This Quality Inn feels like it's been freshly renovated or updated. Everything smells freshly laundered - the pillows, the towels, it's great. They had a clean washroom with lots of towels provided. The high water pressure in the shower was really nice and appreciated. Sturdy rack for hanging drying clothes was also useful. The air conditioning does blow directly on the outside of the two double beds. Three pillows were provided for each double bed. Lots of lamps provided ample lighting. Most were operated by a switch on the bottom and also had a power plug. 4 plug power outlet provided at bedside table. The breakfast area with tables and booths in a sit-down restaurant style was a nice change of pace from before. Sausages sat in a pool of oil but otherwise the breakfast was good. There were some older reviews that referenced bugs or roaches? I didn't see any.

Not so Cle n!
Liam S.

Their is nothing quality about this inn. The marquee advertises that they have the "Cle nest rooms in town". the first day we were stuck cleaning our own room because only one worker showed up for work that day. The second day coffee was still in the pot that they never cleaned from the guest that stayed in the room previously. The did not replace the towels so we had to call front desk and was told it would be 2 hours till we got fresh ones. WTH!!!! What kind of hotel does not have enough towels to replace the dirty ones with when they clean the room? Unfortunately this was the hotel that was blocked off for the wedding we were here to attend. It was described as the best hotel in town. If that is the case I would recommend avoiding all hotels off of exit 399 on I-75!

The inn is not high end enough to rate a five but for the price this place was fantastic. Comfortable, clean and very very friendly staff.

Don't stay here, these people are thieves. They advertise one price and then charge twice as much.

Alachua was 20 minutes from the park plus this hotel was cheaper than any hotel I researched in Lake City. I used my Hilton app to get into my room and skipped the front desk (the line was long). Our room was nice. It was clean and I loved the modern new look of everything. The bed was comfortable and I slept pretty well (except for my friends snoring lol). I had breakfast before checking out Saturday which included fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. There was plenty of parking and we were able to walk to dinner. I would stay here again if in the area!

The room was spacious and well appointed. We were very disappointed when we checked in. The girl at the desk barely acknowledged me when we walked in. Did't even ask me if I was an Honors member. I was glad we checked in early with the Hilton app so I didn't have to deal with her. The Manager needs to give her a course in Customer Relations. We were also disappointed that we weren't told that breakfast was only until 9:00 am not the usual 10:00 am so when we got there at 9:00 it was closed. Fortunately, the morning front desk lady made us togo bags full of goodies. Seems the owner has changed the usual Hampton breakfast closing time from 10 to 9. I don't think it is going to be a welcome change.

I will definitely stay here again when I am traveling in the area.

It's in a safe location and 1 minute from a Publix grocery store. A very quiet area. We were in town for a softball tournament and the hotel was 25 minutes away from Newberry which felt like 10 minutes driving. The breakfast was really good. Sausage, biscuits and gravy one day, bacon, eggs and your standard cereal, bagels etc. Definitely worth a visit. The pool is a really nice addition as well as the hot tub (unfortunately it was not hot at all), both are outside. There is a sitting area with a fireplace but it didn't not work. Maybe the propane was out. Our room was the standard 2 queen bedroom. Very clean in every aspect. Our sink needed to be checked as it filled pretty quickly and the toilet ran until you put the handle down after use. Not a big deal but just FYI. Now I was disappointed in the television I not having any apps to watch. It was the standard cable TV. I guess I'm spoiled. Other than that, I would definitely stay again and you should too!!

As they escorted us to our table, they explained the layout and all the food options available, which was very helpful. They also provided table service for drinks and clearing plates, which made everything feel very organized and relaxing. The food was excellent -- the prime rib was absolutely delicious. I also loved that the desserts were bite-sized, so you could try a variety without overdoing it. The brunch was also very well priced, especially for the quality and variety offered, and they even had a kids buffet which was a nice touch for families. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a nice brunch outing.

A manager, Ari, was delightful, giving us a summary of what we are offered as guests of the hotel. Our room was #366, which we would soon discover was a handicap-accessible room. This was not a problem for us, but since my wife has a 25+ year history as a case manager for people with physical and mental challenges, she assessed the room and took joy in pointing out its deficiencies for the "definitely abled" population. The major one was how furniture placement creates challenges for a person who uses a wheelchair or motorized chair to access the bed. No way to climb, slide, or be lifted into the bed, certainly not around the sharp-cornered desk. Now, as for the bed itself. The mattress has seen its best days around 20 years ago. Springs can be felt easily, and if one shifts, the whole bed moves. And movement will be accompanied by sound effects, for a loose piece of metal flashing flaps noticeably underneath the bed, especially if one seeks to practice the finer arts of marital massage. But, hey, sound effects are freebies, right? Finally, the basic, handwritten "Do Not Touch" sign on the a/c unit, which blows loudly, even loudly enough to compete with Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2 on sound setting 25, is an interesting touch. The hotel needs a general update. As I said earlier, this is our second stay, and by comparison, it is about 2-3 stars lower than our last, back when we stayed here to celebrate my cousin Beau's wedding. But that is not Ari's fault; she is a delight.

From the street, Camellia Rose appears to be a well maintained historic looking building. It's a pretty decent size with a nice yard and water fountain out front as well as nice parking. When we arrived, Mrs Pat met us at the door and welcomed us in. She showed us around and scheduled a time for breakfast. She told us to call if we needed anything and was very sweet. We went to a ballgame and had dinner and then went to Rockeys in town before heading back. When we got back we immediately got in the big jacuzzi tub. (We stayed in anticipation). There's bathing salt provided which made it even better. The temperature and water pressure was great, everything was very clean and taken care of. There were a lot of little details that made the room even better. The bed was comfy- my honey didn't want to get up the next morning due to how soft the bed was. I ended up getting him up and we went and got coffee and sat out front for a few minutes before breakfast. Once it was served, we had fresh sweet fruit, some kind of egg dish that was my absolute favorite (the boyfriend stated I needed to "up my breakfast game" the next time I cooked haha), sausage, and a really good pumpkin bread that I could barely eat because I was so full. We refilled our coffee and sat on the upper balcony for the rest of our stay which was relaxing. It was a little chilly but there was a small blanket in our room I could cover up in as I sipped my coffee. All in all a very great place to stay and we look forward to returning! PROS: - very quiet and relaxing; not like a hotel room where people are yelling in the halls randomly - Excellent breakfast that will have you extra full and ready for the day - I recommend definitely getting a room with the big tub. I would stay in it all day with a book if I could - clean and well maintained - quick uber/drive away from everything - great patio to relax in the mornings or nights
