That's quite a bargain compared to the salons on the Mag Mile or Oak Street. Luckily I got a gift card for the holidays! I came in on a Saturday morning and was waited on right away. They have reclining for relaxing and laying back of course. I was able to stay fully dressed, no robe needed. They design the washes for those in a hurry. My esthetician, Keisha, was professional and kind as she explained the products she applied and asked what I was using. They use their own brand of products(I never did find out what CBQ stood for). Keisha asked what I used on my skin, and complimented me on a nice job, so maybe that was why she did not pressure me into buying any products. She did recommend a serum. The use of machines in addition to hands was useful; The first machine produced steam to open the pores of course, while another one was very cold, but it reduced puffiness. A third machine had a suction function. The soothing Inspirational (ok, Christian) music added to a calm, positive atmosphere. The slide show with tips on skin care such as what to avoid/add was a good substitute for lectures. My only drawback was privacy. The chairs are all in one room, the same room as the lobby, and not spaced out so much, so there was little privacy. The only private room is probably where the waxes are done. I don't have much to hide concerning my skin, but if you enjoy chatting and sharing personal info to an aesthetician, you may want to go when it's very quiet.

It being my birthday weekend I also received a complimentary treatment removing dirty skin cells and excess hair giving me a nice natural glow up. I'll be back for sure and the only thing I'd change is a pot of hot water so that clients can have fresh tea and tea bags versus the like warm tea that had been sitting out all day. I'll admit, I wasn't too sure when I walked in because the customer service wasn't there. However, once I sat down, both ladies that were there were nice and engaging. It was a very pleasant appointment. Kee did my nails and did a great job. I've had my nails for 2 weeks and they look like I just got them done. The prices were great too. My only complaint is that the website and the door say that walk in's were welcomed but on a weekday afternoon there were only 2 nail techs and they both had clients. I waited about an hour and a half, which I had no problem with. A woman came after me and they suggested she come in tomorrow. It was 3 pm on a Wednesday but the door says they're open until 8 pm. I know now that an appointment is necessary. The walk in thing is what make the chop shops appealing especially for women like me with up and down schedules. Alyssa called me the day before to adjust my appointment time. While I appreciate the forethought I arranged my work and family schedule for my appointment weeks in advance. I could not change it in 24 hours. Then she arrived late. I guess it's a generational thing but I wasn't warmly greeted when she arrived but simply told to select my color and I had already done so. There was no bottled water offered to paying customers and the pedicure station is a makeshift row bench not the usually recliners and bowls any spa goer is accustomed to. She did an excellent job on both the mani and pedi but seeing the $90 bill for both services made it difficult to tip for such basic services with no add on tips or paraffin waxes. Maybe my previous spa spoiled me with warm towel service and massage during each treatment but a girl wants what she wants especially for such high prices Needless to say...I'm still looking

I witnessed this firsthand when I walked in the salon this morning! I wanted a pedicure and fill in and I was accommodated immediately. I was greeted with a smile and Jenny started in on my pedicure! Jenny was thorough and nice. She showed me the scan to get a free beverage while I enjoyed my chair massage and pedicure. It was amazing to see such special touches Tina and Dong has in place for their customers. Jenny did a superb job on my feet and they were as soft as a baby's bottom. All while doing my pedi she checked in to see if I was ok and if I like the nails. She took her time which I appreciated. As soon as I was done with my pedi I was whisked over to the manicure seat to get my French manicure. To my surprise Tina the owner was the manicurist! I knew immediately that she was the owner because she had on a name tag, which I love ! This is another special touch that Tina and Dong provide that sets them apart from the other local nail shops. I truly appreciate knowing the person who's completing the services for me! Tina was so humble, down to earth and kind ! I asked her if she was the owner and she shyly said yes, how did you know? The branding : name tags, tshirts and aprons the employees and owners wear really brings in the brand of TD's nail salon. Conversation with Tina was so nice and it was as if we were old friends and I had just met her for the first time today. Tina quickly and thoroughly completed my manicure to perfection! All while giving me advice on a new liquid nail service her salon provides that will not only help my natural nail but will ensure that the nail that I get next time will not be as thick ( I had gotten my nails done at another shop not to be mentioned and the powder that was put on was very thick), even with this issue, Tina was able to seamlessly fill in my nail as if she had completed the nail manicure originally! I came in to TD's Nail Salon today as a treat for Mothers Day weekend from my husband and kids and I found this place one because they were open early on Saturday 9:30 which was earlier than any other nail shop in the area, and two because of the great reviews I read on Yelp! I will be coming back and telling everyone I know about this gem of a place because of the excellent customer service, the superior quality of work and the economical pricing they provide as well as the serene atmosphere they provide in their building. This nail shop has only been open for a week but I can already tell with the quality of work they are delivering they will be successful for years to come! It was my first…read moretime here and I didn't have any issues besides when I ask if they had a different color for the pink that they use for the French tip pedicure service, he looked upset when I asked but honestly I don't even care about the color at that point it was the uncomfortable feeling I had just for asking. It's shouldn't be a problem if it's something I'm going to have to wear on my feet for the next several weeks and I'm paying for the service but I didn't make it a big deal. I also asked if there was a free drink with service since the women next to me received one. At that point I was almost done with my service so I just didn't even bother asking them to bring me anything. I wasn't aware you're supposed to scan a QR code. I guess I would just say it would be nice if someone lets the customers know when they are seated. The place is big and beautiful but unfortunately I'm all about how they service you, I don't think I would come back.
