    Us deposing there trash
    Michael C.

Worst experience with my tenants and me. Owner was could came out give the insurance company estimate. After that problems with the workers. Most workers didn't speak English causing communication problems with tenants. Didn't take out trash daily just threw it in the closet left it. Tenant asked them not to park in the driveway but they did. Tenant got flat tire from nails left behind. Tenant had to sweep drive way every night after they left. When they installed vanity instead of adding small piece of pipe for the angle, they just cut a big whole in the back to make it work. Plumber walked off the door because he didnt want to wait till something was moved said "it was above his pay grade to wait". Not a good service.

Steve took my big house and split it into a duplex - my empty room morphed a beautiful kitchen and laundry closet!

I live 500 miles away from my property in San Diego, so to me it was super important that whoever was going to take on my project had to be REALLY on top of it. My project required was splitting one big house into a duplex, which meant building an entire kitchen from scratch, dividing the floor plan and adding a laundry closet. Steve with Quality Restoration Services checked all my boxes. When you speak with him you can tell he knows how things should be done the correct way. He doesn't cut corners, he thinks about safety, functionality, aesthetics. I never really had time to come down and check on Steve's work, but he did a great job at sending updates - even photos. When it came time for me to make decisions, he provided his professional opinion when asked. He is so patient, optimistic, and highly professional while still being a friendly guy. I wish I could give Quality Restoration Services more stars - my project was completed on time, on budget, and the results are better than I ever could have imagined. How often does that happen? Even after the work was done and Steve was out of the picture, he was still responsive to any questions I sent him or when I needed help with other little things (he's got great contacts). I cannot emphasize how thrilled I am with the beautiful results. My one big house with too much space is now two spacious units, each with their own kitchens and laundry. Steve understood my vision and made an enhanced version of it my reality. Everyone compliments my new kitchen, and I owe it ALL to Steve.

First let me say I am a total novice at this kind of stuff. Its the last thing I thought I'd be dealing with. Had an unexpected water pressure regulator fail, ( What's that??) which cause a flood all on my bottom floor, throughout the bathroom, kitchen, Washer/Dryer, pantry, kitchen and dining room. In addition, after the flood remediation people opened up the walls, etc, found mold, which was created by a pre-existing event which meant more cutting and demolition. UGH! Called Steve Wang as he was on a list of possible contacts from my insurance. He was out to give me an estimate for mold remediaton and possible restoration. Very professional, on time and easy to talk with. I had to fix the mold problem first. I didn't go with him for that because of price but still wanted an estimate for restoration after the mold was taken care of, as I see from here, he does great work. I was impressed by his VISION which I didn't have, talked about possibilities regarding fixing my place. Quartz instead of granite? All new cabinets replaced, top and bottom, not just using the old, bottom faces from the old cabinets, as that is what the insurance paid me for. He was very responsive to e-mails in a timely manner! Long story short, I was out of town and sick when I had to make a decision with whom to go to to remodel/fix my place. Steve was able to come in with my insurance bid for the most part and do the remodel in a timely manner compared to another contractor where it would take 5 weeks for the cabinet guy to be available. In addition, he had worked with my insurance company many times before and had a good reputation with them. Since I was in a position where I could not live at my place due to a severe allergic reaction, I was put in a hotel after the mold remediation, I was reassured by Steve, his workers were bonded and he had insurance plus a lock box while they did the work. They kept me updated and were easy to communicate with via phone, txt or e-mail. Steve and Luis ( Steve's partner) are customer oriented! They stayed TRUE to their WORD, were SOLUTION oriented, addressing any concerns I might have, and KEPT their promises! Anything that came up unexpectedly, i.e.need new pony wall as the old one is unstable, they had reasonable prices. Steve had my cabinets customized to fit my needs, in addition he was able to put back my pull outs I had before and make storage under my sink. Steve was able to get me a new sink which I love, at a really good price. Also, because of my asthma and being hospitalized, I was concerned about coming home and wanted to make sure the place was clean, so I didn't have another reaction. Steve and his people did a FABULOUS job and didn't charge me extra. I was thinking I would have needed to hire a cleaning agency but didn't..WOW! Very THANKFUL for the outcome. My next door neighbor, saw their work and took their card, as he was very impressed too. :-) Thank you Steve, Luis and all those who worked hard to make my place like a "home" again after being gone 9 weeks! Best regards~ Katherine

I had a failed wax ring from my upstairs toilet leak water into my downstairs kitchen, and I got 6 different quotes for mold remediation and restoration. Nate from Swift Restoration was one of the only ones to not exaggerate the scope of what needed to be fixed, which put my mind at ease. Marco, the technician who demoed the water damaged parts of my kitchen, was extremely professional and did an amazing job securing the work area, even making sure that my cat did not escape as he was going in and out of the front door. I have vintage cabinets and light fixtures that I wanted to keep intact if possible, and Marco was able to do this no problem. I ended up staying with Swift for the restoration part of the job, and they did incredible work. The cabinets and ceiling look better than ever and like nothing happened. They were able to work with my budget without compromising on quality. Shoutout to Victor for an incredible job, this man is a construction master and he finished the restoration job faster than we anticipated while still doing solid work. Ian, the company owner, was available through the whole process to answer any questions I had and make sure that I was happy with the results. That is a level of customer service that is rare nowadays and I am grateful to everyone at the Swift team for taking the stress and worry out of my water damage restoration problem.

I had a high-pressure fire extinguisher leak from a pin hole opening in my bathroom that lasted less than 30 minutes Saturday evening. 125psi through a 1mm hole hurts when you try to deflect the water with your hands! But I lucked out! The water hit the back wall over the tub. What was on the tile was mopped up quickly and what made it to the downstairs ceiling exited from two light fixtures. Thanks to the miracle of Chat gpt, I'm confident that a total of 8 to 10 gallons of water left the pipe. I estimate half of it went down the drain or was mopped up (this is important later). Omar and Leo from express restoration arrived in less than 2 hours. They were professional and set up three dehumidifiers (bathroom, kitchen and pantry), marked the affected areas, explained the next steps and went over restoration scenarios. They left saying we need to wait and see how bad it is after a few days. Had the rest of the experience went as well, they would have gotten 5 Stars. Omar and Giovanni showed up early Monday. Giovanni, the project manager looked at the three areas and went straight into explaining the work they were going to do. Remove the downstairs ceiling (10x10 in the kitchen and 4x10 in the pantry), take all the flooring out of the bathroom and the bathtub to expose the back wall (6x15), remove closet carpet because the carpet got a little wet. ALL BEFORE TAKING ANOTHER MOISTURE READING. He said they would get started right away with the demo. I asked him to press pause and start with reevaluating the walls and inspecting for damage. His eyes went through a reboot. Trust me when I say this, except for the 8"x 8" hole cut by the sprinkler repair man, there was ZERO damage to the walls. They were not soft, not bulging, no paint falling off a single wall. In my heart of hearts, I believe had I not said anything, they would have torn my house up without taking another reading. Omar came in and I explained to him that I was skeptical of the extent of work they were trying to do. He took out his meter and used the surface touch function on the walls in the affected area. They also used their thermal camera that showed water spots in expected localized areas. And here's the problem. I was advised by friends in the restoration business. Two of them independently said that the company should test every wall with the two prongs that puncture the wall, not the surface touch meter before deciding to cut into anything. That didn't happen until I said I wanted that reading. My friends also said that since there was no visible damage or long-term leak, the measure of whether or not my walls needed to be opened up to dry should be a comparison of how the walls were drying. Although Omar and Leo marked the walls with tape during their initial response, Omar chose to test the lowest parts of the wall, where water would normally drain and emphasized that wet reading. When I asked about other parts of the walls, the areas that were wet Saturday, the readings showed that the walls were drying. In the ceiling, he tested around the fixtures where water escaped and a visible drywall tape seam. Again, my friends told me that those areas would obviously read wet since that's where the water escaped. At that point, I told Omar and Giovanni that my friends in their business advised me that since there wasn't visible damage, and I didn't have a long or active leak, my walls would dry on their own, especially considering there was probably less than 5 GALLONS of water that escaped into the house and we live in California, not Florida. Instead of demolishing the bathroom and kitchen ceiling, Omar started mentioning less invasive options. He wanted to lift up the carpet and open a wall adjacent to the bathtub to see the wall behind it. In the kitchen, he said he could start with a 2'x 4' exploration hole around the drywall tape to see how wet the area was and allow for more airflow. To be honest, had he started with that, I probably would have a large hole in my kitchen and ripped up closet carpet and wall right now. But it still didn't sit right. The carpet felt like i just had it shampooed. It was in no way damp or dank. And a 2x4 hole seemed awfully big for simple ventilation. My friend had water come out a recessed light two years ago. Her repair company cut an 18"x18" hole in the ceiling and formed a wind tunnel with a fan and plastic. When I mentioned that, Omar said that would also work just as well. His justification for the hole, even though the walls should dry, was that the wood is still wet and that why I need to open up the walls. I turned down the service and sign the memo saying so. It's Wednesday. The carpet is already completely dry. I got a meter from Home Depot and I'm measuring the drywall readings and watching the affected area shrink daily.

Arturo came to give an assessment of what is going on, what needs to be done, and when they are going to do so. The preparation they did before the work was amazing. I have carpet upstairs and they put plastics on everything so there would be a minimal cleaning in the end. Arturo communicated with me on everything they are working on. I'm the type of person who is very specific about what I want and I did my homework. I got four different bids for this project, and C2C was the clear winner. Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. The house looks amazing (see the photos of the Blue Thunder Quartzite and the Jade tile!). They were fair, they were fast, and most importantly, they were responsive. Highly recommend if you want high-end results without the "luxury markup" of other firms.

This is the second water leak mitigation & restoration we've done with C2C and while the PM on the…read morerestoration portion was outstanding this time, overall, there were more issues with the mitigation than last. Specifically, they subbed out the demo portion to another company which incurred more costs and thus lead to rejection of payment by insurance company. Or rather, it was ruled as costs extending beyond ordinary expenses. Had it been included with the mitigation equipment, the insurance would've likely accepted it, as it did last time. The actual work performed by everyone was great in the end, just as it had been last time. Everything was remediated properly and more importantly, timely. Brandon the PM on mitigation along with David the PM on the restoration side were great, with David being the most responsive and communicative PM I've ever worked with. Meaning, updates everyday, as promised. That was the best part of the whole project for me as an anxious homeowner. I will say that my own insurance agent didn't help matters either in this case. He was super hard to work with and eventually C2C had trouble reaching him. This also soured the whole experience as everyone worked to track him down by phone and to prove that all expenses were legitimate. I'm on the fence as to whether to use C2C again for mitigation. Would not hesitate to use them for restoration though.
