Superb service and follow up to completion. I had an in-home flood last year and this company was referred to my by my insurance claims adjuster and flooring contractor (whom I trusted, having worked with her previously). Quality Restoration was straightforward with me, providing accurate descriptions of complexities and times of repair, unlike contractors involved in demolition and water mitigation preceding their stage of repair. They also agreeably removed and relocated wall art that was left behind (curiously!) by the movers. I was pleased with the professionalism of the owner, Luis, including the office personnel and all Quality company workers involved. The follow-through is value-added, in my opinion. Worst experience with my tenants and me. Owner was could came out give the insurance company estimate. After that problems with the workers. Most workers didn't speak English causing communication problems with tenants. Didn't take out trash daily just threw it in the closet left it. Tenant asked them not to park in the driveway but they did. Tenant got flat tire from nails left behind. Tenant had to sweep drive way every night after they left. When they installed vanity instead of adding small piece of pipe for the angle, they just cut a big whole in the back to make it work. Plumber walked off the door because he didnt want to wait till something was moved said "it was above his pay grade to wait". Not a good service. read more

I highly Quality Restoration. When my icemaker leaked, I had another company come out initially to check out the damage. They missed a lot, and if I had followed their recommendations I would've been left with mold in the walls and moisture under the travertine flooring. As soon as Steve from Quality Restoration came out, I knew I was in good hands. He had such a confident and calming approach, and educated me on what I was entitled to from my home owners insurance. Luis, Christian and the whole team were so kind and professional and worked really hard to make sure I was happy with all the repairs, every step of the way. I live 500 miles away from my property in San Diego, so to me it was super important that whoever was going to take on my project had to be REALLY on top of it. First let me say I am a total novice at this kind of stuff. Its the last thing I thought I'd be dealing with. Had an unexpected water pressure regulator fail, ( What's that??) which cause a flood all on my bottom floor, throughout the bathroom, kitchen, Washer/Dryer, pantry, kitchen and dining room. In addition, after the flood remediation people opened up the walls, etc, found mold, which was created by a pre-existing event which meant more cutting and demolition. UGH! Called Steve Wang as he was on a list of possible contacts from my insurance. He was out to give me an estimate for mold remediaton and possible restoration. Very professional, on time and easy to talk with. I had to fix the mold problem first. I didn't go with him for that because of price but still wanted an estimate for restoration after the mold was taken care of, as I see from here, he does great work. I was impressed by his VISION which I didn't have, talked about possibilities regarding fixing my place. Quartz instead of granite? All new cabinets replaced, top and bottom, not just using the old, bottom faces from the old cabinets, as that is what the insurance paid me for. He was very responsive to e-mails in a timely manner! Long story short, I was out of town and sick when I had to make a decision with whom to go to to remodel/fix my place. Steve was able to come in with my insurance bid for the most part and do the remodel in a timely manner compared to another contractor where it would take 5 weeks for the cabinet guy to be available. In addition, he had worked with my insurance company many times before and had a good reputation with them. Since I was in a position where I could not live at my place due to a severe allergic reaction, I was put in a hotel after the mold remediation, I was reassured by Steve, his workers were bonded and he had insurance plus a lock box while they did the work. They kept me updated and were easy to communicate with via phone, txt or e-mail. Steve and Luis ( Steve's partner) are customer oriented! They stayed TRUE to their WORD, were SOLUTION oriented, addressing any concerns I might have, and KEPT their promises! Anything that came up unexpectedly, i.e.need new pony wall as the old one is unstable, they had reasonable prices. Steve had my cabinets customized to fit my needs, in addition he was able to put back my pull outs I had before and make storage under my sink. Steve was able to get me a new sink which I love, at a really good price. Also, because of my asthma and being hospitalized, I was concerned about coming home and wanted to make sure the place was clean, so I didn't have another reaction. Steve and his people did a FABULOUS job and didn't charge me extra. I was thinking I would have needed to hire a cleaning agency but didn't..WOW! Very THANKFUL for the outcome. I used Quality Restoration Services for a major insurance claim water leak, supplemented with some kitchen and bathroom upgrades. Steve and Luis worked with the claims adjuster, so I didn't have to worry about the insurance portion of the work. They promptly completed all paperwork necessary for mortgage company escrow of insurance settlement funds. At the start of reconstruction, they worked with me to establish themes for floor coverings, bathrooms, and walls. They stayed one step ahead of me throughout the process, making sure I made more detailed decisions to support the reconstruction schedule. They have a keen knowledge of contemporary trends in flooring, wall finishes and fixturing. And they very professionally walk the line between respecting your preferences vs. making recommendations. When they encounter obstacles, they have a variety of mechanical and electrical resources available to provide solutions. Steve and his team repaired our backyard fence numerous times after being damaged due to cars that have run into it (we are near a major street). He is always reliable and gets the job done quickly. We have had some heavy rains that delayed work and he is is responsive no matter how big or small the job. Well, it's been over two years since the company repaired my water leak damaged flooring in my mobile home. Let's start with their workers cutting through my air conditioning duct and supporting beam under the floor. Then there was the removal of the furnace unit that was totally unnecessary since no work was done in that area. The completed job looked OK with the exception of the floor vents not properly attached to the sub floor. After the job was completed I was asked to submit a review. I wrote a honest review of of all the discrepancies involved with the repair. The company did not like my review and kept calling me to change it to a favorable review. I reluctantly changed it to reflect a better review. About a year ago my bathroom floor started making a creaking noise. I believe it was due to the new flooring joint not reinforced properly. Bottom line is that I would not deal with this company again. read more

Can't say enough about Steve and his crew! My home was flooded when an upstairs toilet decided to spontaneously overflow while I was out of town, the damage was quite extensive in the downstairs due to the water having plenty of time to seep through floors, walls, ceiling, etc. So, in a panic I reached out to the first emergency dry out service I could find (Not Steve). A few days into the process, at the recommendation of my insurance agent, I had Steve come in for a second opinion. Steve noticed things about my home that the other company did not, namely that I had radiant heating in the ceiling, so the heat should have been cranked up from day one to begin drying the ceiling. Also, due to the radiant heat, extra care would be needed to try to keep it in tact. Unfortunately the heating system couldn't be saved, but the fact that he recognized this feature of my home and at least tried to save it, really meant a lot and shows how thorough and skilled he is. Throughout the whole process, Steve has been a reliable point of contact for me with the insurance adjusters, pretty much taking on the entire burden of getting coverage for every single part of the remodel, I barely had to lift a finger. He knew all the necessary steps to make this as painless as possible even though we seemed to hit a bump in the road literally at every turn. Steve was knowledgable in his advice, helped me to make the right choices in material, and just an all around great sounding board. His crew is wonderful, they were texting and calling me frequently with updates, and their work turned out fabulously! Steve is - by far - the best contractor I've ever worked with. Why? Steve communicates and does it in a timely and clear/consistent manner. Customer service and focus is very important to me - and while other contractors bid my job - and some never even emailed me a bid, Steve clearly understood what needed to be done to fix the extensive flood damage to my condo and worked diligently with my insurance adjuster and my HOA. This ensured that my insurance paid for the damage and the repairs met the quality standards/requirements of the HOA. He made it easy for me to get through the process. I decided to add some money to the project and fix some other things I did not like about my condo. Steve helped me with my design decisions (layout of countertop, counter tops, tile, tub, shower enclosure, baseboards, flooring, etc.) and it turned out great! I wanted a modern/timeless look and that is exactly what I got. I now rent the condo furnished and I get a lot of compliments regarding the design from tenants. Also, Steve helped me save a lot of money by helping me understand the difference between tile and vinyl flooring - it's a rental and the vinyl exceeded the sound dampening requirements of the HOA and saved me thousands. I've recommended Steve to four friends now and will continue to recommend (and use) his services.
