We used Quality Time for approximately 10 years, but our August 2026 experience ended that…read morerelationship. We booked expecting our longtime sitter, Dan. We were not told he would not handle the booking until we were already within the cancellation window. We then arranged a last-minute meet-and-greet, which we were charged for, with another sitter who said she could cover our visits. On the first day, the owner moved our scheduled visit based on her interpretation of our flight information without confirming the change with us. When no one had arrived by 12:30 p.m., our dog had been alone for approximately seven hours, and I had to ask a friend to rush to our house. Only after we had left town did the owner explain that visit times were not guaranteed and that multiple sitters would rotate through our home. Over the trip, at least four sitters provided care, one morning visit was approximately an hour late, a medication dose was missed because instructions had not been communicated properly, and one sitter could not enter because the team had failed to exchange our keys. We had to provide emergency access instructions during our vacation. The individual sitters generally seemed kind and attentive. Our complaint is with the company's management, coordination, communication, and billing practices. We get mistakes happen. What made this unacceptable was the owner's consistently defensive response and tendency to blame the customer or cite policies only after a problem occurred. Prospective customers should understand that Quality Time may rotate several sitters, does not guarantee requested visit times (it's apparently a 2-hour window around your scheduled time), charges numerous add-on fees, including medication by the individual pill and charges $25 for key return. We also received add-on invoices during our vacation and felt pressured to pay them promptly while the company was still responsible for our pets' care (I know there were some duplicate and erroneous charges). After 10 years as customers, we will not use Quality Time again and can no longer recommend the company.

I find this unacceptable. As a general rule, cats don't need baths unless they soil themselves or get into something messy. I have had her belly and underside shaved if she had some mats, that was fine. I am very disappointed with PP and their treatment to a customer who had been coming to them. I have been so thankful to Dogthrive and the care they take for my pup. Chico, my dog, is my baby…read morewe don't have children so he really is my child. We took Chico here when he was a puppy to do a temperament test and he did great and came back so tired which was amazing for us! We continue to take him here and he is almost one. I can only speak to the daycare as I have not had him groomed or boarded here yet but our experience has been very pleasant so far! There are many bad reviews for dogthrive but I feel like a lot of them come from unrealistic expectations. Chico for one is an excited piddler and as he's gotten older it's gotten a lot better but there have been times he's come home smelling like urine but it's always been explained why and was usually, "A new tech walked in he got excited and peed a little then rolled over to get a belly rub and rolled in the pee before we could grab him to clean it up." This has happened at home so it wasn't just a story they were telling us. They also have explained that they tried to clean him up and sprayed him with puppy deoderizing shampoo spray which I haven't seen with other daycares do. Since he is going into a place with lots of other dogs I don't expect him to come out smelling like he just got a bath so I think some expectation management helps with that. Just recently I have been shown why I love and will continue taking him to Dog Thrive. For one we were walking around a farmers market and a person steps out of their booth and asks, is that Chico?! And at first I was confused because I didn't recognize them but Chico did and they immediately let me know they work at DogThrive and they love playing with him and how much they enjoy having him there, they proceeded to get on their hands and knees to give Chico some love. For someone in their off time to not only recognize him but go out of their way to tell me they enjoy time with him and for him to have such an amazing reaction to seeing them outside of the daycare setting shows these people really love these dogs when we aren't with them. Secondly, I had some potential plans that would require me to board Chico that weren't confirmed yet so when I dropped him off for daycare I provided food and toys just in case and explained the situation. They were communicative and very understanding that he may or may not be boarded. I didn't end up needing to board him and picked him up at the end of the day. I realized I was charged for boarding anyway which makes sense since I made the reservation and was set to board. When I called and told them of the charge they not only refunded me for the boarding but also for the day of daycare (that he did partake in). How amazing is that? I love the staff and have nothing but amazing things to say about how well Chico has been treated here! If you don't mind the occasional necessary bath from a day spent playing and having fun then this is the place for you and your pup!

Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Pet owners would should have their minds at ease if they select Love Those Paws. If I go on vacation again (few and far between these days) I would definitely use them again!

The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. It's really hard to tell when your four-legged, furry friend is in need of some medical attention…read more My cat had been acting a bit off for a few days and it took me a while to catch onto the signs. I wish I would have caught it sooner for me to bypass some unneeded emotional damage. Once I finally did pick up on the signs I immediately looked for a nearby vet. But on a Sunday, there aren't many open. My choices were two emergency vets that were equal distances away. As you can see, I chose this one. On my way here, I was all in my emotions and almost bypassed the building. Luckily for me, I caught it at the last minute and whipped around. When I went in there was no hesitation about being seen. They are a digital establishment. Scan the QR code, fill in your information, and wait to be seen. I sat in the waiting room for what felt like an eternity, but we all feel that way in a time of need. Finally a vet tech came to see me and ask what was going on. I started to talk and only broke down instead. I was escorted in a room and they took my cat for a set of vitals. I was at that point where I thought she was attempting to cross that rainbow bridge. Instead, after the vitals and some talking to the vet, it was decided as to what was going on. I also want to thank them for being upfront with information. I was informed that they already know what it is and a course of treatment or I could spend a lot more money to do tests and come to the same conclusion. After a good cry I came to my senses and went with their suggested treatment. This was an emotionally exhausting day. Made a bit better by a good team at this place. My cat, upon returning home, was very lethargic because of the antibiotic and pain medication given. She was out of sorts for a bit, but back to normal within the timeframe quoted by this team.

The staff at Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty were amazing from the moment we walked in. They were extremely thorough while showing such care and concern for Duke. They explained what was happening, were transparent about the cost, and gave an honest assessment of the prognosis for our baby. Dr. S explained our options and gave us time to process everything. She answered all our questions and reassured us that there was no right or wrong way to go. Ultimately, we made the heartbreaking decision to let Duke go and she supported it, agreeing it was the kindest choice given his age, prognosis, and his current state. When I asked her what she would do for her own fur baby given the circumstances, Dr. S was transparent and told us she would do the same. That gave us a small bit of comfort that we weren't rushing into it prematurely. Dr. S gave us referrals to a few vets who could come to our home to help us with Duke's final care. We chose Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, who were equally wonderful during such a horrible time. We appreciate all of the staff at Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty, from the folks at the front desk to the nurses and doctors. There were small things that I appreciated... when they brought our baby to us, they put down a plush blanket so he could be comfortable and not laying directly on the floor. Also, right before we left, one of the nurses even came in to say goodbye to Duke and tell him he was a sweet boy. She loved on him and that small gesture will always stick with me. I thank everyone for showing such love and support during one of the most difficult times in my family's life. I would absolutely recommend Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty to anyone needing care for their fur baby.
