure; it's a function of a cocktail of things important to you. For me, that would be saving time, getting things done right, and relieving me of potential life threatening injuries. I can tell you that Tommy and Alpha Precision will take the time to do things right, so that you won't need to pay again later. Trusting that referral, I hired him for my home renovation. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing, costly, and stressful. Here is what I have experienced: Missed deadlines and unfinished work: Weeks passed with little to no progress. Wayne was rarely on-site, and promised completion dates came and went. Poor workmanship: The paint job was unacceptable, and Wayne acknowledged it needed to be redone. Cabinets were installed before proper painting was completed and, by his own admission, needed to be removed and repainted. Damaged property: Paint overspray ended up on my quartz countertops, new door knobs, hinges, lights, and ceiling fans. The living room ceiling fan was also broken. HVAC contamination: Tile work was performed without properly sealing off the area, allowing construction debris into the vents and HVAC system. Now I face additional expenses for professional cleaning. Missing items and materials: Numerous items supposedly purchased for my bathroom remodel are missing. Other items have also gone missing from my property. Serious security concerns: My property was left unlocked, and on two separate occasions, the front door was left wide open. Worker payment concerns: I was told my deposit had been used to pay workers, yet workers were not showing up, and I received information indicating nonpayment was an issue. No resolution or refund: Despite the unfinished work, poor workmanship, missing materials, and property damage, Wayne has not resolved these issues or refunded money for work not completed or performed satisfactorily. WAYNE MADE MANY PROMISES--AND EVEN MORE EXCUSES. I hired a contractor expecting professionalism, accountability, quality workmanship, and respect for my home. Instead, I am left with unfinished renovations, damaged property, missing materials, and additional expenses to correct problems. The fact that Wayne was referred by my realtor makes this experience even more disappointing. A referral is not a guarantee of quality or integrity. I am sharing my firsthand experience so other homeowners can do their research, verify references independently, document everything, and protect their money and property before hiring a contractor.
