I have had a very bad experience with dishonesty and vehicle damage that wasn't taken account for and denied fault at this business. It's not just my experience too: When I was barely 17 I blew my clutch. I went to this establishment for a Uhaul trailer to tow my car. A employee of Toms stereotyped me and assumed I did drugs and wouldn't rent me a trailer which felt very unprofessional. I had to get someone else to rent the trailer for me and when I got my car to the place they told me it would be a week to get the job done and they would look at the car for me to make sure it was the clutch and not a cable or something. Then when I got it there they kept delaying it to do other peoples cars. After it sat there for a month of me being told "one more extra week until we start on it" After a month I towed it over to hillside tire. Tom the owner was upset at me when I did. They had not even touched my car other than putting a baseball sized dent on the rear passenger door when it sat in the same parking spot for that time. Hillside tire did my clutch for $400 cheaper than what this place wanted to charge and in less than 24 hours! When I had my car on the road again Tom the owner saw me while driving his lifted truck and tried to race me in traffic. ‍ This year my friend went there to get his Celica a new timing chain in APRIL. They were not honest about when it would be worked on and instead of half a week it took them closer to a month. When they finally did get started on it their mechanic got bored and just moved on to someone else's car and left the Celica taken apart. After like three more weeks they finally got it done but the car "had a bad engine" So my friend decided to go somewhere else that would show integrity and professionalism except when he towed it out of the place he found the engine was left taken apart with loose bolts and parts left sitting in the engine bay. They didn't even put the spark plugs back in. Turns out mechanics won't take a car that was taken apart someplace else so he was stuck going back to "quality" muffler and brake and had to buy a whole new engine cause they couldn't get it running. They persisted with lying about deadlines and only "delaying" it by a week to just work on another customers car that was sent in later instead. The car he sent to them in MAY just recently got finished this JULY after continually being told "we will have it done next week" When he went to pick up the car Tom the owner sat him down to victim blame him for the bad experience. Funny enough his 92 celica left that establishment with a football sized dent on the rear fender bad enough to leave paint chipped off. The place won't take responsibility despite choosing to have a parking lot that is too crowded to not be a clear dent hazard. Update: the celiacs engine light kept coming on but it is now dead due to an electrical issue that wasn't present before this place had touched it. This place is not honest and will leave you without your car for a very long time. read more

Best brake experience ever. Was told I needed brakes and rotor from another shop I don't always trust so came to quality for the job. Took a bit for them to find my wheel key but they got the wheels off and called me saying brakes were fine! They totally could have charged me but they didn't ask for a nickel and are stand yo guys. This is a big heavy sprinter van with 42,000 miles and I fully expected they were due. Thanks guys read more

The owner, Tom, is uniquely incompetent and irresponsible. After renting a UHaul from him, I parked my car in one of the open parking spaces and told him I would be back that evening to drop off the UHaul and pick up my car. At 11:00 PM, I return to find my car is blocked in. At this point, I tried calling all different all number available but no one answered (which I expected at this time of night). That night, I drove to a hotel (I was stuck without a place to stay without my car) with the UHaul. The next afternoon, Tom calls me and begins to explain how he is not responsible and this is all my fault. He claims that on the way out his employee yelled after us that we could not park where we did. Both my wife and I did not hear this; nonetheless, it would have been nice for there to be a sign, for him to confirm that I heard him, or to follow up with a phone call. He further insists that I need to pay for the use of the UHaul the previous night when I had to drive to a hotel since my car was blocked in. After receiving such poor customer service and witnessing the absolute lack of responsibility, I highly advise against using UHaul or Quality Muffler & Brake. read more

I went to Quality muffler for a uhaul after another local dealer failed to provide a gassed uhaul. Tom said they had what I was looking for and after finding out that he couldn't rent one way long distance he personally called other dealers that could. He additionally made sure that my preference in uhaul was fully gassed up. Great experience all around. read more

I had my brake pads and rotors replaced with Quality a year and a half ago . When they went bad Quality replaced them under the Warranty for just the cost of labor . I took it in late in the day and to my surprise they had everything done by closing time the same day . Great services today . read more

Instead of letting me know my car was finished, they closed the shop for the night, leaving my vehicle outside and unlocked. Although, the owner found out what happened and gave me a partial discount. read more

I am incredibly happy with these guys. We brought our car to them for brakes and struts and they did a fantastic job, and were very honest and fair about the whole process. I can't recommend them enough for any kind of car work that you need done. My highest recommendation. read more

I reserved a U-Haul trailer to be picked up at 8:00 AM December 27th online the night before. Showed up to pick up the trailer at 8:00 AM sharp, and no one was working. The doors were locked, no one answered the phone, and there was no note on the door saying they weren't working. I had to call U-Haul and have them figure out how to transfer my reservation to a different location. The only place that had a trailer that fit what I needed, was 15 miles away and completely out of my way. This was a really bad experience and was very unprofessional. I will not be renting a U-Haul trailer or truck or getting my brakes or muffler worked on at this location ever again. read more

Took our car here since it was so close to our home . Said it would be done by 5 that day but took 3 days . They tried to compensate with a free oil change which was a nice gesture but I really just needed my car . They do good work just take a long time . read more

Can't even tell you about their ability as mechanics, I never got that far, but I had a really weird customer service experience here this morning. Basically a guy pecking at a computer for 10 minutes, without even trying to find out why I was there. Four of the saddest people waiting in their cramped office waiting for something. It looks to me like their top priority is their UHaul rental business, because he was working on renting someone a uhaul the whole time. I called another place while in line, and they got me right in. Just my opinion, but hire someone to handle the UHaul business on the weekend, and if you still want to run a mechanic shop on the side, help those customers as well. read more

Before buying my motorhome, I paid Quality Muffler & Brake $120 to inspect unit and give me a report on its mechanical conditions. Their written report said "shocks in good condition." Less than one month later, and after one trip, and experiencing poor handling and control, a different shop found the shocks were "completely shot" (according to the new mechanic, they had been leaking fluid for a long time). I had to replace both shocks at a cost of $300. Tom at Quality Muffler & Brake agreed to pay for half the replacement cost; the motorhome dealer, the other half. The dealer mailed a check. Six months later, after one letter and two phone calls- I am still waiting for a check from Tom. Where's the money? read more

I was very unsatisfied with the service I received here. I dropped off my vehicle on a Friday morning, and I didn't hear back from them by the following Tuesday, so I called them. Tom didn't seem to know much about the spiel I gave to the guy I dropped my vehicle off with, so I had to give the spiel again to him. He said he would do a compression test on my vehicle, and would call me the next day. He never called me the next day. I tried calling him all day on Thursday, and my call wouldn't go through. I had to go to the shop in person to find out what was going on. At this point my vehicle had been there for an entire week, and I had yet to receive a phone call. The compression test which was supposed to be done on Wednesday still hadn't been done. Very frustrating. He said the phones were down nation wide for the past three days, which explains why I couldn't get through, but I don't understand why they couldn't just call me on their cell phones. Very frustrating experience all around. read more
