One night stay on the way to SLC. Convenient, clean, quiet. Nothing spectacular. You could tell the hotel had been remodeled. We asked for a room on the 2nd floor (ground level). We had two dogs (one a service dog) both well trained. The front desk guy said we had to be in the basement because of the dogs, and that dogs were never allowed on the 2nd or 3rd floors. At breakfast (too icky to eat) we met a couple who had a 9mo old pup. They stayed on the 2nd floor. So the front desk guy lied to us, which I do not appreciate. This place is horrible. We checked in on Friday night. Got to the room. Out dated number one. Then there was a layer of dirt on the edges of the carpet, a divot covered by carpet, then the bathroom. Rust in the tub, mold and grime in the corners. We checked out that night. We tried to let their corporate offices know about this, and we could never get to anyone. The manager who dealt with us stated we were liars. I would suggest NOT booking with Quality Inn or any Choice Hotels. They don't back their product. If I could give it zero stars I would read more

This was a clean hotel. Room service to help keep the room clean and tidy was spot on. The reception desk was friendly. The free breakfast was good. We were close to other amenities and food. We enjoyed the comfy beds and air conditioning. My kids enjoyed the pool even though it was a pretty small size. read more

I just checked out today from this hotel. This hotel does not have internet on the room. If yiu need internet you had to go to breakfast area. I was not told about this internet until we checkin in and gave the credit card ...I felt she should be upfront before we checkin...and gave us alternative to refund our money because they did not deliver what they advertise. Nice affordable place to stay. They are surrounded by beautiful canyons. The check in staff was very nice. They have pet friendly rooms. The bed was comfortable but I can sleep on pretty much anything. The breakfast is the typical chain fare, with make your own waffles, scrambled eggs(watery), toast, bagels, cereal and fruit. I didn't use the pool. The only down side was the tub, which should be replaced. There were 6 patch jobs on it. On the plus side of the bathroom was what looked like be floors and paint. It's clean. And the doors to the rooms are internal. That is it. If you get this room for under $60 a night it's fine, but due to the limited amount of hotels in the areas surrounding the National Parks in the area the pricing of this and other road side motels can double or triple the actual value. Yes, the room was clean. Yes, there was a fridge, coffee maker, and PTAC unit. My TV was fuzzy and would randomly shut off. And the room was double the room rate. Honestly, unless you are desperate to visit the Utah Parks in this area, save yourself the imminent despair of mediocrity and travel to Arizona and New Mexico. The scenery is just as beautiful, but with better lodging, and overall hospitality. read more

Made reservations through hotels.Then upon enter the side door to go our room, we notice the whole foundation was cracked and it seemed the whole building is shifting. Door could barely open as it rubbed on cement I would have cancelled, but nowhere else to go and wouldn't get money back. Once in the room, the bathtub was gross and the floor looked new, but it wasn't even glued down. The whole floor in the room seemed uneven and very unstable. Didn't sleep well. Could have been this side of the building, but it made us very disappointed. I would forgo the chance. Didn't think to take pics to share. Whole side of building had cracks and windows are uneven due to shifting. Is there no building inspector in this area ? read more

I give this place 5/5 stars, As the price was in budget and the facility is clean & new! We had a family with us and the breakfast was awesome cost savings. Eggs & sausage, bagels & cream cheese, multiple flavors of bagels. Cold cereal & milk along with 2 kinds of juice Apple & Orange. The rooms were very clean, the access is easy off of Highway 89. I stayed here several weeks ago when visiting local National Parks in the area. Hotels.com offered a great rate and I was thoroughly pleased with the accommodations. A pretty desk and main entrance/hallway with a welcoming fireplace is always a great start in my book. Off to the left of the main hallway, is a cozy sitting room to read or relax without being shut off in one's room. Their complimentary breakfast is offered from 6:30am to 9:30am. With juice, coffee, muffins, eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, milk, cereal and fresh fruit. There are a few tv's in the eating area to entertain or catch up on the local news. My room was cozy and clean, which is always appreciated. The bedding here was very superior, with high count thread sheets, and luxurious fluffly but firm pillows. However, one should really turn down the outside duvet or bed spread, they rarely get washed, even in the five star places. And wear socks, except the shower or do...whatever floats your boats. This city is a perfect gateway location for Zion and Bryce National Parks to the north or the Grand Canyon to the south. A very friendly and convenient store with petro is just across the street. Kanab has charming boutique shops full of local art as well as the usual travel trinkets. Go and enjoy!! read more

Very Poor experience Manager SAM POONIA We just finished packing out car in the front of the hotel and were waiting to figure out what to do in kanab since we had some spare time before out next destination. I went inside to sit in the lobby and use the WiFi to figure out there to go. The manager saw me at the standing at the brochure counter and asked if I needed help when I said yes he said I need to move the car as it had been there for an hour ( which was false it had been 26 minutes as noted on oyr car timer) I mentioned to him that my wife wanted to stay in the car and it was too hot under the sun. I said we are not bothering anyone just trying to plan out a route. He said "check out is 11 am and it's 11:46 you need to get the hell off the property" and he proceeds to tell me that I should park in the parking space ( where it's 104 today) He tells me that's our rules then he tells me if I don't like it he will give me a refund and I can stay somewhere else. I asked if I can submit my complaint to the management company he proceeded to give me his card and tell me to call this hotel and complaint. Well this was my experience at quality inn. In kanab. While I'm sure this is nit the service that is given elsewhere otherwise they wouldn't be in business. I feel sunny patel the franchisee should be aware of this. Looks great from the outside. I am not a fancy person but when they tell you the $200 dollar a night suite is the best in town you pretty much expect to be happy you got A room here. This is an old room with new carpet. The floor is crooked and the bathroom tile needs to be replaced. NO ...NONE elevator. Three flights of stairs after star told me it was just 6 steps. Lied. Room has old furniture and it smells. The ceiling in the room is bad. This hotel is a motel at best and it is NOT worth a penny over 49.99. Two old chairs with food stains. No elevator . Do yourself a favor and keep on driving if the hotels are full in Kanab. read more

We didn't have a full roll of toilet paper or a new pack of tissues when we arrived. The tub looked old, the furniture looked old, the sink was not inside the bathroom which was weird. This hotel is WAY overpriced for what you get. Stayed here over the weekend and was on the first floor And you can head every footstep on the floor above. Our door to the room was also totally Mia-aligned from the doorframe and without unlocking it you could jiggle the door back and forth to open. Our room was still Dirty when we checked in as well with food and grease smeared all over the desk chair. The hotel staff was friendly but what are they supposed to do about poor quality construction. This Quality Inn feels like it was recently renovated, and the room felt new and up to date. The lobby was decorated in a nice Christmas theme for the season, and it made the hotel feel very cozy and welcoming. It was spacious and clean, but the bed was a little too soft to my liking. Wifi was free and pretty fast, too. There was hot coffee and water provided in the lobby 24/7, and breakfast from 6-9:30 which consisted of sausages, eggs, breads, waffles, juices, etc. Only possible downside is that there isn't an elevator, so be ready for a workout if you have a lot of luggage and live on any floor other than ground. The staff were very accommodating. The hotel has 3 levels and no elevator. We were originally given a 3rd floor room but once we realized there was no elevator we asked for a ground floor room. They quickly changed our room without any hesitation. It was greatly appreciated because we are a family of four and had a lot of luggage. The breakfast that is offered in the morning was typical. Nothing special but plenty of variety to satisfy our family. There is ample parking and a Wendy's and gas station within walking distance. read more

The higher "stars" are always posted by the owner. Always. So here's what we found. Room: nice, good mattresses. Air conditioner has two settings, too hot and too cold. There probably is no working thermostat. Opened a window. Grateful for the openable Windows. Also a wonderful view of red cliffs that. Surround the town. Sink & tub badly worn. This hotel HAS TO stop using "bedspreads" which are always covered with organic material you don't want to know about. They need to adopt the nearly uniform "sheet under a blanket under a top sheet which is the rule in US hotels. OK this is Utah, where the worst hotels generally are found, but it's 2016. Get rid of the semen stains. Breakfast: scant food. Only nondairy creamer. Who does that, half & half is cheaper? Only grape jelly, no strawberry, raspberry etc. jam. No yoghurt. In all our travels, never came across a breakfast with no yoghurt. OK given they had two busfuls of tourists before us, so it's understandable that the breakfast room would be messy. But a tip jar? This town was fully booked when we arrived bbc of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon owning yesterday. This hotel was the only one with vacancies. So you can see why. read more

I have no idea how this gets four stars from anyone, they obviously had a very different experience than I did. The room smelled bad, the staff was never around, the dining room was a joke... Full of mismatched tables that were broken. The first floor rooms are actually in the basement, so my window looked into a window well by the pool. I had to keep my curtains shut the whole time or anybody walking by could look right down into my room. The maintenance man was the only person who seemed to care about the guests. This place is not "quality" as the name implies. We have stayed at many quality inns and NONE of them have been like this. Dirty, floors are super angled like up and down, even in the rooms. We went to the "pool". Tiny, 3-4 feet deep--the jacuzzi was cemented over with blue cement, looking trashy. And our towels we left out stayed on the chairs and were still there when we left the next day. Main trashes throughout the hotel outside and in were never taken out. On a positive note, the A/C worked well and the beds were pretty comfy. But this hotel is old, tired and needs some love. Would not recommend. read more

The room was so smelly that I did not sleep at all. Thea pool was not cleaned. We stayed for two nights because it was already planned. The staffs are friendly. Breakfast was good but there was a large group of Korean for a tour. They were noisy. Have to say there is no elevator so be sure to book on the second floor which it is the main floor. Worse night of my life! Hotel so poorly constructed I couldn't sleep in the rooms near the breakfast room. It sounded like a herd of elephants walking around starting at 4:30 am and still going when I left at 10:30 am. I spoke with the desk clerk about the problem. It was clearly a common issue. I did get a good rate here, through Expedia, a couple of weeks before out trip. I know it was good, because when I checked in, the front desk person would not confirm my rate, continually saying that he saw it on his screen, but would not reveal it out loud, because someone near the front desk might hear it, I assume. Funny. They were doing renovation, and there were bed frames and mattresses all along the hallway on the third floor. But after the third night, they completed that project. A couple of suggestions. They keep the glass sliding doors closed, leading into an adjacent room off the lobby, which has the only lobby chairs that offer seating. That should be open. I tried to use the guest computer, that for all intents and purposes appeared it would work. When prompted for a Guest Password, I walked over to the same Front Desk guy( who had seen me trying to log in at the computer ), and asked him for the password. Response, Yeah, it does not work. Well, Put a sign on the Damn thing! Anyway, our room was fine, and the breakfast is well stocked, and attended by a pleasant woman, at all times. read more
